funny story about this game... I originally asked my mom for Megaman Legends, but she got me the wrong one and got Megaman x4 for me that christmas. I love my Mom... and I love that she made this mistake, because I love this game so much!
Legends was shit. She definitely did you a solid! Legends is a great concept, but it ends there. If they could make a legends with like legend of zelda questing, I'd be on board. Have a central city, with 8 different paths to different maverick bosses, and many many many off quests you can do. Ocarina of time was mostly linear, but it didn't feel so much because of the game design. Make a Megaman game like that, dicks will get hard.

I don't like how little damage the other robots weapons are on them because I always have to use P shot after i use up the other weapon which gets me killed half the time. UGH

When you're getting the arm parts in storm owls stage, if you walk upto the boss door, then try and get them, if you die, it'll spawn you at that spot, and you won't have to keep running the level

I'de love to see a MMx game that adds a few things; co op play with Zero and alternate paths. E.g. Say you fight the military train stage first, after you destroy it, all enemies in other stages have weaker weaponry. If you beat it 4th, they have decent, and if you beat it last then they have full weaponry. Say you play biolab last, bosses and certain enemies have developed a resistance to some of your weaponry!

Japan has different standards than the US on what is okay for entertainment made for kids. Trust me, Japanese entertainment for kids can get away with a LOT Megaman X4 was supposed a Japanese game at first. The Double scene doesn't come until later in the game.
At first I thought Double was saying "Evil Slash" when he attacks with his claw weapons. But according to Wikipedia, he's saying "Kiba Flash". Kiba meaning "fang" in Japanese. So literally, "Fang Flash".

Isn't there a special black armor you attain after getting all the upgrades, with a special fireball dash attack?
thats if you do a little code in the character selection screen if im not mistaken then you get the armour in web spiders stage
Yeah, the armor is called "Ultimate Armor". The Fourth Armor also has the dash attack but you can only use it once per life, if I'm not mistaken.
