🌬🌧⛵ Scotland throwing all the weather at us for our arrival after 48 hours at sea on our very first passage and watch system experience. Del steering us to a safe anchorage off Arran in a gale like a pro 👏Hope you enjoy the latest in the Bessie Ellen series! Kim and Del
I so love these videos. I've had to sell my last boat and more or less give up sailing for financial and health reasons so it is so wonderful to almost feel to be onboard Bessie Ellen. Thank you so much!
Yeah, there's so much to it! Every time we think we're getting the hang of it, we realise there's a load more things we had no idea about going on in the background. Glad to have a very experienced skipper in charge!
These Adventures of Bessie Ellen are like a tasty dessert to me . I like to savor small bits at a time to make it last . Currently, I'm on the 2nd time around and enjoying it just as much ( I'm sure that by weeks end I'll have probably viewed it 3 or 4 times ). Poor Bracken and his over-stretched bladder ! Looks like Tommy has the makings of a career sailor : eager to learn; ambitious and hard working . As always, looking forward to the next episode . -- signed, ... Ken from the U.S. ( my grandfather worked the lumber schooners off the Swedish Gold Coast around the time Bessie Ellen was built ) .
What a delight to hear how much you're enjoying the series, thank you! Thankfully, Bracken gets lots of runs and shore time most of the time, just the odd longer passage now and again where he's determined to fill up that bladder for as long as possible! It's been wonderful seeing how much Tommy has come on throughout his time on Bessie Ellen, a real asset to the team. Thanks again for following our journey! All the best, Kim
Really like those videos. The Algorythm made me aware of the last video, the start of the Round Britain trip. However, I think I'll have to watch the whole series of Bessie Allen! Personally, I have only been on steel ships, the flat bottom ones on the Ijsselmeer. This one feels way more ... tough as well as romantic. For one, it's on the actual sea, 2nd it is a wooden boat and 3rdly, I love the British isles.
Glad to hear it, thanks! And thanks to the algorithm too I guess 😁 We briefly sailed on a steel ship last year too, and while it was a beautiful boat, the feel (and sound) of an old wooden boat like Bessie is something else entirely 😃 Thanks for watching 👍

Glad these videos are able to give you that feeling of almost being onboard… thanks for watching!
Very pleasant footage there, even the bad weather looked good from here in Western Australia. Cheers
Cheers! With the right clothing (and the promise of some heating and drying after!), the weather isn't too bad ; )
I never realised just how involved sailing a boat the size of BessieEllen was.
Love Scotland ❤️

Ohhhh... What another great video ! Cheers 🧡✨
Cheers for following along! 😃
Great episode again. ... ...never enough Bracken!😉
Thanks! Ha, more Bracken coming in the next episode!
