18:30 also, if they message asking to shiip to another address, cancel order and rebuy. You lose seller protections if shipping to address other than one that eBay has
My husband and I have noticed that of we talk about an item that has been listed for awhile it will sell within a few days. We agree it only works if it happens organically - we joke around and say wow I can't believe EVERYTHING has t sold that we have listed hoping it goes out into the universe! Lol
I don't have a question but just want to thank you for doing these videos and for helping to develop Flipwise. We started our ebay store when we were 68 years old and are into our second year. It's been fun and we have used your advice probably more than the advice from any other TH-cam channel. Appreciate it!
So true! Touching or just noticing something that’s been on a shelf for a long time will suddenly spark a sale! It’s also crazy that the entire stock market pivots on my positions! Unfortunately, always in the opposite direction!
You can delay the shipping! All you have to do is print the packing slip and then you can hold off on shipping a few extra days. Just did this last week for a customer who was out of town. Was not dinged.
Great content as always! I can’t remember which video of yours provided a link to see FB Marketplace listings before anyone else does. Could you please provide that video title so I can rewatch it? I’d really appreciate it! TIA!
I have been the subject of some good natured teasing for selling vintage "tighty whities" but yes, the money is great so I will continue to sell them happily.
I had my biggest return in 14 years of just under $1000 (Item damaged in shipment). Quite the gut punch. Thankfully it was insured. We will see how that goes. Love your videos. Thanks for all the hard work.
It’s very important that when you fill out your claim form that you include photos of ALL the packing material. Stay on them as the claim will most likely be initially rejected Get ahold of an agent on the phone to determine what you’ll need to do to have them pay the claim. I’ve had several over the past year and every one was initially rejected (didn’t matter the carrier) but after a good fight they were all paid! Just some advice.
I have an older, smaller, cheaper scale. Before I sold my first item, I weighed an item then swung by the post office to compare with their scale to test it and found mine was accurate. I also just press the hold button before setting the box on so I can view the weight after taking it off. My point is, if you don't have a fancy scale yet, you can work with what you have.
Never, ever, ever ask a buyer for feedback. Not only may they leave a seller negative feedback for bothering them, it might remind them of a forgotten purchase and they may decide they don't want it anymore and return it.
I found two postal scales this summer at garage sales that I now use for weighing things. One was a high accuracy (gram accurate) low capacity scale for only $4. Then at another one I found another scale, a Royal postal with wireless display, a $60 value for only $3. Crazy finds and just what I needed.
I have a story like the one you shared at the start: I mostly sell vinyl records and cassette tapes, but sometimes I have random items to get rid of. I had listed a used conference call speaker thing (like a little blue tooth speaker for conference calls). The sell through wasn’t great. It must have been listed for six months or more, then one day I was randomly thinking about it, like “I doubt this thing will ever sell,” and the next day it sold to someone in China through the ISP! Wild!
You talked about a buyer asking seller to hold shipment for X number of days. I sold several vintage auto show trophies and held items for the buyers several times. We communicated back and forth through the eBay messaging system. I did talk to a human at eBay who said as long as there is communications back and forth about this, the seller will not be dinged. The messaging is your proof of the request. This guy was a great buyer and bought several trophies over a several week period. (Thanks for your videos. They are a great help...and entertaining.)
Because of you I picked up a pack of Fruit of the Loom underwear at Goodwill, they had just pushed out a cart and they were sitting on it, they weren’t vintage, but they were 2013, so a little older, but they sold in a couple of weeks for decent money. 😎👍
Hi Justin. As a new reseller since March 2024, your videos have educated me beyond belief and my eBay store has grown leaps and bounds in that time. Thank you! I recently sold an item to an address in California and noticed that I was charged an International Fee. It was fairly insignificant, less than $1.00, but when I looked into it, eBay reported, "You were charged this fee because the buyer’s registered address is in Mexico." Have you ever experienced this or know about this policy eBay has?
When people ask for partial refunds it's always a scam for them to get a bigger discount than what they got. Always request for the item back and issue a full refund instead.
