This video discusses a typical day as an automation technician in a food factory, automation, instrumentation, and electrical technician all have very similar job duties.
I have been doing this type of work for 7 years now, and have a channel dedicated to people getting into instrumentation as a career. I really appreciate the support.
The video discuses job satisfaction, physical requirements, calibration and typical repairs. I hope you enjoy the video.
If you have any question or other video request please leave a comment, I’ll try to respond to all of you guys!

what type of knowledge would you recommend to obtain while becoming an electrical instrumentation technician in the production food industry
You mentioned valves. Do you rebuild them as well? I know some places have valve shops. As an inst tech where i work we rebuild valves also. Sliding stem and rotary
No, man, I never did that. One of the places I worked at did have other instrument techs that focused on plant utilities & they rebuilt valves. I've always done calibrations and focused on controls. Feel like instrumentation means a lot of different things and a lot of different jobs
