Sorry for that late answer. I'm normally on another YT-Account. This ship was build by our own after blueprints. In 1/100 scale there is no kit that I'm aware of. The ship weights around 120kg and is something around 3,6m in length.
Hello, It's a very impressive work ! Congratulations !!! For the hull shape, did you started from existing plans of the ship or do you created them yourself ? It is very realistic...!
I have good news and I have bad news. First the Good news. That is a fantastic Model! Very well done (although wished it had better hanger deck detail), but non-the-less its awesome, and nice job on the build. Now the Bad news: Just so you are aware: you have the wrong Air Wing depicted on that ship. Those F-14s squadrons never served on the Nimitz. Ever. You have Tomcats from VF-31 "Tomcatters" with red tails and Felix the Cat. Also the F/A-18 Super Hornets with the "NF" on the tails never served on the Nimitz either. Neither one of those ever served on the USS Nimitz. But Like I said... still a cool model! And I like it!
Would have been cool if he did vf 84 jolly Rodgers I know for sure they were on Nimitz back when it was new my uncle served on her back in the late 70s early 80s not sure which I was pretty young but he has photos of them
Thanks for that information. We did know that this squadrons did now serve on the Nimitz. On the underside there is even a name of another carrier, I don't remember right now which it is. These planes are all bought kits an they come with decals like they are. The Hornets and Tomcats were even full colored and had the decals already attached. It's very hard to find plane models in 1/100 scale. We know that it's wrong, but we're living with that. The whole model sure has some room for improvement, but we think we did quite a good job on that.
Fast alles selber gebaut.
Good job but I am missing many details I am missing without offending and if you are honest you will receive the same you will agree with me but I repeat good work
Definitely there is room for improvement. The blueprints we had were from the state the Nimitz was originally launched and the blueprints were made in the '80s, so I guess they are not that good in detail
Sehr schöne Arbeit. Modellbau total.
Mein Kompliment. Flugzeugträger sind eh meine liebsten Modelle.
Incredible work and a beautiful model. Well done. Salute!
Impressive what the name of this kit and how much it cost. What is the weight of the boat or it longer

I don't know what to tell you, it's so beautiful, it's a space of art, I love it.
Incredible job!!!
Great! i think this model is biggest.

+Richard Longavenne Hey, thanks! We had a plan from the late 1980's/early '90s don't know exactly anymore.
Is these plans included hull lines ? Because I have plans for different views of this carrier but I never found hull lines to build the hull...
really beautiful ship.
Thank you!
neato!!! You even built the meatball!!!! Nice job!!

Great job...
Frage..
Respekt!
Can i get one
can it float on water
Of course it can float on water
bin echt beeindruckt von dem Modell
good ship but..for a 1/100 huge model, there is no any details in the hangar, quite a pity...even trumpeter's 1/350 scale has a hangar.
Beautiful work but the sound effects are rather annoying after a few seconds
Selbstgebaut? Geiles teil
Geil gemacht
the body of the ship is not really detailed but ill take it