I live in a vacation home area. NEVER NEVER NEVER ship to a vacation home. USPS does not deliver to addresses that they have marked as vacant (such as vacation homes). Not a week goes by without an very angry vacationer in my local USPS office demanding that their amazon packages be delivered to the rental home. Nope - automatically returned.
As a canadian seller if there’s an issue, I sell lots of vintage electronics so yknow happens every now and again. Getting it returned is such a waste of $ 99% of time. Sad world but gotta do the partials.
I thrifted the cheaper version scale. I just keep an empty box on top. Zero it out and place my package on top. Keeps screen in easy view. Thanks for all your support. 😉
I recommend putting a line in your template that says you as the seller reserve the right to change the shipping company. If I grossly underestimate shipping I have the option to switch
A good tip about listing specifics is that when you sell an item that's the same as one that's already been sold. When you click "sell one like this" it will auto-copy all the specific details so you don't have to input them.
But you have to be careful! I sold an exact same item (a book) and used the sell similar thing. The person already had the ASIN number listed so I left it. I ended up getting a return because the ASIN number was incorrect (the buyer was obviously just looking for a freebee, but either way I had to do the return because the item was not as described).
I would also highly recommend buying scale calibration weights. I have 2 of the same scales Justin displayed in his video and every once in a while the weights displayed can be very off and need to be recalibrated. Saved me a ton in penalty charges.
@heather2000 as he mentioned in the video, when you try to weigh larger items that over hang the scale base, when the controls and display are on the unit, it's difficult to read the weight or even reach the buttons. If the display and buttons are apart from the main unit, weighing larger items is so much easier
I care about feedback if you don’t it doesn’t matter, but to get a higher percentage of feedback, I wrap everything in a tissue paper and a bow of a silk ribbon which probably only ends up being an ounce and I stick a card no envelope in there telling them thank youfor shopping in my Ebay store and I put their name on the card as well as my store name because I feel like that will encourage them to follow me which intern gives me a very high rate of positive 23 at 100%. I have a theory this differentiates me from Amazon I am a small business person, little old lady type and I believe it reduces their tendency to return items as if I am Amazon. I get very few returns, but I also say that I don’t accept returns however, when they ask me for one I usually let them.
On the shipping. We weigh everything very carefully and even add ounces and pounds. Make sure the Post Office, UPS and Fedex weigh your items in front of you AND the weight is shown on your receipt. They upcharge all the time when one drops off an item and they don't actually weigh it, just provide a receipt of drop-off. Found they cheat you this way all the time. Ebay says they cannot help with that issue as it is with the shipping vendor.
Anytime I sell large lots of jewelry whether all pieces are wearable or not I still include may contain a few broken fragments. Only because of shipping. Unless you're going to individually bag each piece securely there's no way to guarantee all pieces will arrive intact. This will help minimize dissatisfied customers and returns. Id rather have my customer expecting a few broken pieces than to expect a completely perfect lot. People will still buy jewelry lots if the price is right and images are enticing.
Am selling mostly jewelry “ rings and necklaces “ some people always message me telling me to add what is the benefit of carrying type of stones “ they ask for the spiritual benefits “ what are the best things to do in my situation Thank you love your efforts of making those videos
Always glean a few things from your videos, Justin. Thanks for taking the time to scratch where it itches for us. New reseller here who is running to catch up on my 2nd time around on eBay. Pretty sure I need FlipWise.
I sent a 14# package via FedEx and they claimed it weighed 44#. The buyer requested a return and the return postage was for the 14#, not 44#. I reweighed it when I got it back and it was still 14#. I called FedEx and they refused to talk to me as the account is eBay's not mine. I called eBay and they eventually refunded the difference making it sound like a courtesy refund, not an actual refund. I avoid FedEx unless the shipping rate is so beneficial I have no choice but always have the FedEx clerk my weight at the counter which is printed on the label along with the dimensions.
