- Today I finally finished playing through all of Dark Souls 3 and the DLC's making Dark Souls 3 the fifth souls-like I have finished from Fromsoft. Today I played through the Ashes of Ariandel DLC and fought some crazy bosses like Sister Friede. My first time in the boss fight with Sister Frieda was similar to the first time I stepped into the ring with Malenia.

The thing I liked most was you beating Phase two pretty confidently with 6 Flasks left; and it just cuts to you - zero Flasks with about 2/3rds of Frieda's Health to go :D
3:16 this is where i made a crucial error. I was halfway across this bridge the first time i got to it and i thought "i wonder if this is like by Wolnir" so i smack the bridge like an idiot. Then i see the sides start to snap and i fell to my death trying to run across as it fell

i have to say, it took me a long time to work through DS3 the first time, including a break of several months, and i didn't really enjoy it all that much, i was kind of doing it for the sake of "completion." but for whatever reason, as soon as i finished it, i immediately wanted to start again, which i did. i enjoyed my second playthrough immensely, and just kept playing more after that. i ended up playing through it over ten times in the course of a few months, and it became a favorite game of mine. so i totally get that you want to keep playing it after finishing it the first time!

FromSoft games can be painful to run through while you learn them, but once you've got them figured out, it's so satisfying to play. I had this experience with Sekiro especially : the game destroyed me on my first playthrough, but the second time around, it became my favourite.
So... you did Ashes of Ariandel after Ringed City? or you just posted them in this order for no reason?

Sister Friede is my favorite ds3 boss, she is the true definition of an endurance fight. Other bosses you can brute force, just trading damage and healing. Sister Friede makes you learn how to deal with their moveset, cause you can't just keep tanking hits in a fight that long.
Also, the gotcha moment with the fake out victory was such a great touch. It got me good. Made me do the "dejected" emote in real life realizing that wasn't the end of the fight. Gives you a slab and everything. And then that hack Guardian Ape stole her joke.
125k souls lost.. we have all lost MILLIONS of souls on a single death. its not that bad bro. Was a fun stream too.
I lost 2 million yesterday but it was not that bad it’s just part of all of our character arcs

When i reach lvl 100 and have my main weapon +10. I don't care anymore whenever i lost 200K souls.
The ringed city dlc is much harder than the painted world. So be prepared to lose more souls.

my usual tries mastered 1 phase, being ok in 2 phase and got agro slashed in 3 phase

well I beat Friede and her pops when I first encountered the entrance, never checked, but if the DLC is meant to be endgame I was ridicliously underleveled, beating this boss was the best feeling ever and it "only" took me like 37 tries I think...amazing boss, one of the best designs from Fromsoftware I think

Those "Flymen" are legit one of the most disgusting enemies from has ever made
i honestly find DS3 to be a really disgusting game lol, so much of it is just gross, which is saying something considering that's the whole theme of bloodborne

You never really finish a souls game. You just beat a run and start a new one. Even if it's a month later, no one truly is done.
Friede is one of those boss fights where it can be frustrating, yes, but it is absolutely badass 😭 but boss fights where the boss has mobility is 100% going to be difficult lol

Dude, if you use a fire spell or weapon on them icy trees, it stuns em. Basically, they cannot hit you at all
