i love the Dreamfall/The Longest Journey trilogy. after playing Dreamfall on Xbox, i played Dreamfall chapters on PS4 and then now i'm playing through The Longest Journey on PC. Good stuff.
I could never get into Dreamfall on PC, but finally got into it when I found out it was on Xbox, plays way more comfortable on a console. First is definitely best on PC though.
I got given an Xbox crystal just before our first lockdown and literally spent 3 months playing the first Forza Motorsport. Fast forward seven months and I have five systems and just over 150 titles to amuse me during our second lockdown and I'm playing nearly every day. Love your content Reggie.

PSA: Make sure you find out what revision of original Xbox you have since the early models have a well known clock capacitor issue where they can leak onto the motherboard and, if not caught early enough, can corrode traces on board and eventually make the system unusable. The clock capacitor can be removed in those early revisions outright (you'll just lose out on having the system clock function correctly) or simply replaced. Only the final 2 revisions of the console fixed the clock capacitor issue but those were manufactured very late into the systems life cycle so a large majority of original Xbox's suffer from this issue. Also, don't remove the capacitor from the 2 final "fixed" revisions of the console if you have one since they require a working capacitor to function correctly. Just look it up online and be safe or else you probably won't have a working Xbox in the near future.
You’re such a chill dude Reggie keep it up man! The ps2 was my console this gen while all my friends in the area I grew up had Xbox and I don’t regret it at all but they did have some great games you’re right. I started collecting exclusives only for it like ktor, morrowind, halo, jade empire, etc. I’m thinking of expanding and buying some third party games also. They play the best on the Xbox and the 360 and one are backwards compatible so it’s easier to play them and less consoles that need to be set up, can’t say the same for the ps2 unfortunately.
Love my og xbox! I had a ps2 like many others around me bck in the gap. But just a couple years ago I got a ver.1.6 xbox so no internal battery issues. But I hooked it up and I seen the graphical upgrade from the ps2 I was like I feel so deprived all these years. After a good cleaning inside,new thermal paste and a new disc tray rubber band I basically have a new system. I have about 50 games for it now.
Maan never thought id hear anyone talke about Road to Fiddlers Green, my mom got me that from Walmart for like 20 bucks for PC when i was about 12 the only boxed PC game i ever bought as i had a shitty Comp my whole childhood that couldn't run most games but i saw how low the requirments were and got it, none of my friends ever played it but was probably the first FPS i beat alone as a kid so it has a special place in my heart, love the consistent content! A majority of the games are priced fairly cheap and it's one of the larger console libraries that you can actually get a complete collection. There are only handful of really expensive games and only a few truly rare titles for the Original Xbox. Such a fun console to collect for and play. Keep up the good work. If you've never played it and I recommend every time someone reviews the Xbox, Brute Force. 4 players co-op campaign was the best. And the bundle pack I got came with Tetris and Star wars clone wars also a great game.
I respect how diverse your collecting is. I have not collected much in the way of any xbox titles as I'm a Sony/Switch guy through and through, just the games I play are not on Xbox as much. Love this video.
Frigging love seeing dreamfall I always thought it was amazing how funcom put in the effort to voice the entire game in Norwegian as well as in English I recognised so many of the voice actors
American Dreamcast is still pretty amazing. Nice collection Reggie. It's a trip that you mentioned Land of the Dead. I've only seen than once or twice out in town and contemplated getting it. Not that common. My personal XB game collection I would recommend: DOA3 ULTIMATE DOA 2 GUN VALKYRIE IRON PHOENIX OTOGI 1 & 2 TOE JAM & EARL 3 (kinda half baked, but fun)
I'm near the end of that "Call of Cthulhu" game and have mostly enjoyed it, though I doubt I'll play it ever again -- not for a very long time, at least. Jack whispering to himself or hearing his inner monologue was a nice touch, but I found the enemy AI to be lacking -- I am playing on the Boy Scout difficulty, so maybe that is why. My copy has frozen 2-3 times by now and sometimes stutters too.
I like thinking of the Xbox as the spiritual successor to the Dreamcast. There are a bunch of great exclusive Sega titles! Everyone should own Outrun 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and JSRF. I also recommend ToeJam and Earl 3, Spikeout Battle Street, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.

