DUCT TAPE keeps drugstore palettes from breaking. As soon as I purchase the palette I duct tape the hinge side - the tape is flexible and makes the palette lasts.

Wow I live in Poughkeepsie and if someone gave me the opportunity to move out of NY I would be gone in a flash. Taxes are ridiculous, the state is practically run by the cesspool NYC because of the population not to mention the pretty lousy weather. I am originally from Denver, Colorado and miss it all the time. My husband is a NY born resident so trying to get him to move has been fruitless. My parents used to live in Chichester which is up the road from Phoenicia. Both are pretty close to Woodstock. The Catskill area is very nice. Wish you the best of luck moving there. It sounds like you have spent enough time to know if you will like it here plus having family is a plus. Safe travels with your move. Thanks for your take on favorites. Interested in that lash serum.

Leaving New York as a native after 64 years. Have been wanting to leave for the last 30 years but couldn’t because of jobs family etc. it’s awful here and can’t leave fast enough. I’m on Long Island but have been all over this state. I sure hope you researched this move well. Cost of living, crowds, traffic, weather all suck. I am genuinely concerned for you!

I love the town of Woodstock. We were there on a motorcycle trip last summer. If you haven't been, you must visit the town of Bethel and go through the Woodstock museum. So much fun.

Welcome to N.Y State Tamara! I love the Catskills and I spent many a summer vacation there with the fondest of memories. I have a brother who lives in a small town just north of Syracuse. I’m 64 just found your channel. I am a huge Sydney Grace love her I own every single one of their pallets I know I’m a hoarder with eyeshadow palettes wait for their Christmas in July sale. It can’t be beat up to 50% off on everything certain days and they are just such an awesome company. Great, Customer Service just is my favorite brushes are REPHR. I do love alter ego I’ve stopped buying the high end and I wait for alter ego. I’m not a TH-camr or an influencer and I have so many eyeshadow palettes. I don’t think I need anymore and I do own the Sydney Grace singles to dupe that, I needed nude palette. Again, I love love love Sydney Grace❤❤
I have serious dry eye from using prostaglandin containing ladh serums. I've had best luck with Rodan and Fields lash boost. I've also spent a few thousand dollars for my dry eye. No more prostaglandin.
MAC PALETTES - if you visit a Mac store you can make your own palette. These are my favorite since I can replace each pan individually (also available online).

Just stopped in the town of Rhinebeck NY overnight on our way to VT. Loved the town. If you're near there and craving real French Bistro food, I recommend Le Petit Bistro. But, be warned, it's very popular so you'll need to make an online reservation. Enjoy your move and the relatively mild climate.

Would love to see a video on moving advice, house hunting from another state and mistakes to avoid. (Hoping you don’t have many). Essence mascara…loved the green one, but it flaked on me. Didn’t like the wand on the purple one, but loved the formula…did not flake. So I switched the green wand to use in the purple formula. Perfection!
Wonderful video. I love the L'oreal Voluminous Primer and Mascara. I have tried so many but these are my favs. I like the Essence Brow Gel, it has a nice small brush. Wishing you all the best on your move.

Thank you for the video. Good luck on your move. You can divide and dig up part of your plants there and take them with you. I have done it in plastic grocery store bags. You could put them in clumps in an open top box. You get to take some of your flowers with you and leave the main plant behind. If not collect some flowers and dry them for the seeds
Your moving to my late husbands area. His family all live in the area & his father is still living and has lived there his entire life. My late husband left the area when he went into the Air force, but I enjoyed visiting the area, as my father was from Philadelphia. It's beautiful up there. Have a safe move! See you again soon.

Have you tried the Benefit 24-hour brow setting gel? It's clear and I know you mentioned tinted but I LOVE this gel setter. Perfect hold, never flaky, perfect brush. It holds better then Anastasia brow gel and the brush is like a comb. I'm just obsessed with it. Anytime there is a sale I buy one! ❤

Hi Tamara congrats on your house move - an exciting change for you and a new chapter in your life. A few of my eye favourites are: Benefit they're real mascara - a long term love. It just always performs with no flaking, smudging and looks good at the end of the day. I have watery eyes caused by rosacea (dry eye) and tubing mascaras break down with my tears, but waterproof mascara is drying and difficult to remove daily. This stays on, removes without too much trouble and gives a pretty lash look on me. Revlon eyeliners for the tightline - stays on and are affordable Benefit gimme brow - shade one is my perfect shade and I just use this on my brows most days. I like their skinny pencil if I want an evening/more glam look, but I usually just use the brow gel. I do tint my brows and get them threaded btw. Kiko shadow sticks - just as good as BB, LM or by Terry and much better priced. They are available in a plethora of shades too. Kiko water shadows - one and done shadows you can use wet or dry. My favourite is light taupe and I use it a LOT. Eyeshadow palettes - Viseart is my favourite brand of eyeshadow and I have a few of theirs i love and use all the time eg Lilas quad, violette quad, cashmerie palette, cool neutral mattes and the violette entendu are my most used. I also enjoy the Dior backstage cool neutrals palette as a great everyday option. ND retro glam palette - those greens and khaki toned neutrals really work for me. Huda rose quartz - those so pretty mauves, lilacs and pinks look great on my ultra pale/cool toned skin, grey eyes and ashier blonde hair. There you go a few must haves for me and yes I'm probably going to buy the new ND palette too. Best wishes.

