Mage can cheese the fight pretty hard with blink, alter, barrier and overall good damage. But yeah if you're a druid have fun. Its painful for balance but even on feral at 615ilvl if he hits you then crits on the 2nd hit you're probably dead. It's a basically a combination of the two worst things you can do with solo encounter design. Its not balanced with every spec in mind and its ultimately rng, you get a bad pattern of mechanics you're dead, you got crit you're probably dead. Doing it on repeat until you get lucky just means when you finally kill it you don't feel like you acomplished anything, you're just glad its over.
@EmpyreanDreamer frost mage is one of the worst damage in the game on bosses. Feral is way higher on the logs also it has many talents that can help. Look at ur trees and make a builld. Once I looked around and found energizing barriers and tweaked my build for the encounter i beat it as a 612 frost mage. Feral has very good survivability inherently. Try using brann as a healer w defensive shield relic (idr the name) and amorphous it helps.
Anyone that’s still having trouble the spell enfeebling spittle is able to be removed with any move that removes snares even avatar for warrior works!! Best of luck all!

The problem as a DPS is the true RNG is his damn autos. As a warrior he's hitting for 1.8 mill on average, well over 3 almost 4 mill on crits (which is RIDICIOUS). As arms I have something up for evrey add, which honestly makes it just fine. Either roar comes off, BS, something, saving ava for boss damage. Still haven't even seen 50%, the RNG is insane
Devokers have stun immunity spells, deep breath, hover, and more. They are super mobile which means they can easily maneuver boss and adds. The main problem with this boss is how rng the egg spawn is.@Julmaa87
I'm having trouble with him as fury. I have to save pummel for enfeebling spittle, if he gets that off you're dead unless you have avatar ready and can pop that fast. That means the boss heals are going through. with little 800k dps after 5 min i missed a kick and he just healed backl to 90% hp. And then there's the random crits for 6M thats just annoying
Here is the advice... spec into double bladestorm, charge talent that removes movement debuff, dont use odyns fury. Just use avatar and recklessness to break out of posion. Also you have to save interrupts for his heals he heals so much
ok well im going to say i have pulled zekvir pre nerf over 100 times and not being able to down him on my ret paladin as soon as i saw this video i was able to down him in 2 pulls im grateful for bringing this nerf to my attention i did not think i would be able to down him until at least the end of the season really thank you from the bottom of my hear

Dot/Clawing Shadow/Coil build , only sockets ( no crafted gear) ive done all delves in it and solo dps , and brand 48 lvl healer always ;) i couldn't outdps the cocon(add) and yet if San'Lyan Unholy doesn't get love from blizz , i have to forget Zekvir . I got all classes but this is not the way i wanna play it , i like my DK ( only class efficient in arena ... Was ) and i will keep trying ;) gg wp buddy gratz again!
All those impossible overlaps are irrelevant if you're ranged. You just stay close to the boss at all times and you never have to run a mile to get into melee on an egg, then you never have frontals too wide to escape or fears mashed up against the wall. Doing this as Frost did my absolute head in. This video just confirmed everything I was thinking about how terribly unlucky I was getting on the DK. So I did it in 20 minutes as a shadow priest. Now granted my priest is geared to the fucking moon... but the main point is that you can interrupt every heal and remove every spittle. It doesn't matter if Brann dies because you just don't need him at all. Sure you're going to grab his potions if he's up but if he goes down for 30 seconds just use Vampiric Embrace and heal up. Edit: my priest is geared but I exclusively play healer specs. I know nothing about how to play shadow.
Pulled it off with 610 enhancement shaman. Just had to get lucky enough to not get 1shotted by a melee crit. Saved primo wave to deal with cocoon, ghost wolf to cleanse the spittle, saved lust and ascendance for 2nd phase at 60%. 1 add broke out because of bad damage rng (i could sometimes 1shot cocoons but sometimes I'd do 15% of their hp with a nuke instead) so had to burn an interrupt on the spider but got lucky and didn't get a heal for 12 seconds rest is just doing dps and dodging
Use the mad queen mandate trinket if get it from the vault/delves/final raid boss. It is completely broken for this fight; makes the killing of the cocoons trivial
I am not having a DPS issue, as my DPS is usually enough to deal with the Eggs (611 Enh Shaman) the problem I am consistently running into is that his damage is just insane. He hits me for 2 mil each hit and Spittle will hit for 1mil tick till I die. So I basically have to let him get heals off occasionally and never take a spittle or else I die. If he randomly crits me, I die. If he decides (bad RNG) to not cast for a while and just keep smacking me, I die. It's very very difficult to get a solid fight where he doesn't get some form of the above and kills me. I think it's really going to just come down to getting lucky which is stupid.
@@5555S5 Yea I figured this out reading other comments on this video, and after like 15-20 attempts I've realized it's literally just going to come down to good RNG and not dying to Melee crits for 4 million damage, and not getting uber fucked by the AOE's being put on the eggs as I try desperately to kill them before hatching. I'm not gonna waste my time hoping for good RNG on a fight that is over-tuned. He shouldn't be hitting me for 2 million a pop and definitely shouldn't be critting me for 4 million. I only have 5.5 mil lol. It's absurd, and I don't care to get a mount skin for a mount i'll never use anyway.

