My little green Senegal, Forrest, is ALWAYS interested in what your green little monster has to say. We love watching your (his) videos here in the San Francisco Bay Area. 👋
My Kitty bug is about 15 years old, and adopted her when she was being weened in the incubator. I wish I had a chance to spend more time during her younger years. Unfortunately I got her around the time I was thrown into chaos in my family, as well as when I was trying to learn to be an adult with getting my first job and finishing school. I was also doing alot of dance classes and performing in musical theater. I love her to death still, and she's picked up a few fun games that we still enjoy (she LOVES playing peek-a-boo!) . I feel like she's my war partner. She's seen sides of me that I'm not proud of, and she's learned how to grow with me. Quaker parrots are such bad ass companions. We still love eachother, even though we've both been through many changes. I had to be away from her for a time when I needed to find a safe place to live, while she stayed with my mom. And yet, she still accepted me when I could move her in a few years later. She's a total diva, but I think she deserves the crown 😅💚 Pluto is so precious! He reminds me of Kitty when she's being cute 😍
Oh she has definitely been a great little trooper by the sounds of things. I think when we are younger we don’t quite realise the longevity of owning a parrot. I certainly didn’t! Can’t believe I’m still repeating the same silly words 16 years later. Hahaha. But don’t look back with regret. You managed to find a safe place for her when you needed to find a safe place for you and rather than give her up when the time was right your brought home. Sadly many people don’t. xx
What is the best diet for a Quaker to avoid fatty liver? How much and how many times do you feed each day? You are very conscientious bird owner. The bond between the 2 of you is amazing.
Thanks Nikki, Personally I feed Pluto a quality pellet diet and then add in some fresh veggies and fruit. He is a VERY picky eater and I have gone through many brands after his beloved roudybush was no longer available in my country. He has finally decided he doesn't mind zupreem natural pellets. :)
My quaker loves watching Pluto. He has the cutest Aussie accent.
awww so happy you guys love him. xx
No one:
