I like how in the invisible enemies mode we can still see the mirror reflecting a zombie
You can also see their reflections in any puddles that are in the game!
Chris will always be my fav re character regardless if playing him is a pain lol

Just got the platinum, my recommendations.
1st run, easiest difficulty, jill, save everyone, 100% all rooms.
2nd run, jill, copy the jill WR speedrun but the throw in saves every 10 mins so you can retry if you feel like you stuffed up, i did this and managed 2:19 but was panicking thinking i would be over.
3rd run, chris, hard, save everyone. The rocket launcher being unlocked make this easy, also dont save run, after the speedrun practise this makes it easy. Dangerous sections i think is the walls closing room, boulders, pushing the rocks off in the 2nd last boss fight the boss can knock you off, and forgetting to walk when have the fuel. Also those animals at the end who hang from the roof, kill them all.
4th run, chris, easiest difficulty, knife only, save no one.
5th and 6th run, jill invisible enemies easiest difficulty, and survival mode.
I think dong this in 4 runs would be a stretch.
For the speedrun after you have finished a section and saved remember to quit back to the main menu while you are studying the next section then load your game when you're ready. The timer keeps running in game paused.
My on my favorite platinum. Had a heart breaker run when the exploding zombie caught me late game and died to my defensive flash grenade in the no save Chris knife only run.
I’ve always preferred playing as Chris but yeah - when I got the remaster I waited until I unlocked the infinite rocket launcher with Jill before playing as Chris. No need to backtrack for the broken shotgun if you don’t need it! 🤣
Damn i love your intro. Also this is enjoyable to watch you rip this game to shreds for the Plat, one of the best titles of all time (Second to RE2)
This game needs to be put in a Time Capsule, or sent into space for the aliens because it is the pinnacle of the video game industry as far as I’m concerned.
Lol it’s far from the pinnacle. If anything is at the pinnacle then it’s Red Dead Redemption 2. Not for long though give it five years and there will be a game just as good if not better like GTA VI or another phenomenal AAA title.
One day video games will be completely indistinguishable from reality. Picture Roy from Rick and Morty where he lived another persons life yet it felt like his own. Now that would be the absolute pinnacle of video games.

Hard disagree with what you said at 37:20. Doing them all at once didn't save me a lot of time.
Aside from numerous runs dying to the Crimson boss early on, I had these significant run killers:
1 died to plant 42
2 died after the section where you walk with the explosive canister to those insects as I got disoriented running away
3 died to the boulder
4 died to the two hunters when returning to the mansion
5 died to 3 dogs after getting poisoned by snakes after placing battery
6 died to lisa trevor late game she hit me off edge
7 died to plant 42 again.
I'm done with this. I'm going to split it up and Im going to split it up into THREE runs. Yes that's right. Three.
Knife only, saving, very easy.
speedrun, saving, normal
no saving, very easy
The dying to Lisa Trevor end game when I had combined them all was a heart breaker and caused me to quit trying for 2 years but I'm back with a vengeance... first runs I died to plant 42 and Crimson boss, i'm now thinking why am I punishing myself by combining knife only, speedrun and no saving.
The speedrun isn't that punishing that you need to combine it with no saving.
And with knife only use saves so I don't have to do the entire game again when I die late game.
I will do no-save in my own time using weapons so I don't need to have a heart attack when coming up against plant 42. And rush through everything reducing my life expectancy by 10 years. In the end I am saving time!
This game still frightens me not because it’s scary and all but because it’s confusing and the mansion is big as fuck. I want to beat the game under 5 hours at least at Normal difficulty. What I could do is watch Carcinogen’s hour speedrun on Chris after I view this video to get a gist on what this game will be again. (I’ve beaten this game like 3-4 times.)
Rebecca was Rambo in RE0, while in 1 she is comparable to the president's daughter in 4.

I think forest only appears in real survivor mode but you may want to double check that if you're not confident

Thats not always as straight foward as you make it sound. The every nook and cranny trophy is a shining example of that

It is impossible to finish Resident Evil without opening the item box because I want to throw the knife away I never used the knife the most useless item in the game now that I've watched the whole video I see how it's possible to beat the game with a knife
yeah its a bit stupid to atempted the 3rd run knife only, no save, under 3 hours. Just the crimson head on normal difficulty can zero your career or ;are you loose too much time.
Might as well go for the same run but without no save and keep it for the last run invisible enemies, no save, no using item box. You illicit rocket launch everyone and call it a day.
at least that's what im planning to do.
The game is awesome because I love the genre but the door animations kill It for me
I got this Platinum. The hardest part about getting this Platinum is you need to finish it in under 3 hours. And there is NO WAY to pause the ingame timer. So pausing the game the timer keeps running. So you need to have a knowledge of the entire game in side and out to get this. I used a video guide.
But since l couldn't pause the game, I would watch the video WHILE playing at the same time. Needless to say it wasn't always perfect. And If l was abit to slow and the video got ahead of me, I would pause the video until l caught up and then do both at the same time again. Was quite stressful haha
Not just the one of the greatest remakes of all times, to me it's the greatest game ever, hands down

It really is a great game! It’s not best game ever to me but it is definitely the best resident evil game ever in my opinion. This is the only resident evil game i got the platinum twice for, thats how much i love it.

“Real Survivor mode” just means real shit mode. Separating the item boxes only makes playing the game more tedious not more difficult, just extra boring and time wasting.
Recently got the plat & got it in 4 playthroughs
1st playthrough was Jill, Normal, Every nook & cranny, Best Ending. Finished in 7 ½ hours.
2nd playthrough was Chris, Very Easy, Knife only, Best Ending. Finished in 4 hours 10 minutes.
3rd playthrough was Jill, Real Survival, Speedrun, No Save, Bad Ending. Finished in 2 hours 17 minutes. Took 4 attempts.
4th playthough was Chris, Very Easy, Invisible Enemies, Bad Ending. Finished in 2 ½ hours.
Now I'm just stalling with RE0.
What a game!!! Matt im currently playing threw the series its taken me about a year so far n just finished re 4 n i just fell in love with the series. But i have a question continuing should i skip the umbrella chronicals n go to revelations next or play them ?
There is trophy collect all item? Which mean every item? (Herb,ammo,knife dagger,battery pack?)
The way I'm doing this is:
Playthrough 1: Chris, Every nook and cranny, plus his associated achievements.
Real Survival: Jill, plus her associated achievements.
3 hour knife only no save: Chris, everyone dies.
Invisible Enemies: Goddess Waifu Jill on easy/very easy. Everyone dies.
3 hour knife only no saves would be rough

This game would look probably scary if your a kid playing this for the first time hearing Rebeccas scream or seeing invisible enemies mode and Forest who can blow up the whole mansion
