April birds

April 2024 was very rainy in the Netherlands. As a result, I have not seen that many exciting birds in that month. A highlight was a Merlin, that uncharacteristically was sitting for a long time in the open in a tree, unfortunately quite far away from the road, so I did not manage to get good shots. The Sparrowhawk was flying right over my head, also difficult, of course, but the Mistle thrush although not close, I saw on a day with a bit more favorable light and less wind.
