Yes, I've had this exact same thought.. monitoring comments is as much about protecting my audience as shielding me from the hate.. It's a shame YT doesn't do more.. I see comments are on now. It works that way on Fanfiction.net so I'm not surprised this is happening on You Tube. I know writers who will not answer reviews. I have readers who review and then always disable the feature afterwards so they will not be harassed by trolls and haters. Those idiots defend their friends who steal others' stories and they even try to organize boycotts against those they dislike.
This is so true...TH-cam needs to find a way for users to ban trollers and haters to protect themselves. Cyber bullying is real and the negative effects are also very real. Also, it sucks that hundreds of good people always have to suffer because of 1 or 2 idiots. That's what the haters want. Don't let them win! Focus on the positive reviews, they are the truth!
So I was looking for any videos you may have done in Arizona and then I find this. I saw that Nomadic soup trash channel the other day and it made me upset. Good to know that you took charge (somewhat, in what little way youtube lets you).
It's understood by me that you're running a business through TH-cam. It's a public platform and it comes with publicity. Perhaps there is a way to select "private" instead of "public" and keep your audience and not loose the paycheck.
