dont really agree with your takes that echo Asmongolds and grifters that manufacture outrage over 1 persons opinion that judge the game by different values. If it wasnt for them nobody would know or care about 1 journalist's opinion, how are they telling you what to do? It may be an unpopular opinion, and isnt shared by most gamers, but woke/progressive/leftist gamers do exist, an audience does exist. The irony is youre supporting the environment where other content creators/reviewers/journalists have to tow the line and just repeat gamer opinion back to them and validate their views, unique perspectives and different values should be attacked and people who have them harassed. There is also an issue of double standards. Nobody had an issue with reports about workplace harassment at Blizzard and people still meme about them supposedly stealing breastmilk (i doubt that ever happened), so whats the issue with reports on this studio? Because feminism le bad? Wish people like you and Asmongold had more self-awareness, at least Asmongold and his editors can grift and make money off of it, but there is no benefit to you.
I've heard about the drama plenty of places. They're welcome to judge the game by that value, but its going to get pointed out since it has nothing to do with that particular game. It's like trying rate a paper weight on its aerodynamics. They're not telling me what to do, but I am mocking how insane that particular take is. Am I supporting an environment of towing the line? Or am I pointing out yellow journalism and hitpieces that are designed to sway your opinion untruthfully on things that don't impact gameplay? People's first concern is that the game is good, so it's going to called out for what it is. I don't understand what you're trying to say here, people absolutely did have issue with the reports coming out of blizzard. It wasn't well known before that point because it was covered up (hence why they got in so much trouble). The issue with reports about this studio are that they're relatively unfounded. Most of the drama has come from disingenuous translations that get used for hitpieces, and no evidence of an employee's mistreatment has been brought forward, unlike with Blizzard. I'm 100% aware of what I'm saying and I'm not saying it for some sort grift like you allege, rather I'm simply offering my opinion. If that offends you so be it.
@@Khadroth I dont allege youre doing it for the grift, but i think youre influenced by those that are. Like i said nobody would know or care if it wasnt for those who basically make it their job to to make sure as many people as possible know what theyre supposed to be angry about. I wish people cared less about things that dont impact gameplay, but that evidently isnt true given how much attention was given to SBI/DEI or whatnot. Wukong wouldnt be getting as positive reception among *those* people if it wasnt perceived as anti-feminist/based or whatever. Obviously fake stories about SBI extortion seemed to work well for marketing. On other hand you have the upcomming Assassins Creed game, gameplay wise it seems like an improved over previous games and has some innovations, and yet its already being boycotted and some want it to be banned/cancelled or whatnot. Over ... historical accuracy? Then the youve got Dragon age being called woke, even though the previous game which was very successful was more "woke" than anything today. Anyway, a lot of people care only about gameplay/combat like in EldenRing, but many people do care about story and lore. What if i rated or reviewed it much lower because i thought characters were boring and 1dimensional and barebones story? Sure that would be unpopular opinion, but it is something that impacts my experience. You can judge games by variety of values. If they cant judge it based on diversity (if they genuinely care), then people shouldnt judge games based on perceived DEI or wokeness either, no?