@@la6136 There is a UPS franchise store very close to me. The original owners were great but then it changed hands. On a busy day the line was so long I dropped an eBay package in a bin that read drop in here if you don't need a receipt, so reluctantly I did rather than a long wait, what could possibly go wrong. My eBay customer messaged me, where's my purchase. The new UPS store owners said they were not responsible for items left in the box.....and started a screaming match. On the Nextdoor app there have been many same complaints. Now I drop off my few UPS packages at a nearby CVS pharmacy and get an email receipt.
If the Buyer provided the wrong address in their profile and your label created is the address used, especially since you cannot change any Buyer's address, it is the issue with the Buyer. If they knew they were leaving that temporary address within a couple of days of ordering, they should have used their permanent address before ordering. Shame on those buyers!
i thought black friday week was a wash out… then had 7 sales over the weekend just gone. for a small seller, 75 listings, listing 1 item a day every day, i sell normally 1-2 items a week. it shows me on a weekly basis that i can make profits from the method. scalability is next on the agenda! smart sourcing of inventory and slowly upping my daily listing rate to bolster my total amount of listings. just a thankyou for all the info justin, absolutely invaluable! 👏🏻😎
As a buyer when I check the value on something, I check across the internet. I feel I'm not the only one who does this as a shopper when looking for the best deal. Since eBay listings also show up outside of eBay example Google ads, why do resellers only check comps on eBay?
Yeah, Justin, I had to move back to the parents. They let me use the back room to store stuff to sell while we move out in the future. That being said after we moved everything I sold like 3 items in one day. I usually only sell one every other 2 days.
Your perception of the item being nice at the time of decorating put positive energy into the listing. For anyone who views it after that can somewhat pick up on its "niceness" by your recent use of the item. This is a theory fr9m an empath point of view.
It is very similar to the experiment of an item that, in theory, you really like and didn't want to sell if priced correctly would probably sell easily.
Did anyone else get the email from Mercari saying they are going back to charging seller fees? That didn't last long. Get it all listed and sold before January 6th! (If you even use Mercari, I stopped a year ago)
On the 2 pieces damaged out of a lot of jewelry, I would apologize and tell them I stand behind everything we sell so please send the “lot” back for a full refund. If you’re not interested in returning the “lot” let me know what you think a fair refund would be and we can go from there. Most times the buyer answers that they just wanted to let me know and appreciated my apology. If they respond with an amount that is crazy, I would just tell them that the ratio of damaged items is 1% or whatever it was, and offer the associated dollar amount or feel free to return everything for a full refund.
I use to ask for feedback but found if they were not happy the left negative. I just message them to say when I will be shipping but that is about it. Get more positive that way.
Just to add on to that vacation shipping issue. I had something similar happen a few weeks ago (drop shipper forgot to change the address). And the item was out for delivery too, so I couldn’t divert it. I called eBay and they told me to never divert a package. Once you alter the address from what it was at the point of sale, you lose all seller protections for that item. So I let it be and it showed delivered. The person left a negative feedback stating I didn’t divert the package. eBay had my back and removed the feedback. Just fyi
When a customer messages that they want you to hold an item you will get a ding. But when you see the ding, if you notify eBay customer service that the customer requested the late delivery and there’s a message. eBay will remove the ding.
I often find that UPS or rarely FedEx is a little cheaper when I go to ship something. However, I always specify USPS Ground Advantage in the listing. Do you find it an issue to utilize a service other than what is specified in the listing?
Question when you block a buyer, what kind of message do they see? I had a guy cancel on me twice so I blocked him and then he opened another account to buy the item that was the third time I messaged him and I mailed it cause I’m like I don’t have time for this and I’ll take his money 😊
I had a buyer buy a blue tooth speaker that was untested and they requested a return. If i test it and it works i will consider this buyers remorse and refund without shipping included if that option is not available i will give a partial refund.
Hi Justin, Thank you for your great videos. Can you tell me why on some listings eBay gives me the option to send an offer to Watchers, but on most they don't? I have many watchers on many listings that I'd like to send offers too. Is there another way to do it? Thanks again ❤
I agree, spend the money to get a new scale. It sounds like his is bad, and it is costing him more in time and gray hairs than it would to just get a good new scale.
