I have used finasteride 5 years back, yes it has nice effects on my hair, but considerable side effects as well, so stop both minoxidil and finasteride, now I'm half bald unfortunately. Probably bcz first using minoxidil then stopping it, guys these medication should not be used in hurry or in excitement, you need to 100%sure for longer use.

Sir I just had hair transplant on front area and my doctor suggested finasteride 1mg per day for crown area existing hairs . I have two questions -
1. If by chance I see the side effects in future ,are the side effects reversible 100% for sure ?
2. After how many days will I see the visible effect of finasteride on crown
It’ll take around 4 to 6 months to see crown filling and by an year it’ll fill up!
As soon as you stop consuming Finasteride your side effects will stop, but always consult before starting or stopping of any drug.

Informative video Sir. Finasteride just delays the baldness and does not cure it so its just a precautionary medicine. Its a life long treatment if anyone wants his hair in their 30s-40s . Temporarily, it will arrest hair fall but generally people don't want to spend 10k/ yr cost on Minoxidil & Finasteride. So in a year or two they left the treatment ,causing reverse of hair gained and waste of time and money and ultimately becomes complete bald.
