Back the 70s I always put my money into Chassis, Motor, axle, and Transmision. I guess a fine coat of paint may make them roll faster. Maybe?
But if it looks like it is a 10 mile tow away from the junk yard. It might still be there the next day.

If you're building an "old-style art car", spring for the old school looking tires. Radials look terrible on anything & everything open-wheeled. Like you forgot to finish it and were just like "well, I just wanted to drive it to the show,".

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.(BABBVEN LAWS)

Thanks for watching and replying. I agree with you that is where its headed. I think its going to be harder at least in the USA to phase combustion cars out completely. And people will be paying the same amount of money to charge up their vehicle as they would of with gas. But, maybe it will be better for the environment???? Or it will replace it as doing damage to it.

Completely awful, why people love old cars trucks even old homes then go right about changing everything that they love about that purchase they made, it truly escapes me? Rat rods are a perfect example, only exception is if the car had many parts out already, even then though.
