Oh my goodness...... I can relate that. I made one stress ball like that but it is filled with cornstarch. I didn't tie the end properly and when I squeeze it all of the powder explodes out. And it burst out all over my floor. So now I always fill my stress ball with slime or dough.
I made squishy with only 2 things though,just balloon and some shaving cream if you want then add some sope too, it won't pop easily until you sqeesh it too hard.
HELPFUL TEACHER TIP: instead of using flour, use Play-dough. I teach kindergarteners, who break things and make messes easily. Play dough has no mess, and worked great! The only downside is how hard it is to get the play-dough into the balloon, but if you use a bigger balloon, it should be fine!

I don’t recommend this my friend brought one of these to class and while we were in class she was squishing it and it popped it was all over the floor the chair and on the table it was funny tho