Hi Just received my card , thanks . Not very happy with the condition of the card . Blemish on the top right hand side of the card is not acceptable . I've bought many cards on eBay , but never received one like this or had to return it .... not sure what to do next . What do you suggest ? I have a no return policy because I sell collectables. I document the cards before they leave and I know that they will not be damaged during shipping. I asked for a photo of the "blemish" and for comparison sake indicate on the high resolution scans from my listing the same "blemish" Reminded him that I don't do returns but send the card back and I will evaluate for a refund. The card has gone up 20% since the sale. Have a strong feeling I won't be getting the same card back that I shipped out. Do I get eBay involved before they send it back?
Sounds like this buyer is fishing for a partial refund. They are hoping you get nervous and offer some money back to avoid a return or negative feedback. Like I said in the video, I do not recommend you give partial refunds and force buyers to send items back for a refund if they are not happy. Additionally, this is why I suggest you offer refunds on eBay, because even if you do not offer them, buyers can still return your items, so you might as well get the benefits of offering them. Good luck!
When I have tried to do a refund before eBay made me do the refund within two days they did not allow me to receive the product first before sending a refund.
I sold a xbox 360 controller with wire connector and listed it as is untested for parts only, in the description it was also pointed out as to the flaws and listed as AS IS FOR PARTS ONLY. It was in the correct everything down to the title and they asked for a refund and eBay said yes off the rip so i contacted eBay explaining that it was buyers remorse or them just not believing that it wasnt "working" OR they just didnt read anything that was plastered all over the listing. The eBay lady was nice and agreed she also stated that if they return it that i shouldn't worry about the item since it wont come out of my pocket. Now i am waiting to see if that is true once the controller is here. I have hopes but i also have very little faith in it LMAO hopefully i dont lose money because even IF i can relist it im out the cost of the label, time and shipping material.
also forgot to mention i even took pictures zoomed in on the wires being damaged so in no way should the buyer have thought it would work without flaws. Funny enough the return even described what i said was wrong with it....
Never count on anything an ebay rep says being set in stone. If you hang up and call back another rep will give you a different answer. It's exasperating
@@kimbercafe11 I’m not counting on it more just stating a very recent interaction I have had with them. I will come back to this and post an update with the final results.
Has happened to me. Always call eBay (don't use online chat), usually, the eBay reps are great, if not hang up, and call again. You must wait for the item to come back to you before you can get your money back. Once you receive the item, check it and talk to a Rep. However, if the buyer leaves negative feedback, it is much harder to get removed (in my case, it never did).
@@hagopket yeah my conversation was over the phone, the lady that helped me was super cool. Just playing the wait game to see what happens when it gets here
Hello. A question for flip wise. I’m a new seller, under 25 items listed currently. I was looking around for a way to log in cost of goods that are unrelated to my items listed such as when I purchase shipping supplies or mileage or subscriptions to services like flipwise, or any of those other business expenses. Thank you for your time.
If you give the buyer 3 options for shipping-say $9.99 for either USPS Ground, UPS Ground, Fed Ex ground and they choose one, can you pick another or should you stick with what they choose?
Hi Justin, I couldn't find your email, but I have a question. I have a lot of inventory because I took a pause from reselling, but am getting back into now. Should I list as much as possible now, this making the eBay algorithm expect me to post that many items daily, or should I start at a slow and steady pace of maybe 5 items a day so that, when I've run through my stockpile, I can afford to source for the number of daily listings eBay expects from me? I'm currently listing 5 a day, but I'm not sure this is the best move, and I'm anxious to get momentum in my store. I'm not sure how much I inventory I've got, but I'd guess somewhere around 200-250 items. Thank you, and I apologize if this is a question you've answered before.
If you're just starting out I do not recommend you post a bunch of stuff at once and instead pace it out. I talk about this and other tips for getting started in this video: th-cam.com/video/Gl3BN4cX5ks/w-d-xo.html Thanks!
