    That's a lot of piglets alone. Pen 'em, feed 'em up, fatten' 'em up, and invite 'em in for dinner.

      You can have ours. That damn sow and her piglets are getting brave. There are about 40 running on our place. She has had 2 litters, and her juvenile bunch are 60% boars. As soon as we get pen setup, it is piggie roundup

      This wild hogs are detrimental to people’s property. Cute or ugly, these animals are a real problem. It has cost farmers in many cases their livelihood. I do not eat meat so eating them is for the population that are starving. My reasons for not eating meat are personal. We may need to plan a strategy to round up all of these hogs all over the US and the world. The people in Africa and other areas could be helped by having this meat. Famine and humanitarian efforts could stop the onslaught of world hunger, starvation, and poverty. Here is our chance to help with this problem world wide.

    Family farmer friends tell me it's impossible to keep wild adults, even the small ones can be dangerous and parasites, diseases, ect. are problematic.
    Even the VERY small are a double handful and the pens still need to be reinforced.

    How do you destroy them? I know there are way too many and they are destructive, but can they be eaten like any other pig? Food shelves, etc?

      @Xantank 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Some States allow you to eat them. But they risk having parasites and diseases

      They're delicious. Grain fed, due to their raiding of farmland. ANY swine will risk parasites and trichinosis if undercooked. It's the reason deep frying, cooking, etc was invented in the first place. Yummy.

    Movie idea: A space craft crashes to earth with a pig astronaut from another planet. He joins with his pig cousins in Texas raiding farms and ruining fields. Only the earth pigs are unable to communicate. Nevertheless he settles down with a sexy sow. He is captured by a pig trappers and is about to get the bullet, only to be saved by a beautiful wildlife biologist who wants to experiment on him. Alone in the laboratory with her he voices his objections. After initially being shocked by a talking pig, she being a good liberal befriends the space alien pig with a 125 IQ. She brings in a female pig to sate his masculine desires which results in a litter of talking pigs. Does she snuff this race of super pigs? Or does she let them go into the wild where they will breed and take over Texas. Spreading south into Mexico and north into Oklahoma? If you are a neophyte screenwriter -- take it!! As my gift to you!!!

    What do you do with those piglets, raised them to a more butcherable size? Or just kill them and have “piglet on a stick” for dinner?
