Sure, this one works well for flat and spin. It really just comes down to feel. Maria used a 100 head, 16x19 pattern most of her career, Kvitova uses a 95 head 16x20 pattern, and Delpo uses a 95 head, 18x20 pattern. Typically if you are big hitter, with a flat stroke, a tighter string pattern can help, like an 18x20, but isn't necessary. Hi, what is the difference between RPM Blast 16, 17 or even 18? I'm getting a "HEAD SPEED MP GRAPHENE 360 TENNIS RACKET" What Polyester you recommand? Really looking for power without compromising the control.
The difference is the gauge or the thickness of the string. 16 is the thickest of the three, and it comes in a 15L which is even thicker. The thicker the string, the more durability, and control it will offer. The 18 is the thinnest of the three, and the thinner the string the more power, feel, and spin you will get out of it. We often go with the 1.25mm gauge, which for Babolat is labeled as 17, but then again it is a matter of preference. @Filip Kos, The VCORE Pro 100 has the most control, and the EZONE 100 has the most power. The 360 Speed MP would be somewhat in the middle of the two, for power/control. Same racquet, just an all black cosmetic that was sent to playtest. We have the limited version available for sale, which is a mostly black cosmetic, and looks really good. www.tennis-warehouse.com/Head_Speed_X_Limited_Edition_MP/descpageRCHEAD-HSPXMP.html. Troy, TW
Hi. I would like to buy a racket from you. I'm choosing between pure strike 100 and head graphene speed 360 MP. But I'm torn between the grip shapes, does the grip shape of the babolat is rounder than the speed?or vice versa?
Grip shapes are pretty similar between the two, both relatively round or symmetrical, rather than a rectangular shape. The Strike 100 offers a bit more of a stiffer feel, whereas the Speed MP is a bit more comfortable. Both offer a good balance of power, control, and spin. I have a slight preference for the Head Speed, but both are great options, and it just comes down to personal preference. Troy, TW
Hi TW. I’m having some issue deciding on a racket and wondering if you guys could help. I play for my university and am an attacking player that likes to go for winners ASAP, particularly with my forehand. I have relatively flat strokes and an eastern grip. My games revolves around the one two punch of my serve and then forehand. I currently use the RF97 with X1 mains and ALU soft crosses at 49/46lbs. I have experienced really bad tendon problems and have developed tendinosis. It is also very hard to consistently keep up the racket head speed and therefore end up hitting long or into the net quite often, and while I try and swing the racket at a decent speed, I feel I lose a lot of control as well. I am going to be switching to a full bed of X1 Biphase at about 55lbs, but also want to switch to a softer and lighter frame. I am debating between this 360 speed MP, the Gravity MP, and the VCORE pro 97 310. Which of the three do you think would work best? Cheers
I could see the issue you are having, as the RF97 is heavy, and fairly stiff. I would think that the VCORE Pro 97 310 would be the easiest transition, as you have the control/precision of the RF97, but with a slightly softer feel, and much easier maneuverability. From there the the Gravity MP offers a bit more control, and comfort than the Speed MP, where the Speed MP will provide the easiest access to power of the three. None of these racquets are too stiff, which is a good thing, also with that much drop in weight, you could likely add a bit more weight tape to the racquet if you think it needs it, without sacrificing too much for maneuverability. A couple of others that I might consider are the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v7, and Dunlop CX 200 Tour 16x19. Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse thanks Troy So the VCORE Pro is the most control orientated? Or would that be the Gravity? I also used to use a pro staff 95 2014, and found that although the control was really good, it lacked a lot of power and plow. And also recently demoed the gravity pro and the ultra tour and preferred the gravity as I found it had more feel. Does that mean anything in terms of which you think I’d prefer? And does the fact I am planning on going full multi change your recommendation as well? Sorry I know it’s a bit confusing but with demoing being difficult nowadays with the virus, this is my best bet
@@TheFoji8, The Gravity MP offers a bit more power than the VCORE Pro 97 310, but the Gravity Tour would be pretty close to the VCORE Pro 97 310 in terms of control. We preferred the Gravity Tour, and Pro more than the MP, that is if you don't mind the 18x20 pattern. The Pro Staff 95 had superb feel, but very low power, I think the VCORE Pro 97 310 will give you some of that control, but with some added pop. It is tough to decide without a demo, as we really enjoyed the VCORE Pro 97 310, Gravity Pro, and Tour, as well as the Blade 98 v7. Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse ah ok. The reason I didn’t pick the tour is because of the heavier swingweight. I’m wanting to stay around the 317/318g mark. Seems like the gravity mp is also above that so may have to give it a miss. And same for the blade. Let’s say if I were to string the pro 97 at like 53lbs X1 Biphase full bed, and then the speed mp at about 55lbs of the x1, how would they compare in terms of comfort, power and control?
