I have just bought this. What to do with the green wire, if i want to be able to use al options while driving? Can I put it with the black wire, or better to mount it somewhere on the chassis?

Is the screen stable enough to be installed on a 4x4? I'm afraid the the vibrations on the off-road terrain will give some problems... I have one single din radio that the front panel is detachable and when ridding off-road, the vibrations some times make it to disconnect...

unfortunately you cannot use the display away from the rest of the stereo. also there isnt an extension cable available for it.

if you are playing a video and only getting sound usually meams the parking brake wire on the back has not been connected

How do these sit on the E46 with the air vents located behind the screen?

they do cover the vents, but there is plenty of room for the vents to function. adjusting the vents will be harder as the screen will be in the way .
you can lower the screen however this will restrict your control of the heating controls

Thanks for the demo, I think i'm going to avoid this one since the XAV looks very similar to my 6.95" Sony dDIN. It looks just as slow and unresponsive too.. look how painfully slow the app icons move when you slide them (not ideal when driving). I think I'm going to try out an Alpine, Pioneer or Kenwood system next time. Also would love to see a car play DIN on the market with more than 50w output on each speaker channel so I can avoid the headache of installing an aftermarket amp.

Apple Car Play is a dog. It is super smooth on Android Auto.

I can find as much GPU or CPU review channels as I want, but after that there is nothing about music in a car and how they make guitar speaker. Rumor is it's easy pray for a car thieves. Compared to some cheaper TFT screen car stereos this is very responsive and that's where we aim for as SSD owners.

@@viperadae thanks, I went for the 5000 model in the end. Sunlight was a serious issue and it was unusable until I made a custom cut out shade which has resolved it.
