- Bandera, TX MTB - Mountain Lion Sighting - Cedar Loop/Pasture Loop/Prairie Loop/Bar-O/Spring Branch
The GoPro footage might not make it clear, but in person, this large cat appeared clear as day as I rounded the corner on my bike and the cat darted from the trail into the woods. It was certainly not a deer nor a bobcat. I'd already had a gut feeling that there would be some wildlife out on these secluded trails...In the last week I've now seen up-close feral hogs, painted buntings, and this wildcat.
That actually happened to my party out there back in the late 90's. I was in the lead going downhill. We all saw the mountain lion, came to a complete stop, did an about face, and headed back up the hill. Only I was now at the back of the pack. By the time we reached the top of the hill, I was back at the lead of the pack. ha ha.
@@George-Kliavkoff4Big12 Haha, cool!
I've ridden out there a couple of time and never even thought about mountain lions 😮
@@Robert_512 Same here. This was the first one I’ve ever seen in the wild.
Im sure they see people without their knowledge 😮
@@ForkNLeans I’ve often suspected this.
I didn't see a mountain lion 😮
@@ForkNLeans Yeah it’s not a good view here. I uploaded a second video slowed down and zoomed, much clearer. I realized I should have just done that in the first place 😆
Where the hell is the mountain lion?!!
@@takozamtbtrailscout7106 It’s in the beginning, but admittedly it’s a bad capture of it due to an editing oversight. The cat was visible on my monitor while editing my GoPro clips; I was able to go through it frame by frame. But the end result did not show it well here. So I uploaded a follow-up clip, a slow-mo of just the mountain lion darting from left to right across the trail.
Looks like Africa im surprised they're weren't real lions 😅
@@ForkNLeans Haha, it’s what I imagine a lot of Africa to look/feel like!
