I need to take note on how to build those mini honey comb fences. I built mine like two standard rows of fences with a gate on each, then filled the middle in with more fence. it's more like traditional honey combing. I see guys making these style fences you have though, it looks a lot more aesthetic this way.
I mean fancy lighting is cool and all but when you play a while you just get used to it. The biggest difference you see when these effects are on is the power consumption and heat generated by the gpu. The same applies to FPS if you unlock FPS you won't notice much difference other than your gpu fans that get 5X louder.
@@benq994 Yeah, but I'm running this game on a RX560. Even with FSR on, it can barely keep a stable framerate, and I have to sacrifice a lot of sharpness and visibility to be able to play it, especially during large enemy waves.
@@TwilightWolf032 Oh when it comes to large enemy waves then it's also CPU work. In the riftbreaker demo there is separate GPU benchmark and CPU benchmark where CPU benchmark creates insane waves of enemies attacking the base. And gpu benchmark creates a burning monster walking in the night and later a stream of smaller monsters passing by.
This game is awesome. I finally plucked up the courage to start it last night. I'm still in the prologue though, just messing with the research and stuff. It seems in the prologue though, a lot of the research options just give me the same thing again, are they better versions or something? (like the scanner and things like this? they don't seem to be purple version or red version like with the weapons)
The more Communication Hubs you have the faster research is completed. Additionally having higher level Comms Hubs increases the research speed. This was a Survival game where I set a custom difficulty and gave myself 3 hours before the final wave, giving me plenty of time to research and build up my base before that point. It seems I may have been overprepared.
@@IcebergGaming265 upgrade all your mining bases to level 3 every time. It goes up in efficiency but doesn't take more outta the ground. 1,2,6 on the rate, 1 removed from ground regardless
One thing that has become abundantly clear and kinda makes this game a little boring, is how the AI attack your base. THey come from the same sides, and they always form up in a giant conga line, regardless of how many little ? appear on the map, indicating where they attack from. Every time ive seen it, they might start off in multiple lines, but will blob up into one giant horde and conga line into your guns. At that point its simply a DPS war and that gets a little boring.
I mean, only got to survive the final wave for a minute. (would like to see it increased to like 5 minutes, personally) I was able to do it with like 5 towers on each side of my mini base.. sure I lost almost all walls and likely 20k+ power (doesn't matter when you have millions in storage) from batteries between my walls.. Aslong as the pipelines were guarded so there's no flow interruption everything else can fall, cause you bailing back to earth lol
If you hold the Alt key when you place a building it will build the highest tier you have unlocked. So it is much faster to build higher tier buildings this way. However you will need to pay for all the upgrades in one go.
This was a custom difficulty on Survival mode where the resources are set to infinite. You still have to mine the resources but the resource piles never run out. When selecting a difficulty choose Custom to modify different parameters such as resources 🙂
This was played on The Riftbreaker Prologue back in August. There has been quite lot of changes since then. Plus I was playing with some mods that changed things with how the resources worked, it may have increased pickup range. I'm playing the full game Campaign now and really enjoying it :)
@@Iceheart19888 Huh? there are mods for it ? That's interesting, gonna check out later. It took me 170+ days to finish the campaign, but I wasn't rushing... so I guess it can be done in up to 50 days
overkill at its best. love your base outlay. hopefully this game delivers with an equally good storyline
the final got me unaware i tought my fortress is impossible to tear down. then this wave came
Love the part where they aren't even making it to the wall and you still throw down some more turrets
Your base is so organized! Mines got little firebases all over the edges, it passed at a grand total of ~7 fps, lol.

i love the minigun so much fun to fire it
add aoe to the bullets and it gets even better
add homing projectiles, aoe and damage over time and you got yoursellf a party :D
That one scv you left at starcraft 2
hahah
This game looks so stunning! I wish I had a more powerful GPU to render it at its finest...

best budget game
How did you get there by day 17?
"I'm helping"
killing offscreen aliens is so satisfying :3

Yes it does
You need to build armories and ammo factories, then yeah they automatically give you ammo anywhere

Does anybody know how to improve items in the game?
Cool. Thanks for sharing.
Once you've learned the Lv.3 variants of a placement, does it spawn as a Lv.3 without manually upgrading it?
