    This is amazing! The quality is so clear, which webcam did you use?

      Yeah Riverside at this stage definitely has the clearest picture quality. Their bit rate is way better than any of the other remote recording options right now. That may change - but I'm super happy with their results right now! I'm using the Sony VZ-E10 (links in the description) plugged into the computer via a Elgato Camlink. Alex is using the Canon M50 MKII plugged into a Rodecaster Duo. We both have studio lights etc - lighting makes a big difference for sure.

    What software did you use to edit this particular video? I like that you're in a circle. Does Riverside let you do that?

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We use OBS to record our episodes so that we can screenshare and have a number of different "scenes" created (so that I can switch between full-screen, me in a circle, transitions etc). OBS is free. There is a bit of a learning curve to get it all set up, but it's a great tool. ECamm Live does a similar thing - that is paid software with similar application. Then for the putting the episode together (editing, colour grading etc) we use Descript or Adobe Premiere/After Effects depending on the level of complexity required for the edit!

    How do you show your talking head during your screen presentation? Do you do it in Riverside or do you edit it on different software?

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We record in OBS the talking head aspects, and then we put it together with the Riverside video in either Adobe Premiere, or Descript - depending on how detailed the edit needs to be and the level of complexity to other motion graphics. Riverside is definitely not something I would use for editing - it's very clunky and time consuming. The easiest editing version is Descript for sure. We have a DIY Podcasters program that shows you how to do all of it if you're interested in that. www.bambymedia.com/diypodcaster

      @@bambymedia, thanks for sharing. So basically, you use Riverside to record the podcast and other software to finalize.

    What camera are you using?

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Brianna is the Sony ZVE10 - amzn.to/3GXx4DF and Alex is the Canon M50 MK11: amzn.to/3vbSCdb. We also have a full gear list in the description of this video if you're looking for lights etc. The lights make a big difference because the camera then doesn't have to work as hard. I've found the ZVE10 the better camera for this purpose.

      yes the sony looks very good! I have have to get it. what lens?

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@blackthug65 It depends on how much room you've got to play with and the amount of background blur you'd like to try and achieve. I'd recommend starting with the kit lens that comes with the camera, and then reassessing what you need once you've played with that one!

    How do you invite the other person?

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a little "invite" button on the top right. You can see it at 2:55 in this video. You can also invite them ahead of time and schedule the recording session for a predetermined/date and time

    May I suggest that you position your mic just a little bit lower (or to the side) so that it doesn't obscure your mouth? Thanks.

      I think she was hiding her face on purpose because I noticed that the sound was not synced up correctly. I wonder if this is a flaw or just a mistake

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah there was a problem on export of this one with the sync so it was very slightly off. Bit of a bugger, but not a dealbreaker. The mic placement was optimised for audio (as we have an audio only channel too), and I've found that the Rode Podmic sounds best with my voice on axis really close, but I've since changed the setup around to improve the placement of the mic and switched microphones. I try out a lot of microphones on this channel, so you'll see them change a bit!

    I like the quality - video and audio - on your channel. But mic placement is bothersome, I can’t see your mouth as you talk. I hope I’m not being offensive. 😎

    • @bambymedia

      Not offensive at all! This was one of our earliest videos, and we didn’t realise it was bothersome until afterwards. ☺️ I had feedback on a couple of videos about the placement of the mic and we fixed it up for any recordings we’ve done since. Thanks for the feedback!
