Ex-Israeli PM: 'Netanyahu is lying, don't listen to him' | LBC Exclusive

- In an exclusive interview with LBC, the former Israeli Prime Minister has said that 20 deaths is "not a disaster" after 21 people - including two children - were killed in two waves of blasts across Lebanon.
Yesterday, exploding pagers killed 12 with a further nine killed by exploding walkie-talkies today.
Almost 3,000 were taken to hospital with at least 300 injured today.
Speaking to LBC's Andrew Marr on Wednesday, Ehud Barak said: "Even if some innocent people were killed, that's a pity.
"But unfortunately out of 5000 explosions, about 20 people killed. It's probably painful but that's not a disaster."
Mr Barak also did not admit Israeli culpability for the blasts.
"Israel never took responsibility for this event, I can't add to this," he said.
He also added that the country doesn't have "any interest" in a full scale war with Hezbollah.
"I think that a lot of consideration about how to respond to Israel - Israel doesn't have any interest in a full scale war with Hezbollah.
"Neither side wants that... but there has been a continuation of.. direct fire into our cities and towns along the border for 10 months.
"As long as this does not stop...there will be an operation to put an end to it."

The attack is against Hezbollah terrorists not Lebanese. There is a difference. And the Lebanese allow Hezbollah refuge in their country. And finally Hezbollah started attacking Israel not the reverse. So go ahead and focus on Hezbollah defending itself because it’s a joke. They are the aggressor as is Iran as Hezbollah is Iran.

Just so that you and others are aware, in the last year... the Israeli Government and officials have said "yes" to all (but one) Ceasefire proposals.... the rest have been turned away and turned down by Hamas. The only one that Israel said "no" to was one where the Hostages weren't even mentioned.
** Hostages that are representative of 23 countries - it is a shame that I don't hear all 23 calling for their own people to be freed.... unconditionally. The world seems pretty quiet about them right now.
Also, over the years.... Israel has been more than willing to try to make Peace.... It was even in Camp David, with Ehud Barak, where everything including East Jerusalem was on the table, and Arafat said "No".
If Israel didn't want peace, we wouldn't have had the Abraham Accords (which has just had its 4th Anniversary).
It is Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and all of the other Iranian Government proxies that are stopping Peace > Please feel free and look into everything before making a further comment.

Last year this time Israel was doing some awful things in Palestine and the Palestinian were resisting as best as they could. Netanyahu's government was on the brink of collapse. In October Hamas launched a murderous attack into Israel, killing 1,400 innocent people in Israel and took hundreds of hostages some of whom they have subsequently murdered. Hezbollah joined the attack by firing hundreds of rockets into Israel. Most of which have been intercepted by Israeli defences. Israel responded by destroying Gaza while killing Hamas and innocent civilians. Over 40,000 and injuring many more and displacing hundreds of thousands. The Pager and walkie talkie devices attacks, assuming that it was Israel, came as a direct result of Hezbollah's firing rockets into Israel. The death and destruction in Gaza would not have happened if Hamas did not attack Israel.
