    Take recovery a day at a time Bri. You have been through a major trauma. Post op recovery is going well by the sounds of it. Your eating healthy taking your meds as prescribed and getting your walks in. You have an intact support system and everyone is pulling for you. Sending positive vibes and ❤️ 😊

    Such a beautiful place to be healing in. I know how comforting and peaceful it is just to watch it on video, it has to be so much deeper for you. To smell the fresh air, the aroma of pine on a breeze... May the healing spirit of the Lord be with you in each breath Bri...

    Hi Bri!
    I live in SLT and had an open awake craniotomy Nov 27, 2023 for a brain tumor. I am 2 months out and despite my worst fears during the healing process, I am feeling almost normal again! I have a picture of me sitting on a patio, face tilted toward the sun, in the Airbnb we stayed at near UCSF- just like this last shot of you doing the same. The warmth of sun on my face- something I’ll never take for granted again. Keep hope and let yourself be held by the love of others- it gets better. Sending you lots of love. -Amanda

Again….good vibes Bri….you are doing amazing!! 🤩 I hope when we get back up to SLT in May/June we get to introduce Lou Lou Bell to both Penny and Bella, maybe at Kiva? We are “elderly” but young at heart. ❤️ The love and life you both live….wow!! I wish I could attach a current pic of her…she is 2 years old now, but I am not all that savvy on TH-cam. I’ll try and upload one. Just so relieved and happy to see Bri doing so well and again our deepest of gratitude for your fantastic posts. Your channel lifts our spirits as we vicariously live through your adventures. We have “seasoned” bones now, so we are a tad more cautious of our activities. 😮👍 😂

    Ugh! You two are the best couple! I'm so grateful she didn't get an infection, my friend did with one of his surgeries and it wasn't a good situation. It's so wonderful seeing you feeling well enough to be walking in your neighborhood. In addition to the normal shock a body goes through with any post operative period, you are recovering from interruption within the computer to your body, your brain. All those sensitivities you are talking about will calm down and eventually go away.The Dexamethazone is a life saver but difficult to sleep when taking it and coming off of it. Enjoy our wonderful new snow. Penny & Bella so sweet loving on Mommy. Peace & comfort to the family. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    Hi Bri and Dan. My wife and I send our best wishes for a speedy recovery. We live in Reno and I had a craniotomy for an egg-sized left frontal meningioma last June. Now, a little over 7 months later, I feel great and all my symptoms are gone. I was pretty much back to feeling normal after a few weeks and especially after 30 days when I went off the anti-seizure medicine. The anti-seizure meds made me sleepy and as soon as I went off them it seemed that I got a huge energy boost. It sounds like your doing well and I just want to say "Don't rush it and get a lot of rest. It does get better and in no time you'll be back to normal."

    • @tahoemountainlife
      @tahoemountainlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Bri, you look like you're doing a LOT better. I know it takes time to recover, but it looks like you and your support team are doing everything right. Great public service from you all and to preach patience when recovering from such a surgery. You're all great!

    Bri, you are doing so incredibly great so far. I am amazed.
    But please do not be discouraged if you don’t feel a faster rate of recovery. You have had a very intense and traumatic surgery to your body.
    You are in the season of healing. It came, and now it has to go through it’s designated time to complete its days. But every season goes through different cycles.
    Just like last winter. It went on and on and on and on. This year it has trickled.
    Allow yourself to allow the time for your body to heal. You are doing well to do small walks and rest. Rest. Rest.
    Kudos to Dan for his tender care.
    I kept a journal of meds with time schedule and names.
    I find that dates are a better solution for digestion instead of stool softeners.
    Take your time.
    Praying with my sisters for your continued recovery. 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖
    Thank God for dogs.

    Bri, I am praying for your complete recovery everyday. Prayer is powerful and the Lord always answers my prayers. So I am confident you are going to be alright. Please read Psalm 91. You can Google it. It's about how the Lord loves you and protects you from harm. I read this Psalm every day. Sending you best wishes for a speedy recovery so you can get outdoors again with your wonderful husband. God Bless.

    Hey, quick question. I live in SoCal orange county but was wondering about the cost of living in Lake Tahoe?
    I’ve been following you guys on Bri’s heading journey and been praying for you guys since I heard about it.
    Much love and Godspeed healing. Peace and love to you both.

    • @tahoemountainlife
      @tahoemountainlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi- Thank you so much. I think that cost of living in Lake Tahoe is more than some areas of CA, but not as much as the Bay area or Southern CA. Things like gas, groceries and building materials can be more expensive in the basin due to less competition and the tourist nature of the market here. As far as rentals and buying homes- things really shot up during COVID. South Lake continues to be the most affordable town around the basin though. Zillow says the average home value in South Lake is around $650,000 in Dec '23. A lot of homes here though are older and smaller cabins without garages, so quite different than other areas of the US.