@@TheFoji8- I see, did not know you were looking for that swingweight. The VCORE Pro 97 310 will offer more control, precision, and bi more comfort. The Speed MP will provide easier power, and feels a bit more firm, but comfort should still be good. If you are looking for easier power compared to the RF97, then the Speed MP might actually be a better choice, just note there will be a bit less precision, and feel. Troy, TW
Hello TW! I currently play with a Prince Textreme Tour 100p with a L3 grip size. I am interested in buying an older model of Speed mp (youtek graphene), but i can only find it in a L4. Should I buy it? Is the difference of the size that big? Thanks
It will likely feel slightly bigger, but from my experience with the Speed grip/pallet it should be a relatively easy transition. You could also consider changing the grip on it as well, with something like Prince ResiThin, or Wilson FeatherThin replacement grips, and pull it tightly as you wrap it, and that should make it feel a bit smaller. Troy, TW
Hi TW, im currently using Head Speed Graphene Touch MP and looking for my second weapon. Is this 360 Mp version worth for me to upgrade with of should i try 360 pro version? Im intermediate player with baseline playing style, rarely come to the net. Look fwd for your opinion. Thanks
The 360 Speed MP, plays with a bit firmer feel, and provides a bit easier access to power compared to the Touch Speed MP. The Pro version is a bit heavier which helps with some added stability, and has an 18x20 pattern which gives a bit more control, but not quite as much spin compared to the MP version. Troy, TW
Hi between the xt , touch or 360 version, what is more close of the youtek ig version or youtek graphene version? I want more control than my exo3 tour 100 and a thinner beam and softer feel pls help me
@Adriano Jese, Of the three generations, the Graphene Touch has the softest, and most flexible feel. I would also consider the Head MicroGEL Radical Midplus, as a good option for a soft feel, and lots of control. Troy, TW
Hi, i have the speed mpa graphenext , i want to change the racquet , wich one is better , graphenetouch or 360? I play from baseline and my backhand is not so good so i use a lot of slice
@Geronimo Abachian, We enjoyed the Graphene 360 update, as it provides a bit more power, and spin potential. The Graphene Touch will be a bit more dampened, and comfortable. Troy, TW
Hello I have bought this racket, and find that I have trouble generating power. I tried an oversize frame and find that it's very stable and allows me to hit more penetrating shots even though it's harder to control. Can you suggest a racket for me to switch to that can give me easier access to power to hit more penetrating shots? (not sure if the larger head size or the lighter frame that gave me more access to power)
You would likely find it easier to generate power with the Babolat Pure Drive, or Head Graphene 360 Extreme Pro. I might also consider racquets like the Babolat Pure Drive Plus, or Yonex EZONE 100+, as the extended length with help you too generate easy power. Troy, TW
I don't think it will work as well, with the lighter weight and smaller headsize. The lighter weight works better with larger headsizes for more power. Troy, TW
Hey TW...I want to ask a question about new Head Speed 360'. Is it come with much differences from the previous model speed touch mp? Im thinking to change my racquet from speed graphene pro (quite heavy and stiff for me) to Mp version. But still dont know either to go with touch version or 360' version. Im an intermediate player baseliner...Thanks for your help.
@Mohd Hafiz Zulhelmi, We enjoyed the Graphene 360 update to the Speed MP. It provides a bit more power and spin compared to the Graphene Touch version. That being said, the Graphene Touch Speed MP has a slightly more comfortable feel. Troy, TW
@Sam Walker, Power levels are pretty close. This 360 Speed MP is a bit more flexible, which helps with comfort. The Pure Strike 98 16x19 has a bit better precision, from the 98 sq. inch head, and has a bit firmer feel on contact. Troy, TW
@shime, This one packs more power, is more spin friendly, and maneuvers a bit easier than the Touch Radical MP. That said, it does not have as much power, and spin, as the 360 Extreme MP, it is somewhat in between those two. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse I couldn't stand the colour of the Extreme sadly, what would you say the main differences with the Speed MP and the Speed Pro are? I am currently using the Head Radical MP from 2014 and have been using it since 2014 however I want something that will give me a little extra edge to my game without too much of a drastic change.
@@Shime, The Speed Pro has more control (18x20 string pattern), and is a bit more stable on contact. @@tenniswarehouse Thanks, these are pretty much the few racquets I've narrowed my options down to after some research. I've also been hearing lots about the Yonex racquets recently however I don't know much about them.
