Well, now we know something that is different between Kate and Gabby! Kate NEVER slept as a baby, refused to do naps as a toddler, would wake up between 4-5am every day, and cried constantly as a newborn. Julia was our quiet, sleeping baby. 😂
@BarnBootsandCountryRoots I was the kid who would kick my mom before I was born until she would go horse back riding then I would stop. As a child I wouldn't sleep at night unless someone grabbed a horse and put me on and walk around until I fell asleep.
Awesome Sophie & Storm!!!! You two do great together. The rest of this whole behind the scenes day was too funny! The whole blanket pocket stuffing challenge, lol! It's like when people try their best to stuff everything on their person to pass carry-on limits for flights. I was already like thinking oh, they're up before the crack of dawn! That alone is funny! I would probably be completely grumbling and mute until noon. I didn't check but was Sam wearing flip flops? I mean, shorts while everyone else is wearing parka coats? Ha ha! Sooo, yeah I wear flip flops year round. It can be snowing, and I will wear flip flops if I can.
Lol! He didn't realize it was going to be so cold, so he worse shorts, lol! The trick to not being grouchy at an early horse show is to go to bed extra early! We act like it's a school night, and even sam goes to bed early!
Congratulations Sophie and storm, can't wait to see what fun you have in the other classes. Also congrats to all involved in the blanket pocket stuffing fiasco. 🤣🤣

Can I ask… does Sam have a hip or knee injury? His limp is far more significant in this video. I have a replaced hip with an underlying issue from when I broke it 17 years ago that causes me to limp pretty badly. I’m very self conscious of it. 😐
He climbed a ladder the day before the show and injured a bad knee .... again....he is scheduled for a knee replacement in November! He's had surgeries on his knees in the past.
Shoot Laura you look good for yur age and after 5 kids!! Good to see Gabby in the video!! @@margaretporkolab7166some horses just can’t grow longer manes or tails. My friend had an Arab with such a thin and short tail no matter what she did with it 🤷♀️
@@leahheapp oh my my Arabian had had a short tail too but l learnt what to do and care for it. And now it pastern long from being hock short. It took me a year but was done. Sorry your method did work. Adding yes there are some breeds that don't grow long tails like the true breed of Appaloosa which I owned them too.

I raised and showed Appaloosas at the National and World Championships I had a few who no matter the effort or time or quality of food and supplements fed just didn’t grow thick long tails or manes.. the mane wasn’t as big a problem because I just banded them but the tails were.. I did end up buying several tail fillers.

There is a couple things to improve on but overall you done well. This judge as you notice talked to the other girls most likely explained how to improve. @@DayByDayVlogs must our western judges are like this. My students and myself way back when learnt so much from judges. This way I encourage riders to ask the professionals and top showman to experience seniors. Yes their younger ones to but they have lots more to learn. And remember what works for them may not work for you. Mark everything down because who knows you may need it. Also i learnt through the years in the beginning that each judge has their own way of judging. You learn what each judge looks for and once you learn this you got it made. I have personally had to judges that were real tough and didn't let you get away with anything. Any till next time.🍗🍞🥧
I always wondered when people.said you should talk to the judge. English judges are far from the arena in a booth. It was super nice that the girls were able to get information from the judge!
