Thank you so much for this, such a trip down memory lane. I sailed on this ship when it was the Brittany Ferries' Val De Loire and loved my childhood holidays to Spain. I loved this ship, it seemed huge as a child, I vividly remember exploring each deck and such was my obsession that I'd draw pictures of it whilst onboard. It's been refurbished several times since, but it still looks the same in many ways. Such a treat to see the bridge and engine rooms, thank you for making me feel young again!

@@MrGiloine I never sailed on her to France, but I did on others (Normandie, Quiberon, Duc de Normandie and Bretagne) - Portsmouth/Plymouth to Roscoff/Caen/St Malo. Great holidays, wonderful ferry company.

      @@damo85 Great !
I sailed on Trégastel, Duc de Normandie, Normandie, Corbière, Bretagne, Val de Loire, Mont Saint Michel and my first ship was Cornouailles (Poole to Cherbourg).

I sailed on her many times when she was brand new. TT-Line and was called Peter Pan (Trelleborg in Sweden to Travemünde in Germany). I actually have videos from the early 90's onboard this ship. There were table tennis in the lower part of it and a swimming pool (have that on video too). Today that lower floor is not accessible for passengers anymore, due to it is located under the sea level. I love this ship and I still recognize many things on it. As a child it was an amazing time exploring all the floors. 🙂

Yes, but there is enough life-saving equipment on board for all passengers and crew.
