  • I tried to also show who sings when! All sung by Ho-kago Tea Time (放課後ティタイム) in the full version of けいおん!!S2OP2!!
I use these for 3D music in VRC but I want to share them because the quality is so uniquely high!
The isolation is very clean aside from the crackling. Maybe the vocals were peaking in the original track, masked by the other instruments. I'm not sure I heard Mio and Azusa at all for most of the backing in the song, but knowing what I know now about a song with Azusa, and looking at the cover art, the producers probably put them very quietly in the back there so I added some question marks at those parts where it'd actually make sense for them to be in. I'm convinced I heard each of them at least once in similar parts though. Maybe if your headphones have better imaging you could confirm it for me! :P Also, maybe Mio was singing the backing in the end, still 75% sure it's Mugi.
This must be the most dynamic K-On song there is and it's one of my favorites! That's why I wanted to do something special to show all the tracks that are playing for one character as best as I could which I think turned out amazing! The cover art being in front of a whiteboard helped inspire that, which I made a blackboard for better contrast!
The frog mascot shows just the last guitar that was somehow omnipresent even in this track, and couldn't be removed, though luckily it's quieter here.
Color meanings: Green = unaltered isolated track. Lime green = minor panning changes or mono render if lead guitar. Yellow = unavoidable major panning or volume changes. Red = phase cancelled out. White = not playing. Gray/Desaturated = not relevant for current track.
    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
No AI or other filters were used at all. I inverted the phase of the instrumental track and put it exactly over the original track, rendered in original stereo. I wish I could do lead vocals only but the best I could come up with is to render the track in mono so the backing vocals blend into the lead vocals, which isn't too good. It's 5dB lower than the original to prevent further peaking of the crackling sound. Look at the tutorial I made in the playlist description for more details:
    • Go! Go! MANIAC - All I...
I think the very quiet parts from the other instruments carrying over is mostly from the many small audio compression differences between the tracks, although I kinda like it like that. It feels like the sound is bleeding over from them wearing headphones when singing along to the song or something
Thanks for listening, use this as you wish!
