see, she is an African American woman that I can admire, she made efforts to integrate with the community, unlike other African Americans down in the Gambia except for bla xit, this lady made her whole household integrate with the Ghanian community, that's how it should be! you are the one going to Africa, you should be the one adapting to Africa, not Africa adapting to you! I wish more African Americans could follow this great woman example.

Her daughter is so pretty. 🥰😭 Such a cute little princess. And her friends are adorable too, so sweet. Wonderful mother let her daughter have this great experience. Hopefully she can return to Ghana soon and continue her studies, once they save some more money and move back.

Thanks. It's very true. The emotional, cultural and social integration are very essential in the child's development. She'd never forget that experience. She's safe, happy and accepted by her friends. Most important. Even the other kids looked equally happy being with her not forgetting how enthusiastic the teachers and the atmosphere too is. Splendid all around!

Excuse me... our children are POWERFUL! This woman has done nothing different than the African people that come to America & put their children in school here 🤷🏽‍♀️. In fact, she didn’t completely submit to the “culture” because I noticed she didn’t have her daughter’s hair cut off like a boy just to go to public school.

Good for her, however, I did notice she said her daughters education (English, math, ect.) went down. It didn’t improve while attending this school. I also noticed that as much as she said she embraced the culture, the mom didn’t allow them to cut her daughter’s hair down like a boy for school like all the other girls. It’s nice that she made friends & enjoyed herself. I hope she won’t be put behind in school when they return to the States.
