And those "Otis Spunkmeyer" cookies from Subway are ... just ok. But, their white chocolate chip macadamia is pretty good. Oh, BTW ... the reason those cookies might taste "bready," is that a well-known method for "softening up" stale cookies is to put them in a container with a slice of bread ... the bread gets hard, the cookies get soft. I'm wondering if your Subway is trying to pawn off some day-old cookies on you?

As a Subway employee, I can honestly spill the beans and say yes, our cookies will smell of the bread when someone doesn't clean the oven or the proofer properly as the cookies are baked in the same space as the bread, however they never come in contact with each other at any point in their preparation for your enjoyment. If the cookies have been sitting in the cookie cabinet for a few hours (or even all day) they will smell and slightly taste like our bread but its all in the air and the smell of Subway lives everywhere when you work there. I have to wash my normal clothes separately to my work clothes because of how strong the smell of Subway lingers on my uniform. I've also had people tell me "I bet you taste like Subway" and "would YOU like the footlong for once?" and its really disturbing. Please don't harass Subway employees, it makes us really uncomfortable. Thanks x

I have a video suggestion: holidays around the world that are not celebrated in the UK, particularly the typical dishes served. So I guess it's really a suggestion for the whole year, maybe like once in a month. For example, I am from Estonia and recently we celebrated a holiday where one of the typical dishes is semla (“vastlakukkel”). (I made this suggestion once before on one of your videos but not sure you saw it). Another fun version of this could be to do it with holidays celebrated in the UK but follow the customs of other countries, i.e. typical easter dishes from other countries.
We celebrate the same thing here in Sweden and eat semla! Personally don't like them bc my tastebuds are those of a 5 year old child but would be fun to see her try!!

I had an awful day yesterday (got rejected from two jobs after interviews kind of day) and woke up today with the worst period cramps. that subway scent is inescapable. i feel like it clings to your clothes all day even if you're just in there to order your sandwich. i can only imagine what it does to the cookies that bake in the same oven.
Our Dominos here is Australia has a few dessert options, choc lava cake, oven baked churros, mini Dutch pancakes, salted caramel & chocolate mousse, hot fudge brownies & sundaes!
Also our maccas will bring out limited edition flavoured pies. Banana caramel, chocolate fudge etc
YES classical music SLAPS and it's my fave thing to listen to on the radio. classical fm and radio 3 always playing the bangers!!! never know what any of them are called but I love it anyway

For a short time, we had a dark chocolate pie at McDonald’s and it was surprisingly really good. It wasn’t too sweet and very chocolate-y. Really bummed they discontinued it.

We have a fast food place in Ireland called Supermacs and their food is fine, I like it but a lot of people aren't mad about it, but their dessert options?? To be fair I've only had the one because it's god tier you don't need to try anything else. They do a hot muffin, chocolate or blueberry, split in half, with soft serve. The most perfect food. And it's like two quid. Absolute winner.

Graaaace! I study English Language and Linguistics at uni and can tell you with a lil bit of confidence that the way you say mcflurry is completely fine! Wherever we live, we have our own dialects which can cause us to put stress on different parts of a word. e.g you might say MC flurry and others might say mcFLURry. If it doesn't sound like Standard English, it is still valid! All dialects are as correct as each other. It is a weird realisation though when you realise you say stuff in a way you didn't always realise! I sometimes just sit repeating words over n over trying to figure out how I say them😂

Were they supposed to be that gooey though? They looked really undercooked.
@@Hollyglitter they are cooked it the same oven as the pizza for the same amount of time, they just go in frozen and only take a few mins, it’s a really hot oven. Literally wack them on some baking paper and they come out like that 🤷♀️
@@Girasse if you put them through the oven again they do cook more, so i dunno 🤷♀️ but seeing as I’ve eaten them raw can confirm not poisonous 😂😂

The cookies taste like bread because they are usually cooked (and cooled) at the same time, in the same oven and cooler and cause the aromas of the bread are so powerful it makes the cookies taste like it

I work for McDonald's. We did have an extensive dessert menu before the pandemic but the ring donuts, blueberry and chocolate muffins, the cookie and the brownie went when the menu was reduced. Ngl I will sometimes eat it because its there but the millionaire doughnut isn't all that. They try too hard to be a biscoff Krispy Kreme and failed at it badly. You can get Costa drive thru and Starbucks drive thrus in some places. There's a Costa one in Plymouth and I know there's a Starbucks one at Gordano services in Bristol

Here in America last year during Thanksgiving and Christmas time, McDonalds had pumpkin pie and eggnog pie. Also every year in March for St Patrick’s Day they have mint flavored green milk shakes called shamrock shake. Yummy!
I had soooo many shamrock ☘️ shakes and shamrock ☘️ Oreo McFlurry’s this year! They are the best. I got an Andes candy mint shake at Arby’s today with chocolate syrup. It’s more like mint chocolate chip ice cream than mcds so it’s good too.

Such a great video! I used to work at Subway and the reason you may be getting the vibes is because the cookies and bread are cooked in the same oven, and we’d always have to cook the bread first thing in the morning since it look longer then the cookies to cook ☺️😂

I love McDonald’s apple pie, especially with a hot caramel latte! I’ll choose Papa John’s over Dominos any day. Right now our PJs has the choco cookie like you got, as well as the cinnamon knots, in addition to their double chocolate chip brownie.
