I really like your channel because you explain things well. You don’t assume everyone knows everything about the fashion industry. I hope you & your community continue this non-snobby approach!
Uch the story about his mother wearing the skirt to pick him up from school brought a tear to my eye. She gave him so much confidence and validation in that moment, all that love translates clearly in his work. The line is an ode to his mother- beautiful
For the last few months I’ve been talking to the universe that I want to learn something new. I don’t believe in traditional educational systems unless it’s essential practices like doctors, scientists, engineers etc. so I was curious to see what life would throw at me. And then I found your channel. You have inspired me to not only learn about fashion, but to also pursue it as a career. And I am so grateful for that. You deserve to know and be proud of how inspiring your videos are, even if you don’t see it sometimes. Thank you and keep going, incredible work!
Ty for putting these videos together, it’s giving self-made fashion historian, Simon is one of my favorite designers as well and his story explained so well by yourself helps inspire me more
Shopping at the Webster in Soho August 2020, I purchased a $900 Jacquemus sweater and honestly had no idea who he was at the time. Didn’t even look at the label until much later. I genuinely love all his pieces and will continue to buy!
Thank you for this channel, I've always wanted to learn a bit more about these fashion brands. I have taken a keen interest in fashion lately and this is just fantastic content
Omg he went from damsel to daddy 😍 lol also your channel is amazing !!! I loved Vivienne Westwood and a couple others history good job and great name!!! Xoxo
RESPECT!! Learned alot from this video also found the importance of a story, the background of why he started this brand makes me wanna support it more this was dope!
you forgot to include his generational wealth. he always had money and did not just come from nothing as implied. he came from a family with no fashion background maybe, but not from a family with little or just middle-class money.
_Was_ it implied, or did you just hear the absence of “he wasn’t born poor” and have a knee-jerk response? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence
His "generational wealth" still wasn't enough as he struggled to keep his business open for the first half decade. Making a high fashion brand without a fashion background is ridiculously hard, because fashion is so overprotective. That's why for most young fashion brands, the founder has either just graduated or they've worked at a larger fashion house prior to making their own.

You have serious mental health problems.
Never knew that He worked retail at Comme and supported by Adrian himself. It's crazy that Comme helped so many aspiring designers.
