But no, rather than just laying down his weapons and saving his squad the trouble, he thought that it was better that they all just be considered Mavericks and hunted down.
I think Repliforce was planning on staging a coup anyways thanks to Sigma, and then to get them to act on it, he got Dragoon to destroy the city. General didn't just kill Sigma on sight and actually sat down to have a talk with him at the beginning, so he's clearly corrupt on top of Colonel being an idiot.
I thought as well as to why Colonel made that rash decision in the first place. However, after seeing the lore again and other places that made this discussion, there was a reason why Colonel did that. So after the events of MMX3, with the whole Doppler Town incident as well as where they thought an actual Maverick Virus vaccine existed, humans trust on Reploids and even the Maverick Hunters went down. As a result, the human population is becoming weary of which Reploid will become a Maverick. So how would they resolve this and make up the whole Doppler Town's failure? Dr. Cain created Repliforce as a way to both assist the Maverick Hunters to help reduce Maverick activity quicker, R&D stuff, improve Reploid efficiency even more, and to regain the trust of the human population to Reploid. At first, it was going well between the Maverick Hunters and Repliforce. The one who's most connected and has good ties with Repliforce was Zero with Iris and her older brother, and later on became good friends with Zero, Colonel. Iris was a navigator, represented by Repliforce, to help X and Zero out during the Erasure Incident (Megaman Xtreme 2) and their mission went successfully. And of course, either before or during when Iris joined the Hunters, both her and Zero were in a relationship. Everything did seem to go well between the Hunters and Repliforce, but not that long. Especially with humans' trust on Reploids. Why is that? As mentioned before, Repliforce was to assist the Hunters to quickly coordinate and reduce as much Maverick activities as possible. However, the number of Maverick activities had risen because of the involvement of Repliforce and as a result, the humans' trust onto Reploids went down even lower. And it seems the blame is going more towards Repliforce because they were the ones that are supposed to help reduce Maverick activity and now that it skyrocketed, they're going against them for mishandling this. Some even speculated that they were becoming Maverick which is why this happened. Now in terms of the increased Maverick activities, it's still unknown as to why this happened whether if Sigma was involved in some way and/or some members in Repliforce became Maverick or might not have been properly helping the Hunters that effectively in some way. So what and how did the Hunters and Repliforce respond to all of this? The Hunters are now in deep pressure from both the human government and the leader of the Hunters (not Signas, but someone else before him) for not only in reducing Maverick activities, but to keep a close eye on Repliforce as well because almost everyone is beginning to speculate that they are becoming Mavericks. For Repliforce, all of them are now becoming more discomfort with how humans are discriminating against them. The General, Colonel, and even Iris were starting to dislike the humans and how they are being treated by them as well as to other Reploids now. Iris is still working with the Hunters and still in a relationship with Zero. However, the friendship between Zero and the Colonel has started to strain. And this goes with the same between the relationship between the Hunters and Repliforce. Now with all of these mistrust and strained relationship, who goes out of the way to take advantage of all of this for their own agenda? Sigma of course. With the General feeling weary of his trust in the humans, Sigma used this advantage to manipulate him to go against both the humans and the Hunters. Of course, the General refused and Sigma had to push his weariness even lower by orchestrating an incident. This would be the Sky Lagoon incident. Sigma manipulated Magma Dragoon to destroy the city's generator in order to fight X and Zero later on and use his Mechaniloid, Eregion, to attack the city. The Hunters came there first and then, later on, Repliforce came after the city was destroyed. Plus Iris was there and was injured until she was rescued by Zero. After X and Zero destroyed Eregion, the timing of Repliforce came at a bad time after the city was destroyed made it look like Repliforce were the ones responsible for it as according to Sigma's plan. With no choice, X and Zero had to request the Colonel to come to Hunter HQ disarmed. The Hunters had to do this because with the humans' trust onto Reploids went down abysmally and with the high pressure from them to keep their trust up, as well as pressures from the orders of the Hunters' leader and from the government, they have no choice but to do this. Plus with the mistrust in Repliforce as well. With all of this, and as part of Sigma's plan, the Colonel refused and of course, this led into the Great Repliforce War between the Hunters and Repliforce that ended badly. Both sides had many casualties. The Hunter's leader felt ashamed as to what transpired as well as his rash decision that he resigned and passed the leadership of the Hunters to Signas. Most importantly, it impacted Zero the most for losing Iris, Colonel, and everyone else he was good with some of the members from Repliforce. So with all of these, this makes sense as to why the Colonel, and even the General and the rest of Repliforce, felt the way they did throughout MMX4 as well as after the Sky Lagoon incident because everyone (the humans and the Hunters and possibly some Reploids) were against Repliforce and did not trust them. And that mistrust pushed Repliforce to wit's end to do what they did which overall let to a tragic end for everybody.
If it was more blood than just this part, this game would of possibly got an M Rating. It doesn't surpass the kind of Blood and Gore Resident Evil got.
Man this game was my jam back in the day. I still think it's the best entry. Both the story line and music are intense, emotional and moving. The Maverick select screen music is so on point. Holy crap.

