This is the bike pretty much @ full throttle .. You could probably do this in 4th to a certain extent then switch to 5th. The bike generally does about 60-70 comfortably.
I can get my 125 up to over 70mph. I bought it to drive on a car licence in France. i am 6ft and 16 stone and it still pulls well with my wife on the back who weaighs about 8 1/2 stone. Its a lovely little machine - people often mistake it for a 500 or 750.
I am in between buying the 125 shadow or the yamaha xv 125 after watching this i think it could be the honda its just a case of finding a good one with some extras thrown in.Thanks for uploading your vids mate enjoyed them
I am really wanting one of these...I am a big fan of cruisers and looks like a brilliant bike but they are bloody rare to find! I currently own an Aprilia RS125 and that thing shifts! Had 90mph out of it so far and it still had more to give.
ive got the varadero 125, it uses the same v-twin engine, mine sits comfortably at 65-70, ive had it up to 78 balls out, wich is fairly respectfull for a 125, especially a 125 as big as a 500 in size and for what it weighs compared to normal 125's, the only problem with them v-twin engines in the shadow 125 and varadero 125's is that they eat camshaft bearings if you ride them hard, ( well as hard as a 125 will ride lol ) ive changed mine twice in 1500 miles, the problem lies with oil not getting to the top of the engine very well, and on the varadero pre 07 carb models, they build up a lot of condensation in the airbox which gets into the cam covers and turns the oil milky in the top of the engine, a simple mod of the water collection pipe in the airbox will help with this, as standard its too short and unless you empty it daily it will overflow, simply get a longer bit of pipe to allow for those days when you've not riden it a while and or forgotten to empty it,
Thats the road between cumbernauld and airdrie... If you look closely you can see its all down hill lol and its quite a big hill... Ma terra 125 would hit 90 easy on a hill that big lol
