- What are the differences between powerlifting and bodybuilding?
The focus of powerlifting is to lift as much weight as possible in 3 lifts- bench, squat, and deadlift.
Powerlifting training usually involves lower repetitions, between 1 and 6 reps or so. By training at lower reps, you will more directly increase your strength in these exercises, and will be able to lift more when testing your max weight that you can lift.
Bodybuilding focuses on muscle growth and development instead of strength.
It can be helpful to think of bodybuilding as trying to make the exercises you do as hard as possible by doing things like perfecting your form, controlling the tempo of your lifts, and focusing on your mind muscle connection. Doing this will really help you to grow your muscles!
Bodybuilding training typically involves higher reps, from around 6-12 or so. There is some value in occasionally going above this range too, but most work should be roughly within these values.

4 reps?!?!?! too much cardio for me
🤣
that deadlift gave me a panic attack
Workout plan of bodybuilding and power maintain of powerlifting such a tough plan 😊
Can we do both(powerbuilding)? Any tips?
Biggest tip would be to do your heavy compound movements first, then finish the workout with a hypertrophy style workout. For example, you could do start with bench press for a 5x5 or 5x3, then move on to the rest of your exercises at 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps
Are we not gunna talk about the back groove I mean when I powerlifting my back comes up a lot but not that much
Bodybuilders are stronger than powerlifters on average
🔥Hot Take right there
On average? Where'd you pull that up? Bodybuilding is hypertrophy focused powerlifting as it implies is strength focused.