There was a glitch with FedEx and Ebay I shipped two large euro pillows and the weight of the box was probably like 2 pounds but the box itself was large. FedEx charged me after the fact an extra $30 because they claimed the box was 9 pounds I called Ebay and they said that FedEx estimates what the weight of the box will be they don’t actually weigh it and then they charge you for what their estimation isand I complained about that showing that it was pillow and Ebay refunded that extra shipping after charge I’m not sure if they’re still doing that it may have been corrected
I don’t understand how it can be the sellers fault if something is broken during shipping. If an item is packaged well and it is broken the package was most likely mishandled. Ground advantage comes with a default insurance amount. Wouldn’t that cover the seller?
It's less about fault. It may not be your fault that something broke in transit, but as the seller it is still your responsibility to resolve the problem. So you have to accept the return, refund the buyer, and submit the insurance claim.
@@justinresells hint; immediately ask for pictures of the broken parts as well as the shipping materials so that when you make your claim, you can forward those pictures you need to do this before they throw that out

QUESTION: we have been selling a lot from out of our home because we are getting ready to list our house to move out of state. I haven’t been keeping any records and don’t have receipts for anything plus there’s also things I inherited from my mother when she passed away in April. Is this going to be a major headache come tax filing time?
You need to pay taxes on any amount of income generated. $5,000 is just the threshold that the marketplaces are required by law to report your income to the IRS for you.
justin! a question if i may… a buyer requested a full refund on an item today. i sold the item end of last month. no use case defects (headphones) but one of the pads has slight sunfade. reason, item not as described. there was a shipping problem, the buyer had to pay £3.30 for the shipping, despite me already paying £3.30 for the shipping when generating the label (which i thought was weird, standard shoe box sized box, not particularly heavy, i couldnt understand this) i have offered a partial £10 refund for item condition stating that this is as a gesture of goodwill, and offered to of course refund the excess postage cost. moving forwards how do i approach the situation if the buyer is not happy with this resolution? this is my first partial refund offer (i have fully refunded in the past 3 times for other items) and as the item was quite high value at £99.99 it has me worried that im going to be forced to pay the full amount, ebay currently has £103 of my funds on hold due to the matter. any advice would be awesome regards!
Dear Justin, went to do a sale/ markdown and the option to create and end date is gone ( no calander ) and just had 1 month!!! Is this a policy change or an eBay screw up. This occurred 5 minutes ago??!!!!
Justin or anyone??? A buyer sent me a message on eBay that he will be returning a shirt he purchased because it’s too small. Make the story short, he never opened a return and I forgot about this message . I just thought he was going to open a return. I received the shirt in the mail and and he never did a return. Shirt looks fine but I’m not sure what do. Should I refund his money( that’s what I want to do.) but then there is no paper trail of the return. Help!!
I have a question, I have not found a pair of glasses to sell yet but... What do you mean by "frames only?" Are you popping the lenses out of the sunglasses if they're prescription and just selling them literally frames only? Or are you leaving the prescription lenses in and just mentioning in the title "frames only" Your pictures you show make it appear that you're leaving the prescription lenses inside the sunglasses. Thank you
@UsernameOG0 hi there, I'm a vintage eyewear seller. You can sell them either way, but trust me, if you remove Rx lenses you will have a lot fewer buyer issues. People just don't read descriptions, even if you put it in the title in all caps you'll still have buyers who don't read it. It's nuts. Just my 2 cents♡
I think you're really missing the boat on the nuances of a buyer reaching out and saying there is an issue where the remedy is a partial refund. First off you didn't cover the notion that if they send it back then you as the seller are literally eating the shipping cost both ways and that could easily be thick headed. So tell the buyer no to a 5 or $10 partial refund to settle the matter but definitely eat 8 to $10 each way for shipping? That would just be mad! We're dealing in a used merchandise and condition is subjective, I think it's really unfair for you to presume that a buyer is fishing for a partial refund as you call it, even within that context it's suggestive that the buyers trying to get something for nothing. No, in many cases they are trying to get something for something and that something is that they have a perspective that what they ordered isn't right and isn't up to the standards.