Can change the output resolution of some games if you use component cables (The matrix path of neo can output at 1080i). I use a set of amazon component cables i got for £7 and the difference is huge. I've got a video on my channel comparing the quality of composite and component with ninja gaiden on the OG XBOX. I ended up buying a tonne of OG xbox retail games too from CEX (2nd hand electronics gaming shop in the UK). All the games were around £1-£10. So many good ones its hard to list them all. Im sure i bought like 30-40 OG xbox games second hand haha.
call of cthulhu dark corners of the earth is my favorite xbox game got it when it released back in 2005 if i remember right i played through it about 30 times and still love it to this day
Hey, Reggie. I'd like to recommend you Sega Soccer Slam for OG Xbox which is a sort of arcade soccer game with superpowers, punches and no rules of conventional soccer (corner and stuff are out). It's also available on PS2 and GC but I think the Xbox version has better performance (just a little bit). You could also get it on GC because it's a great version too but try to get the PAL one because it has the extra characters and game modes available on PS2 and Xbox versions. Lastly, the PS2 version has poor performance and graphical glitches so, avoid it. Stay safe, bro. You're the man.
Hell yeah. Played halo at a friends house the first time. So blown away I got a Xbox the next day even though I had a PlayStation 2. Luckily it didn't end there. Splinter cell jade empire Chronicles of riddick all showed me the power Xbox had over ps2
My favorite Xbox original game is an exclusive by the defunct Presto Studios called "Whacked!". I would love a remake of this game, but I know it'll never happen.
Finalfight Streetwises Title screen music is just too damn awesome lol. I love me some Panzer Dragoon Orta, I play it once a year. I recommend Phantom Dust and Breakdown for you. Pantom Dust is a card game disguised as an arena fighter with destructible environments and Breakdown is a sick Namco first person beat em up with a mind ef story by the Ace Combat crew. If you like Arena shooters at all Unreal Championship 2 is beautiful, and a great party game is Kung Fu CHaos.
Call of cuthulu is on pc as well I’ve played it on both. Great game seriously play it it does have some minor setbacks but nothing that doesn’t justify getting to the end.
Great collection Reggie! I still have my original Xbox I bought in the store when the system first came out. I have a lot of games still as well that I refused to let Gamestop steal from me. I was looking at the system the other day, and I still have DDR (Ultramix I believe) with the dance pad. Ha! Anyhow, I will have to set mine up this weekend and play it! Thanks for sharing!
I love Jade Empire it is my favorite OG Xbox game. Dream fall was really sweet as well but I got stuff on one part and so I never beat it. I loved those robot bears in the beginning

I have a few friends who are original Xbox collectors, not enough shooters for me although I am aware of some Japanese exclusives, (Psyvariar 2 being one of them) a cool system in the modding scene, I remember that being the 1st emulator powerhouse! Panzer Dragoon Orta is a BEAUTIFUL game on my Xbox 360 : ) I with there was more backwards compatibility with Xbox titles.

I recommend Destroy all humans. Great fun but you could wait for the remake whenever that comes out.

I love me some Panzer Dragoon Orta, I play it once a year. I recommend Phantom Dust and Breakdown for you.
Pantom Dust is a card game disguised as an arena fighter with destructible environments and Breakdown is a sick Namco first person beat em up with a mind ef story by the Ace Combat crew. If you like Arena shooters at all Unreal Championship 2 is beautiful, and a great party game is Kung Fu CHaos.

Call of cuthulu is on pc as well I’ve played it on both. Great game seriously play it it does have some minor setbacks but nothing that doesn’t justify getting to the end.
Great collection Reggie! I still have my original Xbox I bought in the store when the system first came out. I have a lot of games still as well that I refused to let Gamestop steal from me. I was looking at the system the other day, and I still have DDR (Ultramix I believe) with the dance pad. Ha! Anyhow, I will have to set mine up this weekend and play it! Thanks for sharing!

I love Jade Empire it is my favorite OG Xbox game. Dream fall was really sweet as well but I got stuff on one part and so I never beat it. I loved those robot bears in the beginning
Battle Engine Aquila is unknown as hell but really good. It's like an RTS from but you play as a hero Mech character in the FPS. Fucking incredible.
Is it worth it to start a Xbox collection in 2020? I heard their pretty cheap compare to gamecube! Great video reggie!
Jet set radio future and shenmue 2 are both really good games for the system. And most copies of JSR Future came bundled with Sega GT 2002

Sweet collection man! I have a few friends who are original Xbox collectors, not enough shooters for me although I am aware of some Japanese exclusives, (Psyvariar 2 being one of them) a cool system in the modding scene, I remember that being the 1st emulator powerhouse! Now we can do similar things easily with the PSP and Wii. Hope you have a good day 😃
