this is also know as the ryu-effect or reffect if you want. it is like a karma thing where you compliment a level and it punishes you for doing that
As a longtime viewer, Ryu has always been really really good at Mario Maker…. But his skill these days is just unbelievable. For him to beat the 5th level in under 30 lives is insane

Well, I wasn't there when you predicted a midair. I wasn't there when you replayed the level a gazillion times. I wasn't there when you edited the video. But I'm here now watching an edited video of you playing a level that is 130 seconds a bunch of times, not knowing how tight the timer is, and it's increasingly difficult and I'm wondering if those coins really did spell TAS, and I'm pretty certain they do. I love every second of it! Thanks so much for making the impossible possible with perseverance. You're an inspiration!

New soup midairs are definitely harder because there is a smaller frame window to get the shell jump (SMW is 7 frames, new soup is 5 frames)
