- What's up gamers, GullYY here. Welcome back to another epic Polytopia 1v1! In this video, we place Oumaji in the spotlight. The only problem is our opponent is Cymanti, and they're fairly competent. It made for a rather difficult game. Enjoy!

Once I used an Oumaji against Cymanthi on a small map. I knew my opponent, because I lost agaist him before using another tribe. Actually Oumaji was perfect to counter him. I was quicker and took 5 out of 7 villages on the map, connected them with roads and spammed riders. He had 1400 ELO but he couldn't do anything as I killed every of his centipides with 20 riders. Still one of my best ganes ever

It was obvious that once Gully revealed the bottom middle wasn’t contested, he was going to win.

I never thought that someone as Gully could feel anxiety against a polygonal spiderman tribe (I do as well all the time). Great vid Gully!
The amount of damage they can do to your units is insane 😅 any city next to them will instantly fall to them if i don't pay close attention

Something I found out: with the over-healing bug it is possible to raise a units hp infinitely.
You need to capture a Cymanti city with mycelium (two Citys with Mycelium are way better) then you move a unit to the mycelium or adjacent to it (some places do not work apparently but with two adjacent mycelium there should also be a place where both work). Then the Cymanti-Player needs to poison your units, e.g. with Phychi. When it's "your" turn again, do not move the poisoned unit and let it automatically heal by ending the turn. It's hp should get higher than normal. If you poison the unit again and let it heal automatically its health will ceap increasing. It should work for every unit (haven't tried Ships yet, since one mycelium often doesn't work more than once over the max health) but some units, especially catapults, are a bit tricky.
Upgrading to veteran sets the hp back to their original hp + 5.
The most interesting part about that is that the effect of units with lower health dealing less damage and taking more damage works here as well, just the other way around. From what i've seen they can do up to 4 times their damage that (meaning a giant could do up to 20 damage in one hit, with enough health even against Shields behind City-Walls).
Could definitely be an interesting Video if they do not fix it that fast.
@Just a boomer eyeball 42 isn't the answer to that. A knight with 70 HP can do 15 damage to a Doomux (2 Defense) without defense bonus. But yes with the right amount of HP it should be possible.

@Just a boomer eyeball Ok I just did some Math with the damage formulas and since there is the constant number 4,5 in there the max damage you can do is 4,5 times the Attack Stat. When you change your max health the only thing changing is the influence of the defence of the defender. When the health get's high enough it just makes the "attackForce" so big that the "defenceForce" slowly looses it effect. E.g. a catapult has 0 defence from the beginning, that's why it always takes 4,5 times the attack stat of the attacker damage. The result is rounded (,5 is rounded up). Knight would do up to 15,75=16 damage. The most damage anything could do would be a boosted Giant -> 24,75=25 damage.
@Just a boomer eyeball Boosting just adds 0,5 to the attack stat. For a knight 3,5->4 which means a maximum of 18 damage. Also it's just for one hit.
@Just a boomer eyeball yes. Only Giants, Veterans with 20 HP, Shields and Swords with normal defense bonus or units with fortification behind a city wall (and some of the special tribe units) will stay alive.
17:27 As a Cymanti main, no, Exidas don't suck... when used properly, not when used on the frontline against Oumaji rider spam lol, they definitely should've gone Kitons instead (especially since this version would've been pre-nerf)

17:27 Exidas don't suck at all. They are among the best ranged supports in the game- their damage is amazing, they spread poison and work in an AOE as well as the fact that they spread Algae and are the best counter to a naval rush.

And if u kill them within borders the enemy gets poisoned and viable to die to any unit die to spores
Literally today my friend tried to convince me that Oumaji is good and than this happens. Im starting to feel fate is real
You, my friend, have obviously never seen Exidas used correctly. They are amazing anti-naval units late game, with the splash poisen they deal helping to create algae bridges to bring your stronger units closer. They are also great at choke points in the case of continents maps with small connections, or anytime that lots of units are getting funneled through one point, as that same reasoning with the poisen splash damage applies here.

@@bungle9719 Phychi do a fraction of the damage and don't deal splash. They are also weak and very susceptible to knight chains on land. While I agree they are better in general Exida can be way better under the right circumstances.

If your opponent has an IQ of not a 5 year old then, forget about exidas, you will just get rekt
Ian is right. The exodus’s do extreme amounts of damage as well as poison, the smaller flying bugs do barely any damage at all
love seeing some hamu v bugs. one of the better matchups for oumaji imo, you can pressure the cymanti player and outexpand so easily. Solid gameplay, but i would've gotten more explorers in the early game to give yourself an opportunity to snipe their shaman.

I got excited when I saw the thumbnail because I thought gully was going to be playing cymanti :(
Some tribes have a difficult time building their economy, this is true of Cynamti and because the this, the player tried to build theirs up early.
However, they forgot to contend for space in the middle and bottom. This is even more critical in smaller maps because space is scarce.
Regardless of who won the battle in the North mid game, the other players neglect in the South would prove fatal for him later on.
Good game, tbh, doomux rush would be cool for the other opponent.

Im planning to buy a tribe to play multiplayer but im nervous about the fact that there not much people that plays this game even if there are there are not much people that buys a tribe so when i click the play button on multiplayer will it take so long to find a game?
It takes me 2 minutes to find a game tops, and that's with me specifying the game mode, map type, map size, and the turn time limit. You should be fine

I wonder if anyone has ever had a fight against bardur and every single tile was covered with soldiers super units are everywhere mindbenders mind bending ppl and knights eliminating like 20 catapults in 1 turn 1turn last 30min (this happened to me once and it was insane)

Hilarious about the game version
Your opponent should have sensed they were behind around the 10 min mark and had a priest at capital boosting defenders to the front. I mean at that time the whole game they knew you only had warriors and riders.
Is only cloak challenge to take cities a thing? Because i'd like it to be.