@@Shime, Yonex has some really good performing racquets. The Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310) will add some control, and feel, compared to your Radical MP. The Yonex EZONE 98 (305), and Yonex VCORE 98 (305) would be some options that you may like as well. There are a lot of good racquets on the market right now, and which one you choose, is likely going to come down to a preference in feel, which is kind of a subjective thing. Troy, TW
@Elsio Paiva, This Graphene 360 Speed MP is a bit more maneuverable, packs a bit more power, and we found a more responsive level of feedback. The Graphene Touch Radical MP has a bit more control, more stability stability on contact, and more dampened/muted response. Troy, TW
Technology wise, the 360+ is a n extension of the graphene 360. So 360 placed Graphene in the throat of the racquet, as well as 3,9,and 12 o'clock of the hoop. Graphene 360+ takes that and adds SpiralFibers in the racquet's lower head. This not only helps the racquet flex more optimally at impact, but it creates a softer, and more responsive feel at impact. Performance wise, for this particular Speed MP we found some added feel, and also a bit more stability, as the 360+ Speed MP has a bit higher swingweight. Troy, TW
@RpM Lukeo343, The Blade 98 16x19, Prince Textreme Tour 100P and the Head Radical Pro would all be good alternatives to check out as well! Michelle, TW
A bit more power, and spin from this one, the Touch Speed MP is a bit softer, and slightly more muted. We have a slight preference for this update, but both are great options. Troy, TW
@Paul Green, Actually, it is a blacked out version of the racquet. Head sent all black versions before the racquet was launched as promotional items. Also, sometimes we receive all black versions of racquets before they are launched so the cosmetic is not leaked before it is launched to the public. So while it doesn't look like the 360 Speed MP, it is! :) Sorry about any confusion! Michelle, TW
@Hisham Mangadang, The VCORE 98 is a bit more stable on contact, and provides a bit more control, and precision. This 360 Speed MP is a bit more maneuverable, and packs a bit more power. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Last question, which one is better? I use Pure aero 2017 (i feel like feel is tad missing) and I am going to buy a new racket and I don't whether Head speed mp or Yonex Vcore 98. Sorry for saying a lot

Your testing cannot be taken for serious anymore. Why is none of the typical Testers (Jason, Chris,...) testing a market relevant offering like this. Also the bad ratings for Head cannot be serious. Are you not happy with what Head is offering to you. Any other serious Tennis testing has always rated Head racquets very much at the top. I have some concerns here. Sorry guys. For everything else you are doing a great job.
@Stefan Hillbrand, I'm sorry you aren't happy with this review, however I'm wondering if you watched a different one than this one as it was definitely a positive one and we have absolutely no problems with HEAD racquets (have you watched the Extreme reviews?!). There are even players on this playtest who use HEAD racquets as their racquet of choice or have called HEAD their racquet of choice previously. As far as "typical" testers -- Tiffani has been testing racquets with TW for well over 10 years and Sean is a consistent tester for us as well. As far as our international testers, Zeljko has been testing racquets for TWE for 5 years or so now, and Marco playtested at TW years ago and is now a consistent playtester for us at Tennis Only -- you will be seeing a lot more of them testing as we continue to grow globally. As always, playtesting is really all subjective and we do hope these reviews help, but ideally they are to help you guys decide if you want to demo the racquet to see if it would be a good fit for your game. When you tested it on the clay court i saw you didnt have the white color near the grip of the racket. Is it a different version of the racket?if so what is the name of it?
Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse thanks Troy
So the VCORE Pro is the most control orientated?
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Ok, so I am gonna grab it! Thank you very much Troy..!
Troy, TW
Which racquet has more precision? Head Graphene 360 Speed mp or the Head Graphene Touch Speed mp?
Precision is pretty similar between the two, but the Touch Speed MP is a bit more flexible, which makes it feel a bit lower in power. Troy, TW
Hi between the xt , touch or 360 version, what is more close of the youtek ig version or youtek graphene version? I want more control than my exo3 tour 100 and a thinner beam and softer feel pls help me
@Adriano Jese,
Of the three generations, the Graphene Touch has the softest, and most flexible feel. I would also consider the Head MicroGEL Radical Midplus, as a good option for a soft feel, and lots of control.
Troy, TW
Guyssss, like it with the added matrix system and unstrung spec! What took u so long?
Hi, i have the speed mpa graphenext , i want to change the racquet , wich one is better , graphenetouch or 360? I play from baseline and my backhand is not so good so i use a lot of slice
@Geronimo Abachian,
We enjoyed the Graphene 360 update, as it provides a bit more power, and spin potential. The Graphene Touch will be a bit more dampened, and comfortable.
Troy, TW
Marco, what strings do you use in your blade CV 16x19 and what tension?
@Senator Seth,
His top three favorites are Solinco Revolution, Luxilon ALU Power, and Tecnifibre Black Code.
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse
do you think getting a 280g racket (lite versions) will be a good idea? as light as oversize frames?
