Maybe this isn't the setting to say it, but to hear BCs son issues and what he has probably been through as a father I just have the most massive respect for him and for the fact that he always has a cheerful attitude through at least the parts he lets us see. Hope if life tests me like that I can respond in the same way.
@@burlhorse61 I believe (in-part) because they were twins, there were complications (possibly associated with prematurity and/or cerebral palsy), but BC mentions moments early in their lives where one (or both) required extensive medical care for potentially life-threatening medical conditions--not sure, just my recollection from following MK and being able to relate as a father and pediatrician. I love hearing him talk so lovingly about his kids, and you can tell (from BC talking about it in the past) the heavy issues in the beginning changed BC as a parent for the better.
Me too. I had seen BC mention his son’s ailment before but I kinda forgot. BC is just a great dude and I’m sure he’s even a better father. As for the interview, MVP was awesome and he has a new fan.
If you're on the fence about watching this one - it's up there with one of the best RSD episodes to date. MVP is just a stellar dude and it's rare he does these super long-form interviews - dude's legit.
So many fighters speak (or don't speak) so blindly about their losses. In the first 10 mins from the way MVP spoke about the Perry fight even cracking jokes shows he has the self awareness that got him to this stage and hopefully keeps him moving towards the belt. Great stuff from BC and Luke as always!
I came here to say this. They have been building up other RSD interviews like Allen, but there is something refreshing about a candid intelligent fighter speaking freely.
Top tier interview, again. This format is tremendous and I hope it continues for a long ass time. RSD has made me a fan (or more of a fan) of every person that’s sat on the couch.
this guy has been getting so much hate.....mainly cause of the so-called tomato cans he has fought, i truly believe it isn't his choice and he showed and proved he has real heart after he got knocked out by douglas lima, cause he asked for the rematch, he got it and he won, you got to respect that, at least , i did
Probably got too caught up in the drama between him and Daily back in the day, hence paid little attention to him outside the cage. Seems like a cool dude. Nice of him to give a nod to his Lau Gar roots. Lau Gar was where it was at in the early eighties with standouts like: - Alfie "The Animal" Lewis (Tony Bellews old coach) - Kevin "The Jedi" Brewerton Gotta like his film choices. You cant go wrong with the classics. For me 1. The 36th Chamber of Shaolin 2. Fatal Claws, Deadly Kicks Wish him every success.
There have only been a couple of guests on Room Service Diaries that I was excited about but I've watched every episode and truly enjoy them all. These two donks balance each other out, create great rapport with the guests and making magic with their mma menage et tois.
"First minute of the fight, I'm attaching strings to the opponent"... Utterly Fascinating stuff, to be quite candid I feel like you guys should get paid for promotional services rendered for RSD, because these interviews do a MUCH better job at making me care about the fighters you feature than the main promotional stuff does JRE fight talks are alright, but Joe's way too big at this point unfortunately to get convos with fighters that are this casual and authentic feeling
Want to hear something funny though? When the nfl started they did. When the mlb started they did. Baseball players used to make more money in the off season than they did in the league. Just something to think about. You don't get to ride on their backs. It's a new league, build it, earn it.
@@AdamWatt00 Alright? And boxes made no money and fought 100 times a year when boxing was a new sport. The sport is 30 years old and you don't get to ride off the backs of other sports. Also MVP compared NFL to the mma bozo, go look at the title of the video, not me.
Just to go against the current here, fighters have to stop comparing themselves to football players or other pro sports. NFL players play 17 games in 18 weeks. MLB players play 162 games in 6 months. Fighters figbt maybe twice a year. You can talk about the dangers of fighters training and all that but its 2023, we've known fight organizations treat fighters poorly for a long time now and they still sign the contracts and make it life long goal to join. They gotta stop complaining in interviews and actually do something about it.
I love when the guys do interviews with known fighters who don't fight for the UFC. Really enjoyed this but how could you not ask him to breakdown a fight between him and Wonderboy?

There's a few great ones. Chiesa, Demetrius Johnson, Sean Brady, Sanko, Arnold Allen, Anthony Smith.. Lots of good episodes it's hard to compare.
I forgot about this. Might as well watch this again.

Love this from MK and MVP. First time I've heard MVP talk in an extended interview - even more of a fan than I previously was.
2% black 98% heart killed me
Haha gold
Wish more people got behind this guy. Super exciting fighter and down to earth outside the cage. He's a showman through and through
After hearing this interview, I can admit that I had the wrong opinion on MVP. He seems like a really down to earth guy. New fan over here.
Great RSD! MVP is very intelligent and an interesting guy. Came across as very genuine and likable here.

Awesome! MVP has been a good guy for the sport
M.V.P seems like a very reasonable and intelligent guy. This was a great interview
Really changed my mind about MVP after listening to this interview and will be rooting for him from now on!
MVP is intelligent and insightful. Loved this interview.

Great interview.
Seeing MVP be so candid and mature, when talking about his journey, only makes me more of a fan.
Amazing interview. Nice work.
Good stuff BC! Im dying over here, that joke you cracked about the Paul Daley fight being like an adult film with only dialogue.
Such a genuine humble fight. And shout out to the MK crew. RSD’s are without a doubt the gem of this channel
Fascinating discussion! You guys have a great chemistry. Would love to hear you guys chop it up again
Tons of new found respect for MVP. Tells it how it really went. Loved it
Mike Perry needs an RSD
Great interview. Really enjoyed it. MVP is the man!
This dude is articulate AF. Great speaker.
I love this format how you guys interview the fighters this is such a great interview. There's no way you guys don't have rocky lined up🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
BC has a beautiful heart, thank you for you infectious energy and hope things get easier❤️
Interesting convos. Fun dynamic as always, LT & BC.
love these interviews.
This was one of the best RSDs. He is intelligent, witty and seemingly very open and candid. Eloquent speaker.
this is such a great conversation to listen to
These type of interviews create fans for these fighters. Thanks DONKS
Mike Perry is the opposite of Dillon Danis. Super real.
He is soooo much more down to earth than you’d expect!
The studio looks great!!!

Still? I remember see it much more back in the day... not so much anymore
Don’t worry about other peoples opinion
He chose to fight in the b-league.
“So called”? No, those are legit tomato cans. That five times a year claim he made, was against guys who had a combined record of 18-32 (32 losses)
@@YourGFsFavoriteBF take on a tomato can then Kenny hahahahah
I wish he would go the ufc. The talent is high with this man
These are pure gold
My new favorite RSD
This is a great one
fantastic episode!!
MVP is super likable when not being overly cocky in the cage. This interview is just more proof.
Great interview - MVP understands all aspects of combat sports to a very impressive degree. Dude gets it.
MVP is the guy. Too bad we never get him v Wonderboy.
There’s still time, maybe in some retirement boxing match
Imagine a mma fight between mvp and wonderboy.
Damn.
excellent video

MVP a cool ass dude. Nice job boys
would be fun to compare nfl ratings to ufc and bellator ratings
38:43 only dialogue

Luke wasn’t sure how to pronounce Adesanya’s name? How old is this vid?
