I tried 4 different rivet guns and not one of them had jaws strong enough to grip the harder steel the points are made of. No clue how yours worked so easily.
I don’t think I could bring myself to start hitting my darts with the hammer lol , must be a better way to get the points in without the use of the hammer , the way you took them out was fab but I think I’d rather spend the £35 and get the repointing tool , lovely darts you had tho mate 👍🏼
Yes bro.. much better if we install the points in correct tools.. some here in ph. Were looking other option to install it.. some of us dont enough money to buy repointing tools thats why.. sorry about that bro.. btw thanks
@@itsmeremember1435 : nah don’t worry about that mate you don’t have to apologise you gotta do what you gotta do with what you can afford 😃 it’s good that you can find other ways but imagine breaking afew of ur points ? It would then cost just as much as the £30 for the repoint tool , and if you have afew friends who also play darts you could split the cost and share the item so you’d could all use it when necessary 👍🏼 still impressive how you’ve came up with a solution when u don’t have the right tools we’ve all done it in life lol
The instructions will confuse people outside of the Philippines. The things you repointed are called darts, not dart pins. I also would not recommend using a rivet tool if you intend to reuse the old dart points as rivet tools leave bite marks on the points. You also mentioned "check the hole on your pin". Remember, other parts of the world would think of pins as the points. The holes are on the barrels, not the pins. It would be best NEVER to call darts, dart pins.
How to change points without repointing tools: first step use a point removal tool (also known as a repointing tool). Step 2, bash the living shit out of you brand new point with a hammer. Just buy a repointing tool.
I would rather try installing the tip by heating the barrel up with a heat gun and cooling the tip down as much as possible with ice or in a feezer. Any thoughts on this?
It's better if you use an old aluminum shaft, cut it then screw it in so your barrel won't have dents on the inside.
Touche.
Cheaper then any repointing tools , thank you so much !
Hmm I wonder if you could push the tips in with a vice and something soft like a 2x4 to prevent tip damage.

That was really nice. Some of my more expensive darts, using the regular tool was almost impossible. Time to visit a friend with a garage 😃
Great video and concept, but i would use a hide or plastic hammer to strike your barrel into your new points.
Hello, there.
Is the robson messina im using now can be replace? Any recommendations for the nice point?

Rubber mallet then you don’t need a nail either
Or use the same rivet tool as a clamp to hold the new points, and hammer the backside.
This. This is a great idea. Thanks!
How to upvote 5x tho.
Hi, good job! What model of darts and tips in this video?
Barrel : The Monster Cobra II
Point : Harros Apex Point

Thank you
You said without tools??
Imagine repointing a reflex point
Thank you

Rivet tools
dude use a rubber mallet no need for a nail.
Lol yeah good way to deform a barrel and dull the tip of a new point
Music soooo annoying
Amazing,,,wow,,,😮😮😮
Yeah great hammer the darts, because that's a good idea, just but the right tool for the job, then u won't screw up the new points, what a plonker,
I guess I shall buy a rivet gun instead of a pointing tool lol
Ok Rodney
