I am pondering this for the past year. Will be building now subframe to carry all my PSU + drivers which will double as dampener. Other option was on moving frame but have too much going on already there 🤪 This consideration that I have currently is to mount them on the static monitor arm, only issue I have is I want to be able to easily disconnect all cables between monitor assembly and rig, which seems little hard to do with so many cables…
As you seen on the video is doable, but then it will add more weight on the front of the rig as well... and there is the issue with the connectors that are not rated for vibrations 😮
@ Yep, exactly! I will try the lower frame approach in a week or two and we will see (lower frame is static, actuators will be mounted to it with Eluflex dampers so vibrations should be minimal). Have to mount 6 drivers so it will be quite fun, also have to deal with cable ways towards the moving part of the rig…