It's more a matter of personal preference I guess. Personally, I would rather lose out on a few extra bucks by having the item sent back than give unnecessary partial refunds with any sort of regularity. Like I said, 9 times out of 10 the buyers who complain and want money back for some "problem" don't actually open the return up and send it back. And those that do get a full refund, so they're covered, and I usually end up reselling it anyway so the financial impact to me is minimal. But you make good points, and there is no one right answer here. Thanks for sharing!
@@justinresells , I love your style, that is for sure. If you ever want to have me on podcast style, to truly debate concepts like this and other topics, I'd love to be a part of that.
Since shipping is like gambling trying to get the best cost price that works, I will over charge to make sure it will work with the package. After shipping I will refund extra cost back to them. I only do this with heavy items that are hard to guess.
Shipping shouldn’t be a gamble. The more you do it the better you’ll get. Also maybe try the eBay shipping calculator and just assume it’s going far away(ie: to Oregon if you’re in Florida)
@@donnamarkow2368 also, eBay calculates their fees based on sale price including shipping. By using your method, even if returning the extra, are you sure the eBay fee is changed to reflect that?

Not a week goes by without an very angry vacationer in my local USPS office demanding that their amazon packages be delivered to the rental home. Nope - automatically returned.
100 percent agree about the partial refund. That's what my cable company does! Your internet went out for half the day? Here's a buck fifty credit.
@@taylorlurati6034 yes, that's why I like to input only what's necessary.
Postal scales are worth every penny. Definitely go for the one with a separate reader and controls.
I would also highly recommend buying scale calibration weights. I have 2 of the same scales Justin displayed in his video and every once in a while the weights displayed can be very off and need to be recalibrated. Saved me a ton in penalty charges.
Why do you recommend separate reader and controls?
@heather2000 as he mentioned in the video, when you try to weigh larger items that over hang the scale base, when the controls and display are on the unit, it's difficult to read the weight or even reach the buttons. If the display and buttons are apart from the main unit, weighing larger items is so much easier
@steviehatton5961 thanks for the explanation 🙏🏻
Am selling mostly jewelry “ rings and necklaces “ some people always message me telling me to add what is the benefit of carrying type of stones “ they ask for the spiritual benefits “ what are the best things to do in my situation
Thank you love your efforts of making those videos
I think the majority of the items being promoted right now and i use it as well.
I have heard fedex does things like that on Mercari too. I don’t trust fedex. Only use ups or usps
You great man sorry to bugger your eBay message. Was cool to find you. Appreciate the content had that question about shipping late aT buyers request
Yeah, Justin, I had to move back to the parents. They let me use the back room to store stuff to sell while we move out in the future. That being said after we moved everything I sold like 3 items in one day. I usually only sell one every other 2 days.
I bought the same scale on ebay for around $20...I love it!
Fedex has been way cheaper for me......weird thing is, most of them are forwarded to the USPS anyway.
Had multiple damages with Fedex so try to only use Post Office and UPS.
100% about energy! that's the amazing way this place works 😊
@bobbiellison4315 this place, as in this beautiful world we live in. ❤️
Another great vid Justin.
I had a buyer buy a blue tooth speaker that was untested and they requested a return. If i test it and it works i will consider this buyers remorse and refund without shipping included if that option is not available i will give a partial refund.
I have found FedEx has been cheaper lately, also.
So odd, you’re not the first reseller to say that when they spontaneously touch their inventory, that item sells 😅 what is this anomaly!?
Hi Justin, Thank you for your great videos. Can you tell me why on some listings eBay gives me the option to send an offer to Watchers, but on most they don't? I have many watchers on many listings that I'd like to send offers too. Is there another way to do it? Thanks again ❤
I agree, spend the money to get a new scale. It sounds like his is bad, and it is costing him more in time and gray hairs than it would to just get a good new scale.
Hi
Just received my card , thanks .
I asked for a photo of the "blemish" and for comparison sake indicate on the high resolution scans from my listing the same "blemish"
Reminded him that I don't do returns but send the card back and I will evaluate for a refund.