Al robot no le pasa nada al avanzar entre la lava asi que en lugar de abandonarlo rompes las rocas que estan por debajo. Puedes avanzar y llegar directamente con magma dragón y usarlo en la batalla. Zero reminds me of Vegeta because "Most" of the time they lose like at the end of MMX 1 zero's body was half gone. MMX2 x defeats him (even though zero is better) and MMX3 zero got bitched out again (I forgot how) and Let's not forget that zero died in MMZ 4 but at least x died before him in MMZ 3 but zero is still the best character in megaman universe my opinion

Zero was originally supposed to be the main character instead of X but they decided to push it back since Zero was such a big change and after the X series they made the Zero series
However, Wily placed a powerful virus into Zero's system to control his free will. It was during the fight that Sigma actually had somehow contracted this virus from Zero, because unlike X and only being a prototype Sigma didn't have entirely free will. He had fail safes in his system that allowed it to control him. Being one of the first reploids whose design was the base for every other reploid, the Sigma Virus began to spread. So in a way, yeah this is all Zero's fault.
Then Legacy Collection happened. And with that the Double Battles happened. And with that.. well.. the above comment becomes much more funny in hindsight.
This game takes me back the time I was in middle school.Because I have already beaten mega man x 1 2 and 3 but during my middle school days I watched mega man x4 and tool assisted speedrun for the first time which became my favorite video to watch on youtube. But watching and experience the real of mega man games the classic series,X series,zero series,battle network series and many more from the mega man universe.But anyway near the end of my middle school days my brother give me a gift of mega man x collection that has all six mega man x games along with a [japanese only release but now became available as part of mega man x collection compilation set but hidden as a unlockable game].But anyway mega man x4 was my favorite video game because I played this game alot both middle school and high school and was able to beat mega man x4 although like the ZX series you can only play one character at a time and both characters have there own endings but back to what I was saying the character I played with zero alot though out my own gameplay in mega man x4 was zero because of his saber for hacking and slashing enemies and bosses and etc while my older brother was playing with X alot though his own gameplay in mega man x4 and both of us was able to beat the game with the ending.The first time I was facing the last boss of sigma it was hard at first but I later test sigma's move by finding a way to beat him.Like for instance keep sigma from making him throw his hammer at the distance of the wall but avoiding the electricity charging from the his hammer as it goes though the floor and to wall you climbing on.While the his hammer is charging electricity sigma will do his eye laser but while climbing the wall it is easy for a sitting duck target for getting your change to attack sigma with more damage and saves your energy and weapon tank for being wasted although lucky there will be a life energy capsule when you face another second form of sigma.The first form of sigma became very easy for me to beat because in the past of middle school I had no idea how to beat the first form sigma the first time I face him the second move I hate from sigma is when he throw his hammer on the middle of the floor charging electricity he will shoot boomerangs from his shoulders and take for ever the boomerangs to fly away because it's not easy to dodge the boomerangs due to the fact you'll take more damage from the boomerangs. Which gives the reason why climbing on the wall with sigma throwing his hammer far in the distance is better because of his laser eye make sigma the easy target to attack him faster yeah.But anyway this game is my favorite I still have mega man x collection and yes it still works and yes I have beaten the game so far as well as mega man classic collection and same thing beaten have of the game so far but I play or beat mega man games if I want to [LONG LIVE mega man games] thank you for uploading this video yeah
Megaman X showed that Dr. Light created X, while this game showed us Zero was created by Dr. Wily, specifically to terminate the original blue bomber himself, Megaman. Makes one wonder though, what happened to the original Megaman?
There could be plenty of reason for his absence, being shut down, or returned as a housekeep robot. BTW Auto makes a cameo appearance in X3, this may imply Megaman and Roll are still active in X era, but just never participate in combats.
I've heard that Megaman was kidnapped by Dr. Wily from future and turned him into different robot. It happened when Dr. Wily traveled into future where he finds that its future self turned into a good man. Because of that, Dr. Light had remodeled Megaman back to its original form Rock. The "evil" Wily took the chance and convinced its good self to kidnap the now unarmed Rock and turned it into a Quint (Notable appearance in GBC game Megaman II) and equipped it with some kind of hopper/drill thing called Sakugarne. It was sent to past to destroy megaman, but if you ever played Megaman II, you probably know what actually happened. Like I said, I have just heard it, however, when I serched some info about him, I noticed that it looks almost similar to Blue Bomber (body and face traits are same, but it got reinforced helmet with black visor and its body turned green).

