Dimebag and Vinnie Paul were brothers.. Dime was shot on stage years ago by a loon.. Vinnie died just a couple years ago. Heart attack? I grew up in the music scene (my husband that passed was a metal guitarist) and my kids are in a band now.. Vinnie was friends with my friends. Vegas was a great place to grow up. ❤

@@JammaOG you are right. For some reason I can't find the original article, but the guy said he was in a chat room with Phil and Phil blamed dimebag for the breakup. Now all the articles claim that the guy was mad because Pantera stole his songs he never wrote. He was going to shoot Vinnie also but the off duty cop/security put a 12 gauge through his chest.

All of these rock and country songs have been a part of my 38 years on this planet. I am true southern ginger who is getting a better appreciation for these songs by watching my brother-from-another-mother experience them for the first time.
This is their 1st album. Almost every album after that got heavier. The next album "Vulgar Display of Power" is probably the fave among most HC Pantera fans. The Next..."Far Beyond Driven" is aptly named! This band is all about kicking ass!
Actually there's the infamous Power Metal album before that, not bad but it's a different era, I like some forgotten songs like "over and out"

Pantera...I first heard them when I was 13 years old. I am 28 now and not a damn day has passed since then where I havent listened to at least one of their songs.
This and their cover of Planet Caravan are the only times you will hear PANTERA being this mellow.

Pantera- Domination Live in Moscow!
I saw Pantera perform this live in a very small venue called the Peppermint Beach Club in Virginia Beach, VA in April of 1991. Yes, it was awesome. They sounded great and it was crazy since the stage was just right there so close to the crowd. I left there with hearing damage but it came back after about a day. I would not do that now, I know better LOL. Don't ruin your hearing kids!

So sad the two of them are dead so they'll never be around again. People will think I'm exaggerating LOL definitely got to see them seven times. From Buffalo, to Pennsylvania, to Columbus Ohio. You should really listen to full song sometime. The song actually starts off very slow and mellow then builds to the heavy part that video starts off at. It really makes the song a lot better and have a different vibe
