Bob Barker treatment: At the end of The Price is Right, when Bob Barker was the host he would always end the episode with “…please remember to spay and neuter your pets…”
I didn't see anyone say this, but the King turned into a frog because he's the Frog Prince. A few hints are from when he and the Queen recalled when they used to walk by the lilypond and had their first kiss, their bedroom was themed green with lily pads, and there was a tapestry with the King sitting at a lilypond.
If no one else mentioned it, the fairy tale of Puss in Boots is actually about the titular character killing an ogre, so that's why he's the obvious choice for the hitman
"They got OJ in this?!" 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you! So many miss the white bronco joke it makes me feel old 😅 Shrek 2 is my fave of the series. Though, I always wondered what Dragon changed into while Donkey was transformed 🤔
Writer and director Andrew Adamson stated that Dragon, being Donkey's true love, turned into a talking Pegasus who had a lot to say. In the final draft her part ended up being cut because it wouldn't have added much to the plot and it would've been difficult to hide her pregnancy
"What about my Miranda rights? You're supposed to say: "You have the right to remain silent." Nobody said I have the right to remain silent!" "Donkey, you HAVE the right to remain silent. Fast Friends Fact: John Cleese and Dame Julie Andrews recorded most of their scenes together at the same time, an unusual practice for an animated movie. Bowie was so impressed with this rendition, that he provided backing vocals on it.
No need to apologize for "making it sad" in your Shrek intro. It was a very genuine and honest reaction when remembering your friend. I appreciated it, and it is ABSOLUTELY the reason I subscribed. There are a lot of reactors that I watch regularly, but you are only the 2nd one I have bothered to subscribe to. I love your reactions! Keep it up👏👏👏

I think your dog was embarrassed by your “can you imagine what that room smells like….” Question. 😂 Right after you said it the dog went to hide under the blanket.
There's an after credits scene where it's revealed that dragon was pregnant and that's why she was acting the way Donkey described at the beginning of the movie.
Did I cry at the first reaction? Yes. But they were bittersweet tears, over the memory of your friend ❤️ Shrek 2 is one of my favorites, they out did themselves with this one and again, the music was perfect!!!
Up chocolate creek without a popsicle stick Or Up shit creek without a paddle. It took me until watching this to catch that, and I remember seeing this in theatres
JL, I’m glad I’m not the only one that instantly reverts to the Short Circuit series when they hear I Need a Hero. Shows our age too. Great reaction as always brother, keep ‘em coming!!
Woody Harrelson is one of my favorites too! Have you seen Kingpin with Woody, Bill Murray and Randy Quaid? There's definitely some humor that's on the raunchy side, but that movie makes me laugh every time I watch it! I'd love to see you react to that one!
Speaking of John Cleese, I know someone has mention Monty Python already in the comments and I know Holy Grail is on the list, but go outside that rabbit hole as well and if you haven’t seen it, watch A Fish Called Wanda. First film to have officially documented someones death attributed to laughter during a screening (Danish audiologist named Ole Bentzen died while laughing during a screening. The official cause of death was heart fibrillation, which may have been caused by an increased heart rate due to extended laughter.) It stars Cleese, Michael Palin (also of Mounty Python) Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kevin Kline. One of the funniest movies.
There is an after credit scene about Donkey you missed. I also wanted to say I have been enjoying you videos and you don’t need to apologize for your emotions. I am glad you are feeling better. 😃
thanks for another great reaction. This is my favourite of the Shrek films, and the soundtrack is really does bring everything to life. your dog cracked me up, by burrowing under the blanket when you said ' Imagine what that room smells like..' you guys take care.
Yep, definitely enjoyed this! Did you catch the scene after the credits? If not, you definitely gotta. I've never been able to look at Pinocchio the same way since I saw this 😂 And I've never heard anyone reference Johnny 5 from that song! 🤖 I need to go watch those sometime, haven't seen them since they first came out.