Yeah. Really hard for fury. We have to sacrifice cds often for spittles so killing webs is harder. We are pure melee with no ranged attacks except spear and our single target dmg is kind of bad. So it will definifely be harder. And we have to get to melee range to interrupt his heals, and when he spawns the egg all the way on the other side and start casting heals after i charge to kill... i cant get to him on time to interrupt.
Unholy DK would be a lot better here. You just play the Commander build with Rider and get to mount up and keep high ST damage from range with summons and clawing shadows.
Most busted thing about this boss is its rng egg spawns and ridiculous auto attack damage. Add that to cancerous timing on his healing spell after he spawns the egg on the opposite side of the room and you have to run back to him to try to interrupt the bastard. This is shitty for me the wasior...
I killed this on my 614 blood dk. My only problem is brann being absolute garbage of an npc. For some reason no matter where i pulled the boss brann just ran right under the bosses feet. He was feared everytime and i couldnt figure out how to get him to stop doing that. Finally got a good set of RNG after my 66th pull
This is by far the worst solo encounter they've ever created. Spell batching and rng make any thought or skill put into this fight completely irrelevant. You just luck your way into killing it or not.
I wish Brann would stop standing in Unending Spines and dying. As much as he loves to yell at me about standing in stuff, he's TERRIBLE about it himself!
@@BamaLam4 The main thing that helped was staying nearer the boss, if it does claw smash on you when you rush to the other side of the room for a web, you will die as you can’t escape it. Other than that I didn’t change anything, I think I got lucky.
As a 610 DPS DK, easymode Zekvir is now on farm and is a very effective way of getting Valorstones. I'm getting an average of 2 minutes per kill with every kill netting me 25 stones.

As 616ilvl BM hunter, as soon as fight starts, he one-shots pet, making half my abilities unusable. THen one shots me me while I try to revive pet. It's nonsense.
Turn off auto growl on pet and tank the boss yourself, have brann as your healer (go around heal yourself with brann's 3 potion), kick his heal and "disangade" the posion = GG, i completed it as a 610 ilvl BM hunter after tons of tries. I dare to say, once you get pass the first phase of this boss fight as a hunter, he become a lot easier in phase 2, as we can easy keep attacking while dodge the stuff on the ground, atleast its better then the boss melee crit you for 3M dmg randomly...

Use the curio that increases your size and healing and use healer bran. You should be fine. Boss is a joke after Nerf
Did on devastation evoker after watching this. Usually I heal, but it only took 7 pulls to kill. Definitely doable. 611ilvl

use talents that remove snares, never kick the spittle, just use stuff to remove it like ghost wolf

Can confirm it's not RNG, finally beat him after letting him heal 75% of his health as melee, felt like I've achieved true zen mode at the end.

Try changing brann to heals and also check online for a brann build arrow spear thingy and something else. You can do it

You could pretty easily solo him on tanks in the heroic week. Just had to get lucky with brann AI to kill the eggs.

the hardest part of ?? zekvir now is doing tier 9 and 10 delves to unlock it without falling asleep
9 and 10 are still pretty tough unless you're one of the cheese classes

You dont need 1M dps on the eggs. They have 7.5M and you have 15 seconds, so 500k dps.

Brann was bugged that week and scaled to match the delve scaling. It was a joke for everyone that tried that week and got the bug
