Correction it was anos and militia that met first and he became fond of her and she was the only one he considered a friend as he hated the gods. It was also militia who was the reason he even went to see abernyu because in the every seven years he goes to see militia, she was quite lonely and often talked about her sister who she’s never met, so he took it upon himself to bring letters to militia from abernyu so they could communicate ( hence abernyu fell in love with anos in the process). Also it was militia who asked anos to reincarnate her sister as a demon so she could be happy in her next life as militia was willing to die to create a new world for everyone. She just wasn’t able to take into account being reincarnated with her as they are two sides of a coin. In the latter part, when they meet the gods, and militia tries to sacrifice herself again, anos basically tells her how important she is to him and that the 7 months since they met all the memories they made he kept in his heart. There are always sweet intimate moments with the two of them as opposed to where Sasha is always openly expressing her strong feelings and kissing and stuff. I mean Sasha/abernyu is important to him as well but you see him treat her the same way he treats the other ladies as well, you don’t really see him being kind and nice and be a better man/demon as opposed to when he is with Misha.

@ if I read it correctly it was his way of granting her what she truly desired, before taking her life force and turning her into the castle, it was a promise to basically live a better happier life in the next one as for her to be truly happy. She was in love with him and what I infer from reading the light novels, is he knows her feelings. He has always been very generous in that sense, granting everyone happiness is what he strives for and if that is to be with him in the next life as well, he would do it. He does this not just for women around him but for his male friends as well (he made it possible for Reno and shin to get their happy ending, he made it so that Lay and Misa would be able to be together), he would do anything for everyone he cares for. But he did not kiss her and promise to live together in the next life because he actually had romantic feelings for her. That’s why she said she wants him to love her for real and not just bcoz offering his heart or eyes would be what make her happy. I’m also not saying he is also in love with Misha because he is also like that to her. And he himself said he is also still learning what love (not just the romantic kind) is. As much as I like Misha, the show is leaning more to a harem-like show where everyone gets to be with anos in some way or another.