Wondering just how gross fictional characters smell during sex ... this is why I subscribe Was your burrito good? We need more burrito talk. What kind of burritos you think Shrek eats? Salted fish with black garlic and bog algae? That was Joan Rivers (R.I.P.) I actually have never cared for Shrek at all, but you make these fun for me. Thanks!
Funny you said that about Donkey saying 1000 words only minutes into the movie. Eddie Murphy did a movie called A Thousand Words, it's really good if you wanna check it out. Love your commentary, you're hilarious!! Your pup pups are so sweet & cute!! 😊
Really enjoyed your reaction, you had me laughing along with you. They actually gave Puss in Boots a movie of his own, which I thought was excellant. You might want to check it out when you're done with the Shrek movies.
This movie is great! I love the 1st 2 shrek movies. In my opinion it goes down hill after this. The after credit scenes for the 1st two movies are great too. You should definitely check them out. Far far away Idle has to be 1 of my favorite movie jokes and viewers got to actually vote online afterwards.
What I really love about this movie and what makes it my ALL-TIME favorite Shrek movie is that it's packed with a bunch of cultural references, some of which you may have recognized: - The part at 4:11 where Shrek and Fiona are kissing on the beach as the wave crashes onto them is a nod to the famous beach kissing scene in "From Here to Eternity" (1953) with Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr. - The glowing ring falling onto Fiona's finger is a nod to Lord of the Rings. - Fiona wiping mud off of Shrek's lips and kissing him while he's upside-down is an homage to the famous upside-down kiss in "Spiderman" (2002). - During Puss's enterance, the part at 14:33 where he bursts out of Shrek's shirt is a reference to the famous alien chestburster scene in "Alien" (1979). - Puss grabs his hat just as the potion room door closes down on him, a nod to the iconic hat-grab scene in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984) when Indy, Willie, and Short Round are leaving the spike chamber. - As Mongo sinks into the moat while breaking into the castle, he says to Gingy, "Be good". This is a famous line in "E.T. the Extra Terrestrial" (1982). - At 6:32, the song Donkey is singing as they leave Shrek's swamp towards Far Far Away is the theme to the famous 1950s Western TV show "Rawhide" with 20-year old Clint Eastwood. - There are two Wizard of Oz references in this movie: The first at 10:05 where Fairy Godmother is floating in a bubble is a reference to Glinda floating in a bubble when she meets Dorothy in Munchkinland. The second where Donkey screams "I'm melting" when it starts raining is a reference to the Wicked Witch's "I'm melting" scene. - KNIGHTS is, of course, parodying the famous police TV show COPS. Also, the "white Ford Bronco" joke is referencing O.J. Simpson's white Ford Bronco during his infamous 1994 police chase on the LA freeways. - Pinnocho hanging on strings as he goes to rescue Shrek, Donkey, and Puss from the dungeon is referencing the famous scene in "Mission Impossible" (1996). - During the Livin' La Vida Loca finale, Puss sits in a chair and a shower of water rains over his body, which is parodying the famous dance scene in "Flashdance" (1983). - Friar's Fat Boy, the fast food restaurant that Fairy Godmother stops at while talking to Harold is a parody to the famous California restaurant chain, Bob's Big Boy. - Farbucks is, of course, parodying Starbucks. And Burger Prince is referencing Burger King. - The Far Far Away sign in the background is, of course, parodying the Hollywood sign. - Far Far Away is modeled in a Hollywood/Beverly Hills environment, so all the fairytale characters in Far Far Away is a parody of famous celebrities and bachelors in Beverly Hills. Also, there are famous Hollywood streets used in Shrek 2, like Sacks Fifth Avenue (Shrek 2 = Saxxon Fifth Avenue).
Ooh! If you haven't seen John Cleese outside of Harry Potter, I highly recommend jumping down the rabbit hole of Monty Python. Total british ridiculousness
