Two things this team are lacking are: A) offensive line, and B) Passing. Notice a correlation between the two, if you don’t have an O-line, you have a pass game, and until this is addressed. We will never have a pass game. Russel is not the problem, rushing is not the problem, defense is not the problem. It’s the O-line. I’m happy to see progress among the WRs but we gotta utilize tight end more often if the O-line is not sustainable.

Like I said, Arthur Smith will not take the Steelers to the promise land. Red zone offense is terrible, just like in Atlanta. Prioritizing second string players over and over, just like in Atlanta. Poor passing schemes, just like in Atlanta. I doubt this is getting better, he'll never change.

The big problem in the NFL is like 20 teams out of 32 need a better quarterback or has a rookie or a second year quarterback waiting for him to develop and the drafts are producing one good to great quarterback once or twice every ten years and unlike Hockey and MLB or Basketball who have endless supply of great talents every year from about ten countries, the NFL are stuck with very bad talents from college and many had only one full year starting or play in college for years because they have no NFL talent
As soon as the Steelers defense picked off Jamies and the offense with Justin fields went 3 and out (yeah that was obvious pi on Pickens but hey it’s football) I knew they were gonna lose. They have to capitalize on that first down when they picked off jamies. But it is what it is, I’m not making any excuse, the Steelers got to play better next week against the Bengals
Whoa u thought this inconsistent Defense played well tonight? U got more faith in them after a performance like this? The D did carry the team at times this season, but it was mostly against average or compromised offenses (ie Bo Nix’s 2nd start and Justin Herbert getting injured). Don’t forget they gave up almost 30 points to Indy and Washington before this dud against the lowly Browns. D also got torched by Dak and only kept the score within range due to Dallas’s self-inflicted errors. Tonight we got beat in the trenches all night on both sides. D-line couldn’t get consistent pressure on Jameis, which helped make him look good, and man, JPJ is SUPER inconsistent this year…Jeudy burnt him all night, probably the best Jeudy has looked all year. Also let’s face it, Minkah is playing at a very pedestrian level this season. When we needed a stop tonight, the D failed more often than not. Depending on the day, I actually don’t have that much faith in this unpredictable D right now. Offense has potential, but that Oline and suspect tactics from coaching are keeping it from realizing that potential. Unless they adjust, Steelers won’t reach the AFC title game playing like this

Can’t say the ravens are frauds if they’re the best scoring offense. Losing to the raiders they still were figuring out their offensive line and they figured it out the following week. Issue is this is week 12 and the Steelers are still just kicking field goals and relying on their defense

I've watched and listened to quite a few previews of this game and games prior. And everyone only speaks on Russ. What he can and can not do. No one speaks on this "games are won in the trenches!" Can anyone speak on the bad pass blocking? What can Russell do if he has to pass under duress all the time? You spoke on the fumble. How did that happen? The pocket collapsed. And it continues to collapse. You said, Jameis had "Time in the pocket!" Hmmmm. You noticed that and not notice the lack of time in the pocket for Russell? That's interesting. The Steelers loss this game in the trenches. Not the playcalling. Run blocking and pass blocking was horrible. The only thing I do agree is the lack of Mike and Smith. I think Smith would've been more of a force than Herbig due to his size and strength . Lastly. If the Steelers are going to move forward. They have to win these next game in the trenches. That O-line has to do a better job in pass protection. They keep getting bullied upfront. Pushed back and and penetrated. Every QB needs a certain amount of time for plays to develope. It's difficult to scheme recievers open if the QB does not have time for the scheme to take shape. Start focusing on the point of the snap. Because that determines the success of the play.

Steelers always lose to teams with a losing record. I'm just glad they beat the Ravens. This lose doesn't bother me because the Browns aren't going anywhere. But the Steelers need to score points or they are going to get crushed by good teams.

In the 4th quarter after Russ hit CA3 for the go ahead touchdown and then Pittsburgh intercepts a Winston pass with 4:22 left in the 4th quarter. Pittsburgh puts in your QB Jesus Justin Fields and he goes nowhere and then on 3rd down Fields tried to throw a "moon ball" to Pickens. It wasn't even close to Pickens. That turned out to be Pittsburgh's final possession. So Justin Fields, NOT Russell Wilson lost this game. Yes I watched the game. Pittsburgh is not moving the ball on 1st and 2nd downs because team are putting 8 man fronts on those downs to stuff their run. Which leaves 3rd and long for Russ to pass. Pittsburgh isn't switching that up until the 2nd half. That's why Pittsburgh's offense isn't producing until the 2nd half. If Pittsburgh threw the ball in the 1st half like they do in the 2nd half they would've beat Cleveland.
