@@cynkauvanyau2059 because hardens presence turned russ into his lakers self lol. bro just sat in the corner and couldnt run the offense as much as he did in the 2023 playoffs, which is why he had 3 30 point games
I wouldn't say they were better without Harden because they did become one of the best teams in the league for a stretch. I would say acquiring Harden didn't really allow The Clippers to strengthen some of their glaring weaknesses, which were exposed more as the season progressed. Defensive rebounding was a glaring weakness which wasn't addressed, athleticism was another weakness which wasn't addressed, and improving the backup center position was not adequately addressed in my view. Also losing length on the wings with the departures of Morris Sr, Batum, and Covington, made The Clippers a smallish team. Having Harden, Russ, Powell, and Mann as key rotation pieces left them with only Zu, Kawhi, and PG as big or long top rotation players. Theis, Plumlee, and Tucker simply were not a very good rotation of bigs.... If they just move Morris Sr and keep Batum, Covington, and Martin Jr, i think they would have had a better chance without Kawhi in the first round. It's hard to really gauge how good The Clippers could have been with Russ in 2022/2023 because both PG and Kawhi were not available or how good The Clippers could have been with James Harden, because Kawhi was clearly not ready to play in games two and three.
No doubt absolutely 100 correct he was playing great until they went and got James Harden Russell went to the bench is minutes got cut way down James Harden play one good game in the playoffs then he fizzled out after that James Harden playing 37 minutes from Russell was playing like 15 minutes and then the last game when they got eliminated he paid 9 minutes that takes away from your confidence so they really almost did them just like the Lakers at the end will be better in Denver
At this stage, only his blind faith fans will see him making positive contributions and deserve to remain in this league despite his horror stats in this year’s playoff.
wow he's still soooo fast and explosive
Lol just waiting for ya'll to see how he plays with Jokić and good coaching next year. It's gonna be a whole different Russ.
literally what y’all said after he joined the clipper

Westbrook the goat fr
Goat for scamming other people. Goat in tricking other people into thinking he is a good basketball player. GOAT for playing for opposing team.

They were better without Harden. Just saying 😅
Westbrick shot historically bad in playoff. No, those early games against Spurs and Blazers didnt meant a damn thing about Russ.

For the Mavs, yeah. Not for Clippers.

He will do much better on the nuggets, they have more ball distributors than ball dominant players
