Hi, I'm Tom - I love board games and I've been playing...well, hundreds of them now here on TH-cam so you can get an idea of what they are like to play. I explain the games as I'm playing, and I try to go through the whole game when I can. There's also a video where I give my thoughts on each game, but don't take my word for it - have a look at the playthrough and see what's out there in the wonderful world of board games!

19:22, 23:20 You give the Corrupt Magister actions only for his buildings, but according to the rules (p15 Perform an Action, in red): “They take the intended action as many times as the total number of the corrupt magistrate’s and the high courtier’s buildings in the active row.”
At 14:54, you place a second camel on the Camel Market. I though you were limited to one camel per trade action (p6 rulebook: “place one camel in the camel market and gain the reward shown”).

Close and wobbly for me Tom! 😂 I’ve tried watching other people’s videos for this but now you’ve done it this will be the only one I watch

Not so much a rules mistake, but perhaps an oversight. On the third turn at 20:39 - 23:03 using the third row, you could have used the Camel Market to collect the two camels there. (You didn't have any camels at that time, but it you did, you could have used a different action instead.)

For the Corrupt Magistrate's third tiebreaker at 3:04, does "furthest from the queue" mean from the "current" queue? This would make the Corrupt Magistrate go for the spot that maximizes his chance at going first next round. I figured he's "corrupt", so he'll try to go first when possible.

I wondered the same thing as I did the Klingon subtitles. I re-read the rules and all it said was furthest from the queue. It does not specify which queue. I will have to investigate further to see if I can get any clarification on this, but what you said makes a lot of sense.

It is furthest from the current queue you start in (not future queues). The Corrupt Magister starts in first position in setup and will try, in case of a tie, to get the first place by choosing furthest from the queue. It allows him to have more chances at first position next turn if no one finds camels to change turn order. Otherwise, it would mean that he would be stuck at 3rd position until he gets camels to change turn order.
The High Courtier is the other way: when the Corrupt Magister chooses his action slot, in case of a tie “they choose the row that is closest to the queue”. That way, it makes the High Courtier more likely to choose first, be last on turn order, and so, always use his camels to advance in the queue when he has them or be last if he hasn’t any.
This way is also represented in the setup by the Corrupt Magister taking first place and the High Courtier last.
And Paul Grogan and Ricky Royal also interpret it like this.

On Page 7 of the rulebook, under "Play Example: A Turn", the play examples use the terms "from the queue" to refer to the current queue.
And under "Round End", the term "next queue" is also used for the future queue.
So it does look like "from the queue" refers to the current queue.

@@Stewiekev Yes I think he mixed them up. The Corrupt would go into Action Slot 5 and The High Courtier in Action Slot 1 from Page 15.
Page 7 does indeed clarify that it means the Queue is the current active turn one. Basically the next turn Queue doesn't exist until after all actions are complete (player/corrupt/high) so a Queue with nobody in it isn't a Queue.
To be fair I've only played it a little bit and it's not that intuitive IMO..seems like a game that will need a lot of pays before you know what your doing due to all the ways to earn points.

Hi Tom, this looks like Five Tribes with a solo (Theme, worker placement mechanics, replayability). What do you think about this? Not sure games will be different enough to keep it on the table for too long, am I wrong?
