The term “tsundere” is a combination of the Japanese words “tsun tsun” (aloof, sour) and “dere dere” (flirtatious, in love) from Google so I definitely think he is one but I'm not 100% sure
i'm pretty sure a tsundere is someone who act's(and, or is thought of as) mean but is actually kind (a good person in nature/general) (idk how to explain it properly but yea, and in that case, wolfram is a tsundere)

also, i remember there was a bit where yuri got lost with the older brother, and wolfram was like panicking and shit. "He's with Yuri. He likes small and cute things! Yuri's both!" probably not exact words but i found it hilarious at that time but did not get the gist.

When they revealed thar wolfram was a boy and yuri had (accidentally) proposed to him, young me accepted it so fast and moved on. But now I strongly believe these two were the reason I got so into BL
I remember when I first watched this as a kid, I have no idea what BL is whatsoever and took YurixWolfram’s engagement as smth completely normal n didn’t thought about Wolfram being a man and thought Yuri was just in denial with his affection for Wolfram. XD Asian dramas made me do that XD Now that I’m older and fujoshi, I could def see what they did here XD

Nostalgic! This anime opened my world to BL! 😂 I can't forget how shocked I was when Yuuri slapped Wolfram and then they we're engaged. I was like "but they're both guys?!?" I was so struck I ended up finishing everything and went out to search for "anime like KKM" and there I was introduced to the word "shounen ai". Ah it's been 8/9 years 😂 I was obsessed with this, I learned making AMVs and discovered the world of fanfics as well.

seeing that a bunch of old time viewers of this anime was just "i shipped this even before i know what 'gay' was" is just interesting how if people were to grow up purely liking romance then encountering their first same gender romance story will just play it off as any other romance.
I didn't know what 'gay' was at the time but I had multiple gay ships throughout my childhood watching movies and animes. These ships aren't even established, I just felt like they would seem lovely if they love eachother in a romantic way
Man this anime was one of the oldest isekais. I still rewatch it from time to time. They need to remake it or make a new season, i heard the novels were pretty good and ended way differently from the anime.
Also its been such a long time since ive heard Yuuri's voice actor act as an innocent boy character, all hes been doing lately are bad guys lmao

It’s one of those things that’s got a pretty good anime, but 90% of the BL content, and therefore, 90% of the character development, was cut out. It’s still a fantastic anime. I just recommend the light novels and the various official short stories more. You can find those online. The relationship actually goes somewhere in the light novels.
I dropped it I prefer watching clips its about the mc getting saved over and over again but yeah its not bad if you wanna watch like lots of eps I dropped it on ep 70.

I have watch this anime few times over always fun to watch but I wish that Yuri would fall in love with wolfram but it doesn't happen but is still fun to watch though I know Yuri start care very much for Wolfram in the anime but he never tells that he loves him
I think that part will happen when Yuri grows up a bit more. He's still very young and still very new to that world. Among all the massive changes in his life, it is expected that love takes a backseat. But you know something far better is happening during the show. He develops a bond, a friendship based on trust and faith with Wolfram and with them raising a little girl together, their bond is going to be unbreakable. And these are one of the best foundations that you can ever lay for any relationship. Trust and friendship. When Yuri does fall, oohhh it's going to be beautiful!
Tbh the anime really down-played the whole romantic subtext between the two (even if they're engaged) in the novels (and even the manga) it's way more obvious that Yuuri actually likes him but is just dealing with a lot of internalized homophobia (because of Japan's cultural context and Yuuri's parents who weren't the most supportive, but at least his brother is) but it is very much a slow-burn between the two and they do end up loving each other mutually. (The author even made a comment that they'd have sex once they're married, so the affection is definitely mutual)

First time I watched this I thought their engagement was an ongoing joke brought by cultural misunderstanding and both of them didn't break their engagement because of their pride. Now I find that Wolfram actually liked Yuri and that has changed how I remember this anime. Note Yuri accidentally proposed when he slapped wolfram with the wrong hand.
Ngl i rlly love em and this anime but i swear they did wolfram dirty in anime. Cuz in manga hes much more mature and calm compare to him being comedy relief tsundere. Also as result, it look like yuuri got forced to wolfram. Btw in manga has very diff storyline, and yuuram moment is much sweeter there with yuuri treat wolfram like his fiance instead of feeling cringe towards him. And remember that wolfram is over 80 yrs old, he should be mature than yuuri

This lovely young lad replies to every comment deeming Yuri and Wolframs relationship to be vile. Make of it what you will, but when you do rewatch the anime take it in at your own pace. Know relationships develop more deeply in the manga too, so if you do happen to be interested in the anime, have a read. It makes all the difference.
I watch this on Animax during I was a child and I don't it is shonen ai. Lol I never thought I watch a shonen ai anime so early and didn't realize it until I grow up. I thought " The world Great first love" was my first shonen ai anime. 😂