Wow I live in Poughkeepsie and if someone gave me the opportunity to move out of NY I would be gone in a flash. Taxes are ridiculous, the state is practically run by the cesspool NYC because of the population not to mention the pretty lousy weather. I am originally from Denver, Colorado and miss it all the time. My husband is a NY born resident so trying to get him to move has been fruitless. My parents used to live in Chichester which is up the road from Phoenicia. Both are pretty close to Woodstock. The Catskill area is very nice. Wish you the best of luck moving there. It sounds like you have spent enough time to know if you will like it here plus having family is a plus. Safe travels with your move. Thanks for your take on favorites. Interested in that lash serum.

Leaving New York as a native after 64 years. Have been wanting to leave for the last 30 years but couldn’t because of jobs family etc. it’s awful here and can’t leave fast enough. I’m on Long Island but have been all over this state. I sure hope you researched this move well. Cost of living, crowds, traffic, weather all suck. I am genuinely concerned for you!
Best wishes for your new move. It’s amazing to me that your background is not boxes!!!! As for the multitudes of makeup choices-I’m resetting some life goals-live long enough to wear the stuff I’ve purchased. And perhaps find places to wear make up to besides doctor visits. 😂

I love the town of Woodstock. We were there on a motorcycle trip last summer. If you haven't been, you must visit the town of Bethel and go through the Woodstock museum. So much fun.

Welcome to N.Y State Tamara! I love the Catskills and I spent many a summer vacation there with the fondest of memories. I have a brother who lives in a small town just north of Syracuse. They have a big state fair every summer. Your going to love it and as you said Manhattan is just a train ride away. It'll also be exciting creating a new garden. Good luck!

I’m 64 just found your channel. I am a huge Sydney Grace love her I own every single one of their pallets I know I’m a hoarder with eyeshadow palettes wait for their Christmas in July sale. It can’t be beat up to 50% off on everything certain days and they are just such an awesome company. Great, Customer Service just is my favorite brushes are REPHR. I do love alter ego I’ve stopped buying the high end and I wait for alter ego. I’m not a TH-camr or an influencer and I have so many eyeshadow palettes. I have serious dry eye from using prostaglandin containing ladh serums. I've had best luck with Rodan and Fields lash boost. I've also spent a few thousand dollars for my dry eye. No more prostaglandin.
MAC PALETTES - if you visit a Mac store you can make your own palette. These are my favorite since I can replace each pan individually (also available online).

Just stopped in the town of Rhinebeck NY overnight on our way to VT. Loved the town. If you're near there and craving real French Bistro food, I recommend Le Petit Bistro. But, be warned, it's very popular so you'll need to make an online reservation. Enjoy your move and the relatively mild climate.

So I came back here to see the actual pencil you recommended (clicking on link) and it took me to it on Amazon ... a pencil that isn't carried in the stores around here. I bought both blonde and taupe pencils and am so glad! Love them. I always benefit from your reviews.

MAC makes a really nice brow get. Looks like a mascara. Brush is small and gets all the fine hairs.

Would love to see a video on moving advice, house hunting from another state and mistakes to avoid. (Hoping you don’t have many). Essence mascara…loved the green one, but it flaked on me. Didn’t like the wand on the purple one, but loved the formula…did not flake. So I switched the green wand to use in the purple formula. Perfection!
Wonderful video. I love the L'oreal Voluminous Primer and Mascara. I have tried so many but these are my favs. I like the Essence Brow Gel, it has a nice small brush. Wishing you all the best on your move.

Thank you for the video. Good luck on your move. You can divide and dig up part of your plants there and take them with you. I have done it in plastic grocery store bags. You could put them in clumps in an open top box. You get to take some of your flowers with you and leave the main plant behind. If not collect some flowers and dry them for the seeds

Your moving to my late husbands area. His family all live in the area & his father is still living and has lived there his entire life. My late husband left the area when he went into the Air force, but I enjoyed visiting the area, as my father was from Philadelphia. It's beautiful up there. Have a safe move! See you again soon.

Have you tried the Benefit 24-hour brow setting gel? It's clear and I know you mentioned tinted but I LOVE this gel setter. Perfect hold, never flaky, perfect brush. It holds better then Anastasia brow gel and the brush is like a comb. I'm just obsessed with it. Anytime there is a sale I buy one! ❤

Hi Tamara congrats on your house move - an exciting change for you and a new chapter in your life.
A few of my eye favourites are:
Benefit they're real mascara - a long term love. It just always performs with no flaking, smudging and looks good at the end of the day. I have watery eyes caused by rosacea (dry eye) and tubing mascaras break down with my tears, but waterproof mascara is drying and difficult to remove daily. This stays on, removes without too much trouble and gives a pretty lash look on me.
Revlon eyeliners for the tightline - stays on and are affordable
Benefit gimme brow - shade one is my perfect shade and I just use this on my brows most days. I like their skinny pencil if I want an evening/more glam look, but I usually just use the brow gel. I do tint my brows and get them threaded btw.
Kiko shadow sticks - just as good as BB, LM or by Terry and much better priced. They are available in a plethora of shades too.
Kiko water shadows - one and done shadows you can use wet or dry. My favourite is light taupe and I use it a LOT.
Eyeshadow palettes - Viseart is my favourite brand of eyeshadow and I have a few of theirs i love and use all the time eg Lilas quad, violette quad, cashmerie palette, cool neutral mattes and the violette entendu are my most used.
I also enjoy the Dior backstage cool neutrals palette as a great everyday option.
ND retro glam palette - those greens and khaki toned neutrals really work for me.
Huda rose quartz - those so pretty mauves, lilacs and pinks look great on my ultra pale/cool toned skin, grey eyes and ashier blonde hair.
There you go a few must haves for me and yes I'm probably going to buy the new ND palette too. Best wishes.