It was during the fight that Sigma actually had somehow contracted this virus from Zero, because unlike X and only being a prototype Sigma didn't have entirely free will. He had fail safes in his system that allowed it to control him. Being one of the first reploids whose design was the base for every other reploid, the Sigma Virus began to spread. So in a way, yeah this is all Zero's fault.

This game takes me back the time I was in middle school.Because I have already beaten mega man x 1 2 and 3 but during my middle school days I watched mega man x4 and tool assisted speedrun for the first time which became my favorite video to watch on youtube. But watching and experience the real of mega man games the classic series,X series,zero series,battle network series and many more from the mega man universe.But anyway near the end of my middle school days my brother give me a gift of mega man x collection that has all six mega man x games along with a [japanese only release but now became available as part of mega man x collection compilation set but hidden as a unlockable game].But anyway mega man x4 was my favorite video game because I played this game alot both middle school and high school and was able to beat mega man x4 although like the ZX series you can only play one character at a time and both characters have there own endings but back to what I was saying the character I played with zero alot though out my own gameplay in mega man x4 was zero because of his saber for hacking and slashing enemies and bosses and etc while my older brother was playing with X alot though his own gameplay in mega man x4 and both of us was able to beat the game with the ending.The first time I was facing the last boss of sigma it was hard at first but I later test sigma's move by finding a way to beat him.Like for instance keep sigma from making him throw his hammer at the distance of the wall but avoiding the electricity charging from the his hammer as it goes though the floor and to wall you climbing on.While the his hammer is charging electricity sigma will do his eye laser but while climbing the wall it is easy for a sitting duck target for getting your change to attack sigma with more damage and saves your energy and weapon tank for being wasted although lucky there will be a life energy capsule when you face another second form of sigma.The first form of sigma became very easy for me to beat because in the past of middle school I had no idea how to beat the first form sigma the first time I face him the second move I hate from sigma is when he throw his hammer on the middle of the floor charging electricity he will shoot boomerangs from his shoulders and take for ever the boomerangs to fly away because it's not easy to dodge the boomerangs due to the fact you'll take more damage from the boomerangs. Which gives the reason why climbing on the wall with sigma throwing his hammer far in the distance is better because of his laser eye make sigma the easy target to attack him faster yeah.But anyway this game is my favorite I still have mega man x collection and yes it still works and yes I have beaten the game so far as well as mega man classic collection and same thing beaten have of the game so far but I play or beat mega man games if I want to [LONG LIVE mega man games] thank you for uploading this video yeah

Megaman X showed that Dr. Light created X, while this game showed us Zero was created by Dr. Wily, specifically to terminate the original blue bomber himself, Megaman.
Makes one wonder though, what happened to the original Megaman?
The theory is that Zero did terminate him. But I'd like to believe that he just shut down and decayed over time
There could be plenty of reason for his absence, being shut down, or returned as a housekeep robot. BTW Auto makes a cameo appearance in X3, this may imply Megaman and Roll are still active in X era, but just never participate in combats.
I've heard that Megaman was kidnapped by Dr. Wily from future and turned him into different robot. It happened when Dr. Wily traveled into future where he finds that its future self turned into a good man. Because of that, Dr. Light had remodeled Megaman back to its original form Rock.
The "evil" Wily took the chance and convinced its good self to kidnap the now unarmed Rock and turned it into a Quint (Notable appearance in GBC game Megaman II) and equipped it with some kind of hopper/drill thing called Sakugarne. It was sent to past to destroy megaman, but if you ever played Megaman II, you probably know what actually happened. Like I said, I have just heard it, however, when I serched some info about him,