You can log general business expenses like that in Flipwise using the Ledger. help.flipwise.app/article/48-how-do-i-use-the-ledger
If you give the buyer 3 options for shipping-say $9.99 for either USPS Ground, UPS Ground, Fed Ex ground and they choose one, can you pick another or should you stick with what they choose?
My scale has a button that sets the weight and I am able to remove the item off the scale.
I talk about this and other tips for getting started in this video: th-cam.com/video/Gl3BN4cX5ks/w-d-xo.html
Thanks!
@justinresells Thank you, and thank you for replying so quickly!

Just found your channel a few weeks ago enjoy a lot of your videos when you sell glasses with prescription frames only….do you pop out the lenses?
I don't
QUESTION: we have been selling a lot from out of our home because we are getting ready to list our house to move out of state. I haven’t been keeping any records and don’t have receipts for anything plus there’s also things I inherited from my mother when she passed away in April. Is this going to be a major headache come tax filing time?
In 2024, as long as you make less than $5k on that platform specifically, you don’t have to pay taxes. In 2025, it will be $2500.
You need to pay taxes on any amount of income generated. $5,000 is just the threshold that the marketplaces are required by law to report your income to the IRS for you.

a question if i may…
a buyer requested a full refund on an item today. i sold the item end of last month. no use case defects (headphones) but one of the pads has slight sunfade.
reason, item not as described.
there was a shipping problem, the buyer had to pay £3.30 for the shipping, despite me already paying £3.30 for the shipping when generating the label (which i thought was weird, standard shoe box sized box, not particularly heavy, i couldnt understand this)
i have offered a partial £10 refund for item condition stating that this is as a gesture of goodwill, and offered to of course refund the excess postage cost.
moving forwards how do i approach the situation if the buyer is not happy with this resolution?
this is my first partial refund offer (i have fully refunded in the past 3 times for other items) and as the item was quite high value at £99.99 it has me worried that im going to be forced to pay the full amount, ebay currently has £103 of my funds on hold due to the matter.
any advice would be awesome
regards!
On the prescription Oakley’s, do you take the lens out to sell? Or, keep them in but put frames only in your listing thanks in advance

Hey Justin. Your opinion. Do you think it's more effective to do a 10% sitewide sale or promote at 10% for a period of time?
Thanks!!

Is this a policy change or an eBay screw up. This occurred 5 minutes ago??!!!!
FedEx & UPS will break your stuff.
Help!!
You have the shirt back, so go ahead and refund. There will be a paper trail of the refund (without an actual return).
Thank you! Appreciate it!
I have a question, I have not found a pair of glasses to sell yet but...
What do you mean by "frames only?" Are you popping the lenses out of the sunglasses if they're prescription and just selling them literally frames only? Or are you leaving the prescription lenses in and just mentioning in the title "frames only"
Your pictures you show make it appear that you're leaving the prescription lenses inside the sunglasses. Thank you
I don't remove the lenses.
@@justinresells thank you
@UsernameOG0 hi there, I'm a vintage eyewear seller. You can sell them either way, but trust me, if you remove Rx lenses you will have a lot fewer buyer issues. People just don't read descriptions, even if you put it in the title in all caps you'll still have buyers who don't read it. It's nuts. Just my 2 cents♡
Early in my buying of inventory a woman said to me “there’s things that run, and things that work, know the difference “
Vintage underwear? ummm.. What kind?? Brand? LOL
If it’s new 😂
Why does vintage underwear sell for a lot? haha what's the hype?

Where do you buy your boxes?
I use a local box supplier. Most major metro areas will have them.
Since shipping is like gambling trying to get the best cost price that works, I will over charge to make sure it will work with the package. After shipping I will refund extra cost back to them. I only do this with heavy items that are hard to guess.
Why not just set to buy pays calculated shipping setting?
Shipping shouldn’t be a gamble. The more you do it the better you’ll get. Also maybe try the eBay shipping calculator and just assume it’s going far away(ie: to Oregon if you’re in Florida)
@@donnamarkow2368 also, eBay calculates their fees based on sale price including shipping. By using your method, even if returning the extra, are you sure the eBay fee is changed to reflect that?
Thank you! ✌️🩷
