It’s true. I have buddy’s that lie about there scores all the time and never live up to it when I’m playing with them. It’s just funny that TH-camrs are doing it also.

Respect to Riggs for doing this, but MAN did this show his actual golf level. A course he's familiar with against a guy who has never played in front of cameras before. If he didn't hole that shot out of the bunker (amazing shot btw) and pick up MULTIPLE times due to conceding, he'd realistically be looking at a round in the high 90's to low 100's imo. You can't judge any golfer on a single 18, but this was an abysmal showing
yeah the unofficial score of an 85 is completely laughable, he picked up on 1 hole laying 5 like 75 yards out in the jungle, he needs to have a come to jesus moment where he admits that he’s not a single digit handicapper
19:03 he picks up after losing the hole but still putts for bogey and you can see he missed it at the end too. Stroke play he’d be getting smoked

I think Riggs calculates his handicap based off of the foreplay scramble scores. I have never seen anyone with a sub 5 handicap consistently not be able to get off of the tee.
Not to mention he’s in trouble every hole.

A lot of TH-camrs especially American ones seem to include putt gimmes and Mulligan's in handicap counting rounds. Well at least that's what I've noticed.

I think he is grounding his driver behind the ball and his wrists are so loose that when he starts his takeaway, the drag from the ground causes his arms to move back faster than the club head LOL
His hands visibly drop inches before he takes the club back. He's never off single figures.

Doug plays exactly how I expect an 8 to play: Mostly pretty good golf with some bad golf sprinkled in.

The difference is pretty evident. Credit to Riggs for doing this though.

Well, that was entertaining. Respect to Riggs for taking on a h8ter and to Mr. Doug for accepting the challenge. They both were very respectful and made it fun to watch. Mr. Doug started out hot and then cooled a bit and that hole out on #2 by Riggs was amazing. Good win by Mr. Doug but he had to fight for it. Lastly, I really appreciate Riggs' attitude and demeanor. He never seems to get rattled, loses his cool, and stays positive.
Love what this says about the game of golf. Two "enemies" or opponants can respect one another and compete honorably through this great game!

I think the longest putt Doug had in the first 4 holes was about 12 feet for birdie. He was looking like a scratch golfer for 4 holes. Middle of the fairway, iron inside 12 feet and two putts for par. Golf looks easy when you play like that.
And Riggs looked like a 14 handicap claiming a 9. lol soooo what’s your point exactly?

Bob Does Sports is the best and it’s not even close. Maybe not the best skill wise (besides Fat Perez) but by far the most humble, relatable, and entertaining. They don’t fake a thing and deserve every ounce of success they’ve had. Truly the people’s champs.

So I think my two favorite Barstool eps are the Teeth of the Dog drinking game and this one. Couldn’t have been two more different vibes but super entertaining in their own unique ways. The fun of buddy trip golf and the grind of a grudge match.
Kudos to Riggs for putting himself out there but honestly a lot here to validate the haters. As a former 3-6 handicap myself who lost it with the driver and shot up to a 13 that’s basically what I’m seeing here - a true 4 has to drive it in play just about every time, make a lot of 6-10 footers and eliminate the 3 putts.
Look forward to seeing more of this series & hopefully it’s good motivation for game improvement for Riggs.

Riggs is no single digit handicap. More like a 10-13 handicap. This video and many others prove it. Doug is a class act. Big win for him, on a course he’s never played and on camera for the first time. Love the “unofficial scores” too when Riggs picked up on multiple holes, already on bogey or double bogey and he’s no where near the green yet 😂. Cmon man. This should be a regular series with all the foreplay guys!

For the premise being lying about handicaps, maybe the format should be stroke play to see what Riggs actually shoots?

I think if Riggs could working his game out of the tee he generally would be a 4 marker. His short game "not pretty to watch" but works and he's generally solid from 150 and in.
Maybe do a series to "fix Riggsys driver" we all loved when Trent got lesson's, was great watching.
Gotta love how 2 guys can punch each other in the gut online a couple of times and then have a civil match, kudos to both of these guys!

RIGGS CLOSE THE CLUB FACE!!! EVERY SINGLE SHOT YOU MISS RIGHT HOW HAS THIS BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS😂😂
If he closed the club face, he would be doing two things wrong. He has a classic straight slice which means his club face is square at impact, but his swing path is to the left of his club face. He needs to swing out further to the right. Closing the club face would lead to pulls, pull fades and pull hooks. It might lead to better results, but could also cause trouble on the left side of the course instead of the right.
Two stand-up guys. Incredible course. What a great episode; this one will be tough to beat!

Great content this, hats off to Riggs. Doug is a dude I could play golf with all day, complimentary and encouraging even in a match against, chill and those first few holes was throwing darts
Why Match play? If you’re a low handicap (inherently consistent) you always wanna play stroke. In Match you be hitting 5 off the tee box and just pick up. In Stroke you can put up a quintuple bogey. Jumped to the last hole to see Riggs scrambling for double bogey. I’ll watch it I guess but this did nothing for his reputation.
Never understood the negative criticism of foreplay and hating on Riggs. He seems like a genuine guy and his short game is decent. Even pros have bad rounds at times. Riggs and Doug kept things respectful while battling it out. Says a lot about their character

Because when you’re at an advanced level of golf, handicap is taken seriously and these clowns roll in with their $5000 free clubs and lie to everybody when the proof is in the videos how horrible they truly are. Him saying he’s a 3 hc is wild and it drives golfers crazy cuz they didn’t spend 15 years on the game to get to a 3 all to listen to a 15 hc disrespect the hardwork they put into it. Has nothing to do with character, Riggs had to put on a happy face, he couldn’t be chucking his clubs into the woods cuz a true 3 hc doesn’t do that kinda shit. This 8 just wrecked a ‘3’ first time on camera with zero nerves. A 3 handicap will go out and still shoot a high 70’s even on his worst day.
They have access to every accessory, they got PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS giving them lessons and Riggs goes out and shoots what would be a mid to high 90’s score if they played all 18. He showed his true colors and confirmed he’s a fraud in this ONE video. Something tells me they did shoot all 18 and Riggs made a deal with the dude to just post 9 because Riggs shot in the high 90’s/low 100’s

The hate for Riggs is overboard sometimes. Mostly a bunch of guys like Doug grinding a 9-5 and just jealous they can't be doing what he's doing. But he probably is more like an 8 handicap.
That’s probably the point. Someone golfing everyday should be better than the 9-5ers
