How the guns moved to look at the malfunctioning lasers to signify the pilot in his neural helmet was a GREAT detail
Whenever I see the Marauder crest that hill and then go for the DFA, all I can hear is:
"Hey Clanner!"

Kinda mixed though. Feels slightly stiff and for from how they move in lore.
But I feel paired with the sound effects it was trying to hit MW2 players nostalgia and it is neat seeing it in a modern animation.
Even more so with Stackpole style explosion at the end.
@@R4V3-0N Wasn't their movement relative to pilot experience too? I mean the Marauder pilot was clearly a professional, the clanners a bit less so.
But too much weight can sorta negate the point of using them instead of tanks.

@@Stein871 theres a LOT of marauder (series 1s) that have other weapons on their head... that wasnt a mad2... that was a 75t mad1

@@Stein871 To clarify this is indeed a standard 75 ton Marauder, based on the Marauder-5M chassis with some slight modifications. I always imagine that due to the requirements of mission parameters or simply the attrition of technology in the Inner Sphere each 'mech would have some degree of alteration. In this case they basically stripped a little armor off to squeeze in a pair of CT/chin mounted small lasers.
i wish we had more fan animations like this for battletech/mechwarrior.

Games Workshop has severely limited what 40K fans can create, so there's now waves of 40K fans coming over to Battletech and likely other brands, so we will likely see an upsurge in Fanimations.

That was impressive. I like how you captured the core of the Battletech strategies; like cockpit shots, melee (rarely shown in the newer games) and using self destruct as a weapon.
Mechwarrior 5 actually has melee now.

This was really well done. It was nice hearing those vintage sounds, seeing my precious Raven, even as a redshirt, the contrast between Clan and Sphere tactics, you even made an Elemenal properly fast. Thanks.

The battle grids, and planetary over shots... are amazingly done. But Ive just always been a fan of your neon wireframe skinning.
Not sure if thats an easy effect or not. but it certainly is an visually pleasing effect, and application of it.
Also see you have been really good, at looking over your scenes, and placing terrain in most scenes to remove the uncanny vally of animating on a flat surface. There was only one particularly glaring “set” in the whole animation. Over all glad to see you improving by leeps and bounds and not just feeling trapped making lore videos for a demanding public!

The tone of this video reminds me of D.C. Bruins' videos, in that it created character and personality through visuals alone, without any lines or dialogue. You do great work!
Got to give mad props, not just for the animation work, but the sound - better dynamism and feeling than more movies and animes I care to remember!

Awesome job! That's Battletech as we played it in the '90s. We didn't have such good animations, it was only in our heads. We had many epic battles like this...
She's been my favorite mech that got me into btech when I was in highschool back in the 80's. Got me into MWO, and to this day is my favorite. Thank you!

I don't think I've seen a marauder do a DfA attack before. In our Mechwarrior games, the cost of rebuilding the legs was just too damn high.
But then, we had the marauder II. For a mech built with 3025 tech, it was pretty good.
And now the thoughts running through the head of that poor mad dog pilot:

Inclusion of Melee, Energy, Ballistics, and DFA; the only thing missing is the use of missiles? - Nice touches
Infantry desperately fighting despite being caught in the open - Yep that is battletech
Jade Falcon as the clanners - OH, I like Icing on my Cake Too
Elemental Pilot having absolute faith in his equipment and not fearing anything - Heh, I mean you can still die if you try hard enough
Savagely beating more than half your enemies to death and using arm flip - Priceless.
Very impressive and enjoyable to watch! :) I see a lot of MW2 inspiration and I believe I heard a MW4 gear sound when the mech speeds up - very nice!
Voice acting could use some work as the voices were hard to hear at points but apart from that great work and glad to see you improving.

I'd like to take some pics and 3d print it if I can .....I'm doing the same with your shadow cat ..frame by frame from the video I've scanned for as much detail as I can with the software I have ...3d printing will take around 31 hours for the shadow cat .... all credit given to you of course

2:17 Now that is one way to deal a Mad Dog. It's weakness is it's lack of Close Range Armament.
The Marauder Pilot used his Armored Gauntlets to Pummel the Clan Mech into the Ground. Thats a Smart move.

Can just Imagine damaged cresting that hill saying on an open com " Hey Clanner I'm not done with you yet". Processed to hit jump jets. Fantastic vid did well capturing the scale and weight. Can imagine Hanson broke that Elementals spine.

Every time I watch a new one of these I dream of a remastered, modernized Mech Warrior 2 game that could look and play like this with the slightly cartoony graphics but hard-hitting, lethal, and realistic combat. And VR capable.
