Created by Vancouver Film School student Diego Piccinato through the VFS 3D Animation & Visual Effects program.
You may disagree but i think this is one of the very few professionally made demo reels that VFS should feature on their website and be proud of to say "that is our student and that is the quality of work we teach at out school". I seen so many demo reels from VFS and this one is the best in terms of quality, color, composition, looking real, feeling real and alove and sounding good. Good job!
THAT WAS AMAZING... VFS always has brilliant students - but this is by a long way the best VFX reel i've seen in a loooonnng time! :D you are awesome!

NIce work!! The quality is awesome. Its inspiring to know that with VFX any idea is possible. After watching this level of detail makes me work harder in my own projects. I wish someday I could reach that master level.

@Xyfi1 I think it's a Projection. He placed geometry on each spot of the
picture that would move if you would make a camera pan. So like the poles, floor, background. Google for Camera Projection
I loved the projection part, the last part the most!
The last scene, it's a 3D scene generated from a picture? Because i saw a sort-like thing in the last VFS video.

I was wondering, Does the actors in the reels are students from the acting course or just some friends who want to be in our demo reel? And another question, do we use 3DS Max for 3d animations? I know that ZBrush and Maya are used. I'm asking that because I would like to start using the same softwares as you before going there in 2013. I'm currently using after effects and Blender.

so student requirements are that you have experience with Maya before enrolling?
Maya Nuke etc.You must have the basic knowledge .