I don't think it will work as well, with the lighter weight and smaller headsize. The lighter weight works better with larger headsizes for more power. Troy, TW
Btw... What is a good tension for a kevlar/zx hybrid (i currently use hyperg at 54/51)
@Kim Quon,
The kevlar can feel stiff. I would go with 52 on the kevlar, 54 with the zx.
@Mohd Hafiz Zulhelmi,
We enjoyed the Graphene 360 update to the Speed MP. It provides a bit more power and spin compared to the Graphene Touch version. That being said, the Graphene Touch Speed MP has a slightly more comfortable feel.
Troy, TW
How does this racquet compare to the Babolat Pure Strike 16X19?
@Sam Walker,
Power levels are pretty close. This 360 Speed MP is a bit more flexible, which helps with comfort. The Pure Strike 98 16x19 has a bit better precision, from the 98 sq. inch head, and has a bit firmer feel on contact.
Troy, TW
How do you compare this to the Head Graphene Touch Radical MP
@shime,
This one packs more power, is more spin friendly, and maneuvers a bit easier than the Touch Radical MP.
@@Shime,
The Speed Pro has more control (18x20 string pattern), and is a bit more stable on contact. I think the 360 Speed racquets could be a good option for you, and it would be ideal if you could demo the MP, and Pro side by side. You may also want to try the newest version of the Radical MP, or Pro, as well.
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks, these are pretty much the few racquets I've narrowed my options down to after some research. I've also been hearing lots about the Yonex racquets recently however I don't know much about them.
@@Shime,
Yonex has some really good performing racquets.
Troy, TW
When is the TW Review racquet scores coming out for the pro?
@Nathan Lifska,
Hopefully in about a week or so, the written review is still in the editing process.
Troy, TW
2:45 Terminator mode. Gotta get him off the net.
Would you guys have any old/used demos for sale with this model?
Unfortunately not. We are not allowed to sell Head racquets as used, unless they are a few generations past. Troy, TW
Hi TW team. How does this racket compare with the Radical MP?
@Elsio Paiva,
This Graphene 360 Speed MP is a bit more maneuverable, packs a bit more power, and we found a more responsive level of feedback. The Graphene Touch Radical MP has a bit more control, more stability stability on contact, and more dampened/muted response.
Troy, TW
What is the difference b/w speed 360 and 360+
Technology wise, the 360+ is a n extension of the graphene 360. Troy, TW
What is the best alternatives to the pure strike 98 16x19
@RpM Lukeo343,
The Blade 98 16x19, Prince Textreme Tour 100P and the Head Radical Pro would all be good alternatives to check out as well!
Michelle, TW
Is this one better than the older touch speed mp ?
A bit more power, and spin from this one, the Touch Speed MP is a bit softer, and slightly more muted. We have a slight preference for this update, but both are great options. Troy, TW
Germany did not Test the 360 Speed mp... the color sheme was not right. The racket was all Black. Or am i wrong
@Paul Green,
Actually, it is a blacked out version of the racquet.
Aww I miss Marco
Hello TW, how does this compare with Yonex Vcore 98? Thank you
@Hisham Mangadang,
The VCORE 98 is a bit more stable on contact, and provides a bit more control, and precision.
@Hisham Mangadang,
They are both really nice playing racquets, and it would be best if you could demo both before making the final decision. That said, if you are searching for a bit more feel, we really liked the VCORE 98. It offers a bit more stability, while still possessing easy access to power, and spin. Troy, TW

How does this compare to the prince Textreme Tour 100p in terms of power? @tenniswharehouse
@Ducktagee,
The power level is pretty close between the two. The Textreme Tour 100P may be just a bit more powerful due to the slightly higher avg. swingweight.

Are there any fake head speeds? And if so how do you spot a fake?
Not sure on that, we haven't seen any, but you never know. Troy. TW
@Stefan Hillbrand,
I'm sorry you aren't happy with this review, however I'm wondering if you watched a different one than this one as it was definitely a positive one and we have absolutely no problems with HEAD racquets (have you watched the Extreme reviews?!).
Happy hitting!
Michelle, TW
@@tenniswarehouse In your "best list" of Racquets with the "Overall Rating", how many Head Racquets are there in the Top 15? Can't be too many according to my Impression. This is what cocerns me a bit. But maybe my Impression is wrong.
@@vantheman28 Head racquets defiantly fell out of favour with the TW crew during the Graphene XT and more so Touch iterations. Your right in that every review of those tended to be negative, as if there were some sort of pre perceived bias judgment. Now to TW credit and to Head also, the 360 models have been much more well received and are generally being positively reviewed. Head seems to be back on track in creating more user friendly racquets, moving away from the awkward swinging overly polarised XT and overly muted touch products.
