During the French Revolution in 1791, farmer Marie Harel is said to have hidden a priest on her farm. In return, he revealed the secrets of cheese-making to her. Here in Vancouver, I can buy French Camembert cheese from many European supermarket. So delicious and tasteful I eat it every morning breakfast.😀😃😄😁😆😅

I wish the land for cows to pasture was as beautiful as France. Here in the U.S., the cows don't have the same treatment as in France. In France, the cows look happy, beautiful, and they have a wonderful land to graze on...

It's a bit funny how the most French place in France seem to be in Normandy. Here in Norway we call a Norwegian a "Nordman", pronounced "norman" -> meaning "Northman". The same as in Normandie.
The name means exactly that! Normandy is called like that because the territory was invaded and taken by Nordmen in the Xth century. Normandie basically means "Land of the Nordmen".

It is from here that a local lord, Guillaume le Conquérant, swallow England (Hastings 1066) rather than ....France. Yes, England is both French and Nordman...... I have been in Normandy but at the WW2 battlefield with bunkers and cannons. I didn’t try any kinds of cheeses 🧀 unfortunately. However, I ate Escargot 🐌 and liver pate with baguettes 🥖 oui oui.
